Yu blinked as his surroundings came into focus.
He was in the velvet room (but wouldn't it B the velvet car since, ya know, it's a car...)
Margret nodded to him as he looked her way before shifting his focus to Igor, who wore his signature grin.

"What do you want."

Yu said, as irritation laced his words.
Margret looked at the silver haired male with surprise as her calm demeanor faded away.

"I just brought you here to talk about the loss of one of your social links."

Yu clenched his fists, Turning his knuckles white.

"He was more than just a social link....."

Standing up, He could feel the rage coming at him like an avalanche.

"he was my partner! My best friend! Someone who entrusted their life to me!"

His hands were flying all over the place at this point, years of regret for everything leading up to this moment was barreling out of him as tears rolled down his face.

"and.......... I let them down. I....... let him down"

putting his face in his hands, he sat back down.
Igor was silent for a moment, as if thinking about what to say.
It was a long while before he spoke.

"I understand that he was important to you, and he harbored one of your most powerful social links."

Yu looked up in confusion as Igor continued.

"If you are up to it, there is something I can do."

"ANYTHING! PLEASE! Just bring him back to me....."

Yu Clasped his hands together and got on his knees, surprising the two residents of the velvet room.
Sighing, Igor signaled to Margret to get Yus attention. She did just that and explained everything to him.

"We will be able to bring the Magician back........ but there will be a price."

"What kind of price.....?"

Yu asked as he thought of what it might be.

"He..... he will forget everything when he wakes up. He will only know what we tell him and what you tell him, that is it."

Yu blinked as his tired mind registered what she was saying.

"Will there be a way for his memories to come back?"

"Yes, for each person he was close to, there will be an object or action that will restore the memory's of them. It will only register if He is there to witness it first hand."

Yu nodded along as everything came together in his mind.

"I understand. Is there anything else I would need to know about."

"Yes. He will start out as something like me, but with every memory he regains. he will become more human."

Smiling, Yu was about to thank her when his vision blurred and everything became distorted. The last thing he herd was,

"We will call you back here when he has arrived"

Yu smiles at the thought of seeing his partner again. Going to Junes, eating beef bowls, hanging out at the river..... everything they did before........ just like that the happiness was gone, and the only thing he could see was Youskes lifeless body pearced with spikes.

The human mind is a wonderfully interesting thing. one time during math class, the teacher said something that reminded me of Frozen, and the ice in Frozen made me think about something that happened in the Spirit Animals book series, witch made me think of a gorilla, that made me think of that one retro game with the fighting monster humans, that made me think of how my family lit a flying lantern at a place that had that arcade machine, and so on and so forth
Anyway
I'll try to continue this since I've had writers block for the past year.
