I heard people crying. I slowly opened my eyes. I saw my mother, my grandmother, aunt Riley, David and Christian. The first thing I thought was 'Where am I'?

I sat up. My mother gasped and hugged me she was crying. So was my grandmother and Riley. I looked around. I was in a hospital. What happened? The last thing I remember was the earthquake and Joey reaching for my hand. Then, it all went black. I was scared.

There was a knock on the door. A doctor came in he smiled as he saw me sitting up. "Good your awake" he walked over toward me "While you were asleep we checked on your baby" my heart dropped what was he going tell me about my child? My eyes started to tear up "Now, miss Camarena, there are no need for tears. Your baby if fine" I sighed of relief. "And we know the gender. Would you like to find out"? He asked flipping over a paper on his clipboard. I nodded. Then I realized Joey wasn't here. "Wait" I said kinda loud, everyone looked at me. "Where's Joey"? I asked my mother looked at the ground.
