A lucky guess

Cole looked around, landing on a walk light, he looked at the cars that drove by, he tilted his head to one side, before bringing it back up. His head was spinning, and he was still puffed up, as well as many others, he saw an apartment nearby, he opened his wings, before gliding down to the concrete below, he looked back up at it, and opened his wings up again, flying towards the building, he looked into one of the windows, and saw what looked like a Jack Russell Terrier, it had a blue collar, and a gold tag. Next to the Terrier was a Mongrel, it looked bigger than an average Mongrel, well, what Cole had heard of. He looked to the apartment beside it, a Pomeranian sat at the window, probably haven't spotted him, or they just didn't care. He tilted his head again, "so many dogs," He mumbled.

He flew down a few more apartment complexes, before landing at one. Cole found a grey tabby cat, who looked to be clawing at a vase, he froze as the cat spotted him. The grey tabby jumped from the wardrobe she was on top of, he shook now, his wings locked up. The tabby walked to the window, he saw it was opened, so Cole panicked. He jumped onto the railing of the, What looked like, a fence, but he wouldn't know. The tabby tilted her head, and with a twitch of an ear, and Cole was off, he flew off, before falling to the ground again. He chirped, not loud, 'did I just break something?' He tried flying, he flew for a good second, before his left wing failed him. He hit the ground with a 'crack' he chirped again, louder this time. The Pomeranian he had seen earlier had appeared, higher that the tabby's apartment. She was looking down onto him, he stood up, and shook, his feathers puffed up, he shook for a few more moments, before looking up to the Pomeranian, he huffed, and looked around for an escape away from sight, but before he knew it, he saw a hawk heading straight for him.

He shrieked, but before he could move, the hawk caught him in his claws, the hawk looked at the tiny bird, Cole puffed up again, "What's this? And what are you doing here?" The hawk asked, Cole opened his beak, but nothing, "Tiberius!" The Pomeranian said from her apartment, she gave him a 'I disapprove of whatever your doing' look, it was funny to Cole, the hawk, named Tiberius he had learned, let go of the tiny bird. Cole spoke, "I-I don't.. know." Cole knew he had to explain now, "I was shipped here, from Korea, we we're supposed to be going to Florida, I heard. But a storm took us off course. If you remember any storms," the hawk's claws tapped the ground, well, one ofhis claws looked like it had been burnt, "Yeah, Yeah, there have been a few storms lately." Tiberius thought back. Cole looked back up to the Pomeranian, Tiberius saw he was probably curious. "That's Gidget." The hawk said simply, Cole acknowledged with a barely visible nod. The crow opened his broken wing, it was numb, yes, but it was better he couldn't feel any pain. He looked to Tiberius, then Gidget, and asked, "so where am I, New York? They said hats where we landed," Tiberius spoke, "you'd be correct."
