There was a big black figure in the sky. It breathed fire from four mouths and it continued to come closer towards me and the other students. To make it even worst there's a whole bunch of them!

I readied my patas (gauntlet swords) and got into a fighting position.

"Come at me you monster!" I yelled.

The monster just landed on the ground and stopped moving completely. Maybe it was waiting for me to make a move first? But despite the new threat appearing, the other students gave me weird looks as they walked towards that thing.

"What are you doing?! It'll kill you!" I tried warning them.

But they continued walking towards the beast. Then the side of one of the beasts opened up and-THEY WALKED INSIDE IT?!

"What are you crazy? Its like you never seen a ship before." A guy said as they walked past me.

"A ship?" I questioned. "No. No I haven't."

So I'm guessing this.... Thing is the only way to Beacon huh?

 I slowly walked up to the "ship" and reluctantly entered. I really don't like the feeling of being inside here. Inside was a pretty big room that had a lot of open windows. I touched one of the walls.

Cold...... It's metal?

I glanced around the room and took note of the other people around me. There was a blond haired guy, a blond haired girl, a short girl who had black hair with red tips, and a few others. Everyone looked nice, maybe I can friends with one of them?

Suddenly, a low rumble jolted through the ship, as I felt the "ship" started to move. I glancing aside to a window, I could see the other ships, along with our own, rise up off the ground and into the sky.

"Woah." I muttered as the ship started to soar through the sky.

So this is what humanity has created.....

As I admired the view that window has given me, a boy with blonde hair and blue eyes almost immediately started to turn green.

"Ohhhhhhh." He groaned, before quickly leaning against one of the windows to support himself.

I glanced over at the other students again, watching as some of them talked to one another. There was this one pair that really caught my eye. It was a blond haired girl with lilac eyes and a happy expression squeezing the life out of the other girl with a hug.

"Oh, I can't believe my baby sister is going to Beacon with me! This is the best day ever!" The blond girl said.

"Please stop." The other girl said while trying to gasp for air.

I chuckled as I turned and looked out the window once again. The scene reminded me when Sasha would nuzzle me during the winter to keep me warm. I'll miss my sister's warmth.

My attention was regained by a low groaning sound. Looking to my side I noticed that the blond guy from before was next to me trying not to vomit out the window.

"You okay there buddy?" I asked.
He shook his head no. "I guess you'll be fine when we land. I don't want to be in here as long as I need to. Even if we're flying."

I heard him hold back the vomit.
"Sorry." I apologized.

Then a.....T.....V? came on and had a blond woman with glasses on was on it.

"Hello, and welcome to Beacon." The woman said.

"Who's that?" Me and the blond girl asked. We both gave each other a look.

"My name is Glynda Goodwitch." The woman said.

"Oh." The blond girl said.

Did she hear us say that?

"You are among the privileged few who have received the honor if being selected to attend this prestigious academy! Our world is experiencing an incredible time of peace, and as future hunters and huntresses, it's your duty to uphold it. You have demonstrated courage needed for the task, and now it is our turn to provide you with the knowledge and training to protect our world." Glynda said before she disappeared from the TV.

"I didn't understand half the words she said but I'm somehow motivated!" I said excitedly as I fist pumped the air.

"Yeah!" The other kids punched the air with me.

Then that's when the blond guy ran over to the other side of the ship and threw up.

"It was a nice moment while it lasted." The short girl said.

Timeskip

 After a pretty short flight, the ship transporting us landed on the ground with a thud. When the doors opened to let us out, the blond guy ran out first immediately, probably to throw up again. But I quickly followed behind him, wanting to leave the "ship" as quickly as possible.

The other guy ran to a trash can and, like I predicted, continued to throw up.

It's been 20 minutes how is he still going?

I walked over to him and patted his back for comfort.

"Let it all out buddy." I said.

As I tried comforting him, I looked up and saw the amazing place in front of me. Beacon was HUGE! It looked like what a castle would be described as.

"This place looks awesome....." I said excitedly.

The blond guy stop throwing up and looked around too.

"Woah...." He said.

"Got it all out?" I asked.

"Yeah, and thanks." He said.

"No problem. I'm (Y/N) by the way." I introduced myself.

"I'm J-"

A loud explosion went off nearby. Me and my new friend looked over and saw the short girl from earlier covered in ash with a another girl who looked really angry. The other girl shook off the soot to reveal a girl with white hair, dark blue eyes, wearing a white dress. She looks pretty actually.

"Unbelievable! This is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about!" The white haired girl yelled.

"I'm really, really sorry!" The short girl tried apologizing.

"Ugh, you complete dolt!"

Okay.... She's angry....

"What are you even doing here? Aren't you a little too young to be attending Beacon?" The white haired girl asked.

I looked at my friend.

"I'm gonna help her. Be right back!" I walked in their direction.

"H-hey! Wait up for me!" He shouted as he hurried after me.

"Well, I-I..."

"This isn't your ordinary combat school. It's not just sparring and practice, you know! We're here fighting monsters, so watch where you're going!" The white haired girl shouted.

"Maybe you should lay off ice queen!" I shouted.

"Good one." My friend said.

Both girls looked at me and had different looks. The short girl was smiling while the other girl looked flustered? But she quickly shook the look off and scowled.

"She should have been watching where she was going!" She shouted at me.

"She said she was sorry! Just let her be and stop being spoiled!" I shouted back.

