The rest of the summer Melany had was spent with Izzy. They ran around Hogwarts and planned pranks for the year coming. The last week of summer Melany went over to Izzy's house. Her mother, Nymphadora, was very nice. Melany helped around with the chores and when the time finally came, Melany and Izzy packed together. Melany was confident that he would be in ravenclaw but neither of them could figure out what house Izzy'd be in. The drive to Kings Cross Station was extremely long, though it didn't feel like it. Melany and Izzy chatted the whole way there.

When they finally got there Melany and Izzy went as fast as they could while still dragging extremely heavy trunks, plus melanys bag and cat, Riddle. Riddles a small, slim, black cat. They didn't bother waiting for tonks and she didn't bother catching up with them. They both ran directly at the pillar in between platform nine and ten.

Before them was a beautiful, bright red train with the words "Hogwarts Express" on it. Above them was a sign that said Platform 9 3/4. They said good bye to Tonks and boarded the train. They walked down the train hall. All the compartments were filled. They finally found two to the very back. Each of them had two people. One had a boy with jet black hair and round spectacles and a boy with red hair like Melanys and a face full of freckles. Across from that was a compartment with two girls with jet black hair only one had round spectacles like the boy in the othe compartment. They chose the compartment with the two girls. When they entered the two girls stopped conversing and stared at Melany and Izzy.
