(This was supposed to be a Sadie and/or Jax post but I decided to make it be a Otis post cause of it being father's day so enjoy!)

After all that with Arianna and Lydia Darren got dressed and ready for the day as he goes to the kitchen to get some breakfast when he saw Otis there, drinking some coffee. Otis saw him and smiles "Good morning Kiddo!" He said to him.

"Morning." Darren said before asking, "What's for breakfast?" Otis looks at the plate he made for him "Eggs, bacon, toast and pancakes! What kind of drink and fruit you want and do you want anything on your toast?" He asked him as Darren sat at the counter "Milk, strawberries and butter please."

"Coming right up!" Otis gives him a glass of milk before putting cut up strawberries on his plate and then putting butter on his toast. Otis then gave him his plate "Thanks Otis." Darren said as Otis smiles "No problem kiddo!" He gave him a kiss on the cheek which made Darren's eyes widen a bit and hold his cheek. None of his previous foster dad's ever kissed his cheek. Hell, never even got to know him or talk to him unless it was to tell him to do chores, stay out of trouble at school or to get out of his room more.

That shock slowly turned into a fatherly warmth, Darren was confused though by it as Otis noticed his face "Oh, my bad, sorry didn't mean to kiss your cheek on your first day! I understand how it takes some time with kids to get comfortable with their foster parents." He told him as Darren shook his head a bit "Oh no, it's okay..." He smiles a bit on the inside which is rare for him.

He starts eating his food "This is pretty good." He told him as Otis smiles "Thanks! I'm the only one who can cook so I'm glad you enjoy my cooking!" Darren ate all of it "Thanks for the food." "No problem! We'll have to leave in 15 minutes so go finished getting ready." Otis told him as he took away his plate for him. Darren nods and goes to get his backpack.