She stormed up to me and got all in my face.

"Do you even know who you're talking too?!" She shouted.

But before I could say something that would be censored for the younger audience, it's a word starting with a 'b', I was interrupted by a girl wearing a bow.

"Weiss Schnee, heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, one of the largest producers of energy propellant in the world." The girl wearing a bow said.
She's a Schnee? Raven said they were cold but I didn't think she meant literally.

Weiss gave a smug smile.

"Finally! Some recognition!"

"The same company infamous for its controversial labor forces and questionable business partners." She continued.

Me, the short girl, and my friend chuckled as Weiss was getting angrier.

"Wha- How dare you- The nerve of....Ugh!" Weiss said.

She picked up the remaining dust containers and stormed off with a butler, I think, pushed her luggage along.

"I promise I'll make it up to you!" The short girl shouted to Weiss.

"I guess I'm not the only one having a rough day." The short girl muttered.

"Thanks for the he-" I was talking to the girl with the bow but she walking away. She looks pretty too.
Then I thought I saw her bow.....twitch? Naw....

I turned back to the my friend and the girl.

"Hey. I'm Jaune." He said as he extended his hand to the girl.

"I'm (Y/N)." I said.

"Ruby." She focused on Jaune. "Aren't you the guy that threw up on the ship?"

Silence....

"Well you made a great first impression." I said to Jaune.

Mini Timeskip

 Me, Ruby, and Jaune started walking around Beacon. Ruby was trying to apologize to Jaune for calling him "Vomit Boy". I hope that doesn't stick with him.

"All I'm saying is that motion sickness is a much more common problem then most people let on!" Jaune argued.

"Look, I'm sorry! Vomit boy was the first thing that came to mind." Ruby said.

"Oh, yeah? What if I called you Crater Face?" Jaune said.

"Hey, that explosion was an accident!" Ruby yelled at Jaune, causing me to chuckle.

"Well, the name's Jaune Arc! Short, sweet, rolls off the tongue. Ladies love it!" Jaune said with a smirk.

"Sure they do." I said patting his shoulder.

"Do they?" Ruby said in a skeptic tone.

"They will! Well, I-I hope they will. My mom always says that.....never mind." Jaune said defeatedly.

"Don't worry Jaune they will. I bet some girl is already attracted to you." I said.

"Really?" He asked.

"Really."

3rd Person

A certain red head passes by the group. She stares at Jaune for a second, smiles, then continues to walk away.

Did anyone else feel that?

"So......I got this thing!" Ruby says.
She pulls out a giant, red and black scythe that stabbed into the ground.

"Whoa! Is that a scythe?" Jaune and I said.

"It's also a customizable high-impact sniper rifle." She said.

"A-wha....?" Jaune saud confused.

"It's a sniper rifle." I explained as Ruby cocked her rifle and smiled.

"So what do you got Jaune?" Ruby asked.

"Oh! I, uh.....Got this sword!" Jaune pulled out a sword.

"Ooooooohhhhhh!" Ruby said.

"Yeah, and I've got this shield too!" Jaune pulled out a shield.

"So, what do they do?" Ruby asked.

Jaune started fumbling with his shield as it started to shrink, then grow big, then shrink down again before he caught it and put it on his belt.

"The shield gets smaller, so when I get tired of carrying it, I can just.....put it away...." He said.

"But.....wouldn't it weigh the same?" Ruby asked.

"Yeah, it does...." Jaune's head dropped in defeat.

"Well at least you wouldn'thave to carry it on your arm all the time...." I said.

"What do have (Y/N)?" Ruby asked.

"Oh. I got these!"

I showed her my (F/C) gauntlets, then the swords popped from front of them. Ruby's eyes sparkled brightly and she even started shaking as she squealed.

"Woah. That's cool too." Jaune complimented.

"They also can turn into this." I said.
In a instant the blades retracted and two cannons appeared on top of the gauntlets. Ruby started drooling at my weapon.

I looked up in the sky and saw a couple of birds flying overhead. I aimed one blaster towards the birds and I closed one eye. I fired and a white light hit one if the birds. It didn't even leave a trace of it, other than the smell of cooked duck.

"Birdie No!!!!" Ruby shouted.

"Sorry." I scratched the back of my head. "Um, Ruby? You're drooling."

Ruby swiped away the drool and started to talk.

"Sorry. I'm kind if a dork when it cones to weapons, soooo...... I guess I do get a overboard when I see peoples' weapons." Ruby said.

"No need to be sorry. I'm the same way! Where I'm from there's literally no weapons, but I did find a couple of blueprints of weapon designs. Ever since then I always wanted to see other people's weapons." I said.

Ruby smiled and we continued to walk.

"So why'd you helped me out back there? In the courtyard?" Ruby asked.

"You looked nice and I couldn't just leave you to get scolded at." I answered.

Ruby had a tint of red on her face.

"I was following (Y/N) but I agree. My mom always says, 'Strangers are just friends you haven't met yet'." Jaune said.

"Hmm." Ruby looked around. "Hey, where are we going?" Ruby asked.

"Oh, I don't know! I was following you." Jaune said.

"I was following (Y/N)." Ruby said.

"I'm just walking." I answered.

"You think there might be a directory? Maybe a food court? Some sort of recognizable landmark? Is, uh...... Is that a no?" Jaune asked.

"That's a no Jaune." Ruby said laughing.

"Guys? What's a food court?" I asked.
