Invisible

Nico's Pov (300 years ago)

Darkness and Pain...

LOTS of Pain...

That's the last thing I remeber.

I don't know why.

I don't remeber why I was in pain or who I was.

That is, until the moon told me. I'm not crazy, I swear. The only thing he ever told me was my name. Nico Di Angelo.

He never told me where I was, where I was from, why I'm here...nothing.

I was laying on the grass in this...I'd guess Military training camp. There were tons of kids walking around in armor and carrying weapons.

"Uhm...hello?" My voice was a bit raspy since my throat was dry. I coughed a few times and slowly stood up. A trio of guys walked past me, they spoke in hushed voices and moved along quickly.

"H-Hey!" I jogged after them, careful not to run into anyone.

They rushed into the woods; their voices getting louder as they got farther away from everyone else. They made their way to a clearing with me trailing behind them. They sat down on a few rocks that was positioned to form a circle.

There were three guys. All were taller and more built then I was, which might I say made me feel a bit self conscious.

One had black hair with sea green eyes. He kept fiddling with a pen and tapping his foot.

Another had blonde hair with sky blue eyes, he kept adjusting and cleaning his glasses.

The last one had black hair with chocolate brown eyes. He aggressively kicked rocks back into the line of trees that surrounded us.

I went to say something, but stopped short. All their eyes were filled with constant guilt and sadness. What could have made them all so upset? I don't know.

I sighed and walked closer.

"Listen, I don't know where I am so can you-" I gasped and stumbled back holding my chest.

A fourth male seemed to appear out of thin air. He was dressed all in black, and where it did look good on him, it didn't seem like his color. His hair was a dirty blonde and his skin somewhat tan.

"Hey, Will." They all greeted, solemnly.

"Hey guys." Hearing his voice was like a punch in the gut. He seemed broken and lost. For some strange reason I wanted to hug him and cry, but I don't know him or any of them.

My voice was shaky as I slowly put the pieces together. I'm not real. They can't see me. I'm invisible.

What do I do now?

Where do I go?

If no one can see me...

The sound of a horn split through the night.  The four teens shot up and ran towards the sound.

I wanted to follow, but why? No one can see me. What's the point in all this.

Who were they?

Why am I here?

"WHY CAN'T I REMEMBER ANYTHING?!" I yelled up to the sky.

I wasn't expecting an answer, and I didn't get one.

To this day, I still have no idea of the names of the boys I saw or who they were.

I don't think I'll ever get the chance to find out. The night air seemed to get colder as the sky got darker. A smooth voice pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Ready to go, Nico?"

"Yeah." I stood up and looked at the figure, "Let's do this."
