Part 3
I woke up in a strange room. I looked around and couldn't find anyone. I didn't have anything to do so i started singing.
(She Used to Be Mine- Sara Bareilles)
It's not simple to say, that most days, i don't recognize me, that these shoes and this apron, that place and it's patrons have taken more that i gave them. It's not easy to know, i'm not anything like i used to be although it's true, i was never attention's sweet center, i still remember that girl.
She's imperfect, but she tries, she is good, but she lies, she is hard on herself, she is broken and won't ask for help, she is messy but she's kind, she is lonely, most of the time, she is all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie, she is gone but she used to be mine.
And it's not what i asked for, sometimes life just slips in through a backdoor, and carves out a person who makes you believe it's all true, and now i've got you. And you're not what I asked for, if i'm honest i know i would give it all back for a chance to start over and rewrite an ending or too, for the girl that i knew
Who'll be reckless, just enough, who'll get hurt, but who learns how to toughen up,when she's bruised and gets used by a man who can't love, and then she'll get stuck, and be scared of the life that's inside her, growing stronger each day 'til it finally reminds her,to fight just a little, to bring back the fire in her eyes, that's been gone, but used to be mine, used to be mine
She is messy, but she's kind, she is lonely most of the time, she is all of this mixed up and baked in a beautiful pie,she is gone, but she used to be mine
I finished the song and then noticed that I had started crying.
I wiped my eyes as the thundermans walked in. Barb and Hank. My parents enemies. I stood up and got into defense mode.
"It's alright, we aren't here to hurt you," Hank said.
"We are here to help," Barb said.
"Do you have any super powers," Hank asked.
"Yes," I replied in a monotone voice, my face was like stone, no emotion.
"May we know what these powers are?" Barb asked. I sighed.
"Elemental and super strength, I also have a high IQ," I stated.
They nodded," We will have you test your powers," Hank said. Phoebe walked in and i gave them a confused face.
"Phoebe has trained her powers well, you will go against her," Barb said. I nodded and got in fighting stance.
Hank said go and i changed into my super hero form. My hair changed to a Silver color and grew longer, my outfit changed to my super hero uniform, my mask went on my face, and my shoes changed to my fighting shoes (her superhero uniform is in the picture about her). They had wide eyes. Phoebe snapped out of it. I sent water out of my hands and froze them into ice senbon needles. I sent them towards Phoebe, she manged to dodge them but one of them scratched her arm. I ran towards her with speed, i brought my fist back and went to punch her. She dodged and i punched the wall. It created a huge crater and cracked the wall. How thick are these walls. I ran after Phoebe. She stepped a vine trap i had set earlier. She stepped in it and it tied her feet together. I used more vines to tie her up. My mind was blank as i swiftly made an ice knife and got it near her throat.
"STOP!!!!" Barb and Hank yelled just in time. I had cut a scratch on her throat. Enough to bleed but not kill her. I snapped out of it and got off her, i released her from the trap. She look petrified. Barb and Hank ran to her. I just stood there with no emotion on my face. In my mind i was slightly scared of what i have become. Phoebe stood and left the room.
"Well," Hank said and cleared his throat," You have proven that you can kill, i guess, but are you good or bad." By this point both thundermans were on guard.
"Neither," I said. They looked confused," I have never been anything. My parents made sure of that. No matter how hard i trained or tried to run away, i wasn't able to get away. I have never helped them, but i have never helped the heros either. I don't know what i am. I don't know who i am."
They looked sorry for me. I clenched my fist. I hate it when people give me that look.
"Well, you will be living with us from now on, we can't afford to have you running around if you decide to be evil," Hank said. I nodded and followed him. Memories flashed through my head. I stopped walking as i remembered stuff from my childhood.
"Are you okay," Hank said. I nodded and continued to walk. We were in a van going to their house when they asked me a question.
"What did your parents do to you?" Barb asked. I remembered the way my mom beat me and my dad watched laughing.
"I don't trust you guys enough to tell you," I said. A tear ran down my cheek, i quickly wiped it away.
