I cried in my pillow until there was a knock at the door. I sat up and wiped my tears away. It was grandmother she opened the door and closed it behind her. She walked over to the bed and sat down next to me. It was kinda weird because she didn't say anything while she walked in.

But then she spoke "You know why your mother said what she did"? I knew why she wanted to take me away from everything I had every wanted in my life. But instead of saying that I shook me head no. "She wanted to protect you. I know you that whoever this fiancée of yours is nice and sweet to you. But your mother got engaged to your father when she was 17 and she had you then your brothers and ... well, things went down hill and she doesn't that to happen to you" I sat there with my knees to my chest listing I knew all this that things got bad between my mom and dad, but I love Joey and he loves me he wouldn't try to hurt me. Would he? No, no he wouldn't. "Meghan what I'm trying to say is that your mother was just trying to protect you because she loves you and she doesn't want to see you get hurt. Do you understand"? I nodded. She sighed and patted my back and got up "Come on. I think someone wants to chat with you" I knew she meant my mother I sat there for a minute. I then got up and walked with her down the stairs.

We made it down stairs my mother was sitting on the couch. My brothers were playing a video game on their Xbox. Riley was cleaning the kitchen. My mom saw me and jumped up from the couch and hugged me. I heard her crying a little I hugged back. She pulled away and looked at me in the eyes "Meghan I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset" she said to me with tears coming down her cheek. I signed and nodded to her.
