{60} Keep tapping please, boutonnieres, and red lipstick

{I'm just really fascinated with dreams if you couldn't tell}

I sigh as I watch the lit up city below.  Cars honking and faded music soaks into my ears.  It's late, too late.  I just want my fiance to come to sleep.  He, on perfect timing, opens the bedroom door.  Harry stands there just in boxers then walks towards me.

I smile as he presses his lips to my temple, then all over my face.  "Stop it." I giggle.  He scoops me up and I curl into his body.  Suddenly, I feel the soft mattress underneath me.  Now I know it's my favorite part of the day.  When I get to relax with the man I am going to marry.

"Nice pajamas." Harry winks and pulls my tank top off.

He lays next to me, and we snuggle as close as we can get, our legs tangled.  I push his curls out of his face and it reminds me of the young boy I first met.  His hair is always styled up now but very handsome.  Harry interlocks our fingers and I smile at the ring on his.  He starts tapping my shoulder.

I become half asleep and things happen fast.  There's knocks on the door.  People walking around.  Voices.  Crinkling of dresses taken out of bags.  And... Harry tapping on my shoulder.  Shit.  That was dream.  It felt so real.

Can I casually live in dream world?  Because today's the day I will move.  Tonight I will.  My dad can't even wait till the day after the dance.  But once again, at least I get to go. I want to keep my eyes closed and have Harry keep tapping my shoulder.  I won't be able to be like this with him again.  He's so warm.  Really I could stay here and be satisfied with life.

But then I open my brown eyes.

I almost jump back at how close Harry's face is.  He chuckles slightly at my reaction and rubs his toe against mine.  Did we fall asleep like this?  I can't remember since it was so late.

"C'mon you two." Chelle groans and pulls Harry up.

That was impressive, that Chelle could pull him up.  Harry's not small or anything.   I watch Harry stretch as I stay under the warm blankets.  His messy hair looks too cute in the mornings.  I try to hold in a laugh when he shakes his hair out and swipes it to the side.  Never mind about morning hair.

"Harry get your arse back to your room." Chelle continues to yell.

"Alright alright!" He yells, then mouths to me, "See you later."

I smile widely and want to find out what's going on in life.  A couple people were in here before but I'm not sure where they are now.

"I just had to get Harry out because you need to get him a boutonniere.  They're selling them in the cafe!" Chelle grabs my hand to pull me out.

"Wha?  What's that?"

I truly have no clue what she's talking about.

"Oh god." She bites her tongue, "You haven't been to a dance, have you?"

I shake my head.  Well this is embarrassing.  This is my first dance then!  I was never asked to one before...

"Okay.  The girl gets her date a boutonniere.  It's like a little flower thingy ma jig.  And the guy gets the girl a corsage, it's easy I swear." She explains.

"Oh!  Got it." I grin.

This will be cute.  Watch Harry not even know he has to get me one of these things.  He's probably been to many dances though... I wonder who he's asked in the past years.  Maybe I don't want to know.

We walk in our pajamas to the cafe.  Pretty cool, eh?  Chelle was speed walking though.  I could barely keep up with her.  She seems so rushed, my goodness.  There's a little table with plastic boxes and a line of girls.  Another table has a line of guys.  I guess you have to do it this way since were in a boarding school.  Having dances is difficult with not having stores or a mall close by.  The boarding school is all we have.

"Sorry, I just get really stressed for dances and want to have enough time to do my hair." Chelle tells me as we wait in line.

"You will...it's just past noon." I chuckle.

When Chelle gives me a pouty look I add, "You're gonna look great, okay."

"What if Brett ends up not liking my fucking dress."

"Chelle, are you actually telling me this.  I feel like I would say something like that." I laugh.

"God, you're right...OP." She stops once were at the table.

I watch as she looks at the little boxes.  They all look really nice.  I recognize them.  I've seen them on guy's suits in pictures or movies...I don't know.  I'm not that behind in life.  Chelle reaches for a pinkish-white boutonniere and hands the girl her money.  The girl stares at me and I freak.  Shit, c'mon I need to be able to pick out the right one lady!

Unsure, I just grab a red one and pay.  It's matches my dress at least.  I walk away quickly and see Chelle laughing at me by the door.

"You're so awkward." She jokes.

"Shut up!" I blush...I am though.

"What one did you grab?  It better not be ugly...or else Harry will be mad."

I showed her the boutonniere and she smiled widely.

"Ooooo!  That's really pretty, nevermind." Chelle inspects it, "I was kiddin' about the Harry thing, but he'll like this.  Especially since it's from you."

"What?" I push farther.

If Harry's told her things about me, I want to know.  God, I'm a curious chick.

"Nevermind..." Chelle says and starts speed walking again.

I actually am not in a rush at all.  First of all, I never take too long to get ready for big events.  Second, I feel like it's not worth all the getting ready since I don't feel that pretty.  Third, I am thoroughly enjoying every second being here.  Even if it's rushing around. Yay rushing around, woohoo!

