I watch as Percy steps outside. Ron, Hermione, and I looks at each. Silently we agree, we are going to follow Percy to find out more about him.

Ron runs upstairs and returns from our room with the invisibility cloak. We throw it over ourselves and follow Percy outside. When we get outside he starts jogging. No, scratch that. Running. 

We follow him all the way to the lake, and when we get there we are sweating and out of breath. We look to where Percy is and he's just sitting at the edge of the lake, he doesn't even appear to be sweating. He turns towards us and we think he sees us, but then he does something that surprises us.

"Jason!" Percy shouts. We turn and see a blonde guy walking towards Percy from around the lake.

"Percy!" The guy, Jason I think, shouts, "How have you been?"

"Good." Percy replies as Jason sits down next to him, "How's camp?"

Camp? I wonder what camp they're talking about. It must be a summer camp and they both work there.

"It's good. Thalia is really mad at you for disappearing, again." Jason tells Percy.

I wonder who Thalia is. And what does the blonde guy mean by 'disappearing again'?

Suddenly Percy turns towards where we are hiding under the cloak. Ron had just stepped on a patch of dead grass. I didn't hear anything and it doesn't look like Hermione did either. "Jason," he says, "you need to leave. I'm afraid that our conversation is no longer private." (Goblet of Fire? No, just me. Okay). We watch as Jason gets up from his seated position and runs back in the direction he came. Percy walks up to us and says, "If you are going to spy on someone, you guys need to hide better." We take off our cloak, knowing that it's useless to hide any longer. 

"How did you know that we were here?" Hermione asks.

"I heard Ron step on that patch of grass. Before that I just sensed a presence, but I ignored because I thought that is was just a group of birds." He tells us. We are all surprised that Percy heard Ron. Before I can say anything Hermione asks another question. Correction, 3  questions.

"What camp are you talking about? And who is Thalia? What did your friend mean by 'disappearing again'?" She rapid fires these question toward Percy.

"The camp is a camp that Jason and I work at together during the summers. Thalia is my cousin, and I tend to disappear a lot because I travel a lot with my girlfriend. Thalia hates it when I don't tell her that I'm traveling and is really angry at me each time I see her after not telling her." He answers each of Hermione's questions calmly. "Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go tell her that I'm traveling so that she isn't super mad when I get back." And with that he turns to run back to the house, leaving us with one question.

Why did Jason need to leave when he realized we were there?
