The Girls...
Isabella's P.o.v
"Who's she?" One of the girls suddenly raised questioningly, her eyebrows pulled down together in confusion.
"A new maid I guess," The other persumed, cutting me a bit off guard. I felt quite annoyed at her remark but I felt I shouldn't judge her so easily, afterall it was our first time meeting.
But, the looks on their faces were not welcoming at at all. I felt my heart thump as they stared at me, eyeing me from head to toe, making me feel like an average girl which I already know myself as. Damn, I never cared about things like this but I found myself doing so.
I followed their gaze and I too checked out myself again. I was wearing a white T-shirt that really looked cute to me, anda skinny blue jeans with a denim jacket tied around my waist.
What's wrong with my outfit? Why do they keep staring at me that way? I had thought quizzingly, glancing at my dressing once again.
I had to admit, they were both pretty, not a brunette like me. Their beautiful blonde hair was tied into a messy bun, but I could easily tell they had long hairs, mine was just too short for my liking.
To sum it up, both had beautiful blue piercing eyes, the taller girl, electric blue eyes while the other, sky blue eyes.
Eventually, I tore my gaze away getting tired of the awkard stare that suddenly emitted between us. They didn't look anything like their mother so I thought maybe they had the looks of their father instead.
I felt proud though. Glad I had such pretty faces to proclaim as cousins.
"Mum!" The former suddenly sheirked, stomping her foot on the marble floor.
Vivian looked up from her phone this time, feeling a bit disturbed. Or should I say agitated?
"What?" She snapped angrily and believe me, I was more than surprised by her actions that I had to question myself if they were really blood related or not.
"I asked you a question!" The girl exclaimed, stomping her foot again. Nope, they are not related, this could just be some misunderstanding.
"Can you stop being a big baby for once Amelia and talk to me like a normal human being okay, you're scaring your cousin." Vivian cried out instantly before forcing out a smile at me, probably trying to give me a good impression about her.
I noticed the confused looks on their faces, both were really surprised and full of curiosity.
"She's our cousin?" The same girl, Amelia retorted pointing her fingers towards my direction with not just a surprised look but most likely, an irritated one.
Okay, I was thought never to be so judgmental on people so I still had to assume it was all due to the fact we had just met.
"Yes, your cousin, how many times do I have to repeat that." Their mother snapped.
"But you never told us about her mum." The older one stated, crossing her arms questioningly. Trust me, she looked like she was going to break someone's head any time soon.
The least I could was shrug and keep thinking positively. I mean I was quite surprised Vivian didn't tell them about me or my arrival, since I always thought they knew. Well that explains the cold glare.
"My goodness girls! Enough with the questions already! Audrey, show Isabella to the guest room and Amelia get back to your room now!!!" Vivian ordered authoritatively. Her prominent demeanor showing how tired and fed up she had gotten with the girls.
Knowing their mother quite well, they gave up the argument immediately, well probably since Audrey, headed towards my direction to show me my room I guess; while Amelia continued stomping her foot all the way to her room 'like a big baby indeed' but not before shooting me a look I couldn't read.
I just got here and now I'm already on her bad side, just great. Me being me just simply shrugged again in response.
And no, Audrey didn't bother waiting for me actually. Instead she followed her sister consecutively making it halfway to the spiral staircase.
Without hesitation, I hurriedly followed behind her, trying my best to catch up with them as I took two to three steps at a time, making sure not to fall as I did. I was always fond of doing that anyway.
"The guest room is down there, the second door to the right." She thrilled as soon as we arrived to the second floor and walked off, leaving me alone to find my way.
Simply letting out a sigh, I followed her descriptions vividly and soon made my to the guestroom or should I say' Paradise'.
The guestroom was so huge probably the same size with the living room. The curtains and bed covers had the same color match, Black and Pink was the exact theme of the room. My favourite colours apparently.
There was a beautiful luxurious chandelier, hanging on the ceiling with glistening crystals dangling like daggers. But that wasn't what caught my attention at all.
Instead I grinned stupidly at the king sized bed ahead of me, a pleasuring sight indeed to behold. It was just so beautiful and huge and big and wide and...fluffy. I jumped on it like it was my only chance, immediately enjoying the softness, fluffiness, God, it was all like a dream come true.
My eyes continued to scroll at every expensive item in the room when my phone suddenly buzzed, driving me away from my dreamy world. And as expected, it was Mother.
"Hello sweetie! Are you there yet? Do you feel comfortable now? Have you eaten? How was the trip over there? You sure you don't need anything?" My way too worried mother continued her ramblings for over an hour, but seriously, I didn't find a reason for any one to be worried about in a situation like this. I'm in heaven for goodness sake.
"Mum, it's okay. I'm fine." I tried assuring her for the umpteenth time but this is Vanessa Moore we are talking about right?
Just like any other mother, of course, it's absolutely normal to feel worried or anxious about their children. But my own mother, the word way too 'overprotective' perfectly describes her and telling her to stop worrying about me is just like asking water to never get wet.
And yes, Sophia and I had a great deal in convincing her that I really needed to come over here. But all in all, she is the best, sweetest mother I could ever wish for and I'm so proud to have her as one.
"You sure honey? If you need anything, feel free to tell me about it dear?" She appealed again.
"Of course!" I simply ejaculated, dragging the words as I did but not before letting out a sigh.
