Chapter 7

"Why did you have to agree to that?" Jay asked annoyed walking into Sky's house Tuesday after school.

"Because if I didn't I wouldn't pass year 11" Sky said, closing the front door behind them.

"But I have plans for us on Thursday" Jay said sitting on the couch in the living room.

Sky sat next to him, "What kind of plans?" she asked while trying to be cute but sexy, it didn't seem to work.

"It doesn't matter now" Jay said sighing and leaning back on the sofa.

Sky realised she just disappointed him. "I'm sorry."

"It's fine. If you don't want to spend time with your boyfriend and would rather be with a tutor, then fine" Jay said annoyed.

As he popped his head up off the sofa to look at Sky she leaned in and kissed him. Before she had the chance to make it more passionate Jay pulled away from her.

He left. Sky was confused by him, what was the big deal.

---

It had been 15 minutes in the car with Jay. They were on their way to Sky's house.

"Maybe I could come to your place for dinner?" Sky asked, breaking the silence.

"Um, nah I think my mum already made it and there probably won't be enough" Jay said.

"Well do you want to come and have dinner at my place?" Sky said concerned by the lack of emotion Jay had shown her over the last couple days.

"It's okay Sky. We'll have dinner another night together" Jay said frustrated at her persistence.

Sky closed her mouth, unsure of what to say. Jay seemed really annoyed at her but why? Because she blew him of once?

They arrived at Sky's house. Before getting out of the car she leaned over to kiss Jay. He backed out of it.

"What's wrong?" Sky asked, becoming frustrated by him.

"Just get out of the car Sky" Jay said looking away from her.

Sky sat and looked at him for a few more seconds. She didn't understand what was happening. Why was he being so distant toward her?

"I'll see you tomorrow then" she said then got out of the car.

He didn't say anything to her, he just drove off.

---

Jung Kook was still confused by Sky. Why not just ask for his book during class? Why go to the trouble of organising a tutor?

Taehyung had texted him shortly after leaving the school and asked to come over, so by the time Jung Kook got home Taehyung was just arriving.

Taehyung had also invited some friends with him. They were all involved in music at school. There was only one other guy from Jung Kooks year level; Jimin.

They were all hang out; Jung Kook's parents didn't seem to mind. There were happy that Jung Kook finally had some new friends.

They were all hanging out and talking when the older guy's phones went off. Jung Kook watched as they checked what was going on.

"Looks like Jay and Sky are throwing another party" Yoongi said. He was one of the older guys Jung Kook had just met.

"When?" Jung Kook asked, confused but curious.

"Friday" Taehyung answered, "Their parties are always on Friday."

"Yeah, that's because everyone who goes to them needs a full weekend to recover" Namjoon said and some of the guys started laughing.

"Oh and it's at Sky's house this time" Yoongi said, he seemed surprised.

"Really?" Namjoon said shocked, looking back at the message on his phone. "It's never been at her place."

"Yeah isn't her dad a cop or something?" Jimin asked looking over at one of the guy's phones.

"What's the big deal?" Jung Kook asked. He was so lost in the situation.

"Well because everyone gets wasted at their parties and if there's a cop walking around then it probably won't be very fun" Namjoon said.

"She wouldn't have organised it to be at her place though if her dad was home" Yoongi said, "It will still be a lit party."

"Do you want to come with us, Jung Kook?" Jimin asked.

Jung Kook had gone to parties and got drunk before, but this seemed different. There was more reputation behind it.

"Yeah, you want to? Just don't embarrass us for inviting you" Taehyung teased.

Jung Kook thought for a second. Did he really want to be at a party with Jay?

"...What time?"