We end up in Eleanor's room and Chelle babbles to her about makeup.  I sit on El's bed and pull out my phone.  Harry has already sent me a text...  Aw.

"Whaaat color is ur dress .x -H"

"Red:) xxx -G" I reply.

"Are you ready to see all our hotties in suits?" Eleanor asks me.

"What.." I look up and blush, "Oh, yeah."

I swear I say 'what' so much after I get asked a question.  Then I remember what they say two seconds later!

"Hell yeah." Chelle winks, "And that's all you'll need El.  I can help you later if you need it."

"Thanks girl!" Eleanor's sweet voice replies.

I will miss all my best friend's accents for sure.  I'm guessing El just needed to ask Chelle about something quick because we headed out.  I wanted to take a shower soon so my hair would have enough time to dry.  God and I need to shave really good.  What the hell am I even going to do with my hair?  Cross my fingers my friends will have a perfect idea.

Chelle read my mind i guess.  She told me she wanted to take a shower too.  And that's where we went.

As I was showering something came to me.  I can write a letter.

Every second I want to thank everyone that has made a difference in my life.  I can write them all a letter...that way they can keep it.  Hold it.  Read each word carefully.  And understand what I'm saying.

"Hey Chelle..um..I need to go talk to someone." I lie.

"Okie dokie!" She yells back from her shower.

I just need to get dressed, head to Niall and my hall, with papers and a pen.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"red dress.. yeah?  Thaat will look good on you;) .x -H"
"Gracie!!  Get off your damn phone!!  How are you not freaking out?" Chelle yelled with a curler in her hair.
I quickly turn off my phone, not wanting anyone to see his flirty text.  I wish he wouldn't have sent that.  It's only making me more nervous.  I have to look good...I guess now you can say I'm freaking out.  I'm just not showing it.
"I'm almost done Gracie, I can do your hair next!" Eleanor mumbled, also doing her hair.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" I exclaim.
If I would do my own, it'd be disappointing.  My dress is laid out on the bed.  I stare at it and hold my nails close to it.  An hour or so ago I painted all my nails black.  I thought it'd easily match the dress and black pumps.
Eleanor keeps making perfect ringlets with her curling wand.  After her last one, she ties it up with a fancy hairband.  I gape at her.  How does she even do that?  It looks so fancy and it seemed like she barely even tried.  Chelle keeps re-doing her hair and groaning.
"I liked it down." I comment.
"You sure?" She sighs and lets go of her curls.
I nod and Eleanor helps adjust it.  Her hair isn't in big curls.  Just light, wavy and perfect for her.  Plus I know she likes to dance and it wouldn't be hard with her hair like that.  Eleanor pulls a chair out in front of the mirror.
"Your turn." She points for me to sit down.
A sigh escapes my lips and I bring all my hair behind my back.  I wonder what this outcome will be...but I know El can do something at least.  She quickly starts by brushing and arranging my hair.  I don't know what she's doing but I think she's curling some pieces in the back.
Chelle turns up her favorite music by Lana Del Rey.  I start to hum to the music as Eleanor works on my hair.  Soon, she has it tied up like hers.  But it is much looser.  She turns me around and pulls two pieces of hair on the sides of my face.  Carefully, she uses her curling wand to style them into loose curls.
"Now that looks bloody amazing." Chelle winks.
I turn to look at myself in the mirror.  The two pieces in front made a big difference.  It made me like it a lot.  I smiled at how different it looked.  I don't usually wear my hair like this.  I barely even curl it!
"I love it..." I say to Eleanor.
"Me too, so wallah!" She wiggles her fingers around.
"Thanks." I give her a side hug, careful not to ruin thee masterpiece.
Hair, check.  I realize Chelle is doing her makeup...and the mirror is puny...so I should do something else instead.  I walk over to the bed where my dress is.  Time to finally put it on.  It better not be really small and tight.  What if I was just in a random yolo mood at the mall?  Shit, shit, shitty shit.
In a corner, I strip down and unzip the back of the dress.  I step into it and pull it all the way on.  Holding it close to my chest, I shuffle over to Eleanor.  She helps zip it up for me.
"Yeah Gracie!" She cheers.
Quickly, I get in front of the mirror and do a little dance in it.  Okay maybe it's really cute.  I bet if one of my friends wore it, it'd look so much better.  I don't see myself as a dress person.  But the actual dress is super fun.  My black nails do look really good with it.
"I'm doing your makeup by the way." Chelle randomly turns to me.
"You guys are doing everything...are you sure?" I ask.
I want her to do mine so badly though.
"It's the least I can do, cos ....you know." Chelle shrugs.
She's referring to the fact I'm moving.  I guess she's right.  Oh god...I'm not going to think about that though.  I will have the best time tonight and do what I got to do after that.  And give them the letters.  They were so hard to write.  I'm glad I got it over with.
Chelle knows I truly want her to do my makeup.  She doesn't wait for me to reply before she starts picking out what she's going to use.  When I see red lipstick my eyes widen.
"Just trust me on this..." Chelle chuckles.