"Have you met the twins honey?" My mother suddenly asked, knocking my socks off. Twins? I had no idea the girls were twins. They did look alike but not exactly identical so I could barely figure that out.
"Bella, are you still there sweetie?" In realization that I hadn't responded to her question earlier, I snapped out of my thoughts instantly.
"Uh...yes. The twins are okay mother, just a bit surprised about my appearance but I'm sure we'll get along sometime." I managed to reply, trying to sound a bit honest. Judging from the way they both reacted after seeing me today, I doubt my mother will be pleased if I told her the truth.
But before I could trail off into any further thinking, another call came in again, abruptly interrupting my thoughts once again.
"Okay, I have to go now mother! Have a good rest and please stop worrying about me."
"What? I'm your mother, of course I have to worry!" She protested in a 'duh tone' while I just rolled my eyes repeatedly at this. Yup, this is exactly my mother, Vanessa.
"Mum!"
"Alright, fine. Goodnight sweetie, mom loves you!"
"Bella loves you more."
I picked up the call of my wacko bestie and immediately, we both initiated into two long hours of a bull session.
Just like she requested, I made sure I revealed to her every single detail about the house and most especially, the beautiful city which apparently happens to be her childhood home before coming over to Texas to live with Tessa, her grandmother.
Even had to snap a few pictures for the typical crazy girl and believe me, they are surely going to hit social media in the next mini second.
After a few hours of beating our gums loquaciously mostly about trivial and meaningless talks, due to kind of person I'm speaking with actually, Sophia finally raised a prominent question, suddenly hitting a bullet.
"So which school are you going to?"
* * * * * *
"Isabella here will be attending the same school with you girls!" Vivian suddenly stated, dropping a bombshell on us all as we all stared unexpectedly at her after the sudden remark. I drastically paused from devouring another innocent meatball with my mouth still wide open.
"What?" Amelia practically exclaimed, literally dumbstruck at the sudden outburst.
"Let me get this straight..." She started.
"You mean her,' she pointed her fingers towards me in indication, "gets to go with us," she continued, "to our school?"
Immediately she uttered those words, the whole dinning suddenly became tranquiled as they watched me swallow long strands of spaghetti noisily with a fork, the whole sauce on the fit-for-a-king dish eventually hovering all over my face.
They didn't proceed further with any discussion till I was done taking a long gulp of orange juice and wiping my greasy stew infected lips with a tissue.
"You saw what she did mother." Amelia pointed her hands at me again accusingly. As expected, she looked more annoyed than ever at my sudden disgusting act.
Either way, I continued eating not a bit bothered if she'd throw a tantrum at the little interruption I made.
"That's it!" Smashing of fists suddenly ensued and a fresh rage vibrated through her being. Trust me, she totally looked like a bear with sore head.
"What is she even doing here?" Amelia snarled angrily, not doing a very good job hiding her emotions. She literally looked like she was going to pick up a fight with me or worse from the angry looks she shot me. Inwardly, I knew she was seething and simmering in anger, but, I wouldn't care any less no matter how much of a tumor she'd resent.
"Lia!" Vivian exclaimed instantly, refraining her daughter from sprouting out any angry tendencies or letting out her anger on me. She was indeed very much agitated at the sudden tension going on between her daughter and I, but despite it all, I could still feel her icy cold glare shooting daggers at me.
"Isabella is just going to be here for the mean time so be nice to her okay." She continued giving me the usual forceful smile.
I felt a bit glad I didn't have to face this twins alone especially Amelia. Audrey didn't even bother looking at me at all. As a matter of fact, she treated me like I was kind of 'invisible' to her. Gosh, they are exactly sets of frustrating human beings.
"The question is why is she here?" She snapped again almost in the edge of irritation towards her mother's inoperable replies. Okay, this gal got anger issues!
"I believe I am not speaking German young lady. I clearly said no questions, she's only going to be staying here for a few months and that's all you need to know." Her mother recolied again and I really hoped that was enough to shut her too hell of a big mouth up for once, she's being too much already.
"A few months? You're kidding me right?"
"Anyway, due to a very important board meeting that will be commencing tomorrow in my company, I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to accompany you Isabella, but I'm pretty sure Audrey would help you out with that," She continually rambled, totally ignoring her daughter's remarks who by the way didn't seem to give up her tirade.
"Hello? I hope you all know I do not agree to any of this." She spatted out the words in utter annoyance but as usual, Vivian ignored.
"I already made all the arrangements for your new school and explained the situation to your principal, 'I continually nodded my head in response each time she made out few talks or statements, "....so, of course, resuming your school is just going be a piece of cake. It's all settled." She finally finished, taking a little sip from the wine in front her.
All of a sudden, a loud bang collided with an angry looking Amelia who was completely immobilized with fury. A wave of rage crashed through her, showing how roused she was as she completely took us out of the blue.
"Listen to me Mother!" She growled with gritted teeth towering over me as she did, a supposed threat to make me scared of my own shadows. Well, bring it on sister!
"I don't care about whatever 'fatuous' so-called plans you have for this thing over here, but as far as I'm concerned, she is not stepping an inch to my school on any accord. And I mean every single word!"
The whole table suddenly grew silent. As a matter of fact, they didn't look a bit bothered at her empty threats, not Audrey, not Vivian but I was.
