Assigning everyone pokemon until my meds kick in

If you're questioning the title just know that I'm writing this at 12:26 at night waiting until my sleep medicine kicks in, and I need to do something to get some of this brain garbage out of my head. I'll publish this when I feel tired and then complete the rest of the cast later.

Let me start this off by saying I LOVE Pokémon. There's weird super powered creature for everyone in the franchise, whether your favorite is a classic like Eevee, a basic easy pick to get the kids off your back like Pikachu, an overrated one like Charizard (don't even come at me on this one) or you just like the random in-between Pokémon who come and go with every region like Purrloin (Anyone? Does anyone remember this Pokémon? It's my favorite one please—)

So naturally if there's a Pokémon for every person IRL, there should be one for the different TWST characters right?

Right!

So I'm going to assign every character a partner Pokémon, explain my thought process behind it, but I'm not going to stop there. I'm going to make every dorm leader a gym leader and give them a TEAM of Pokémon.

And who's going to stop me?

No one.

Now let's get started

HEARTSLABYUL— The Grass Type gym!

Ace Trappola will have: Hawlucha!
(NOTE: The gym type will only affect the LEADER'S Pokémon, not the members)
     • Ace is known for using wind magic, so naturally I had to pick a flying type Pokémon. Unfortunately, that meant I mostly had different birds to pick from. But Hawlucha is a fighting flying type with a design that sets it apart from most of the other bird Pokémon. It's bright red, styled like a wrestler, and is a rather lonesome Pokémon that prefers to be alone despite being a show off. Now, who does that sound like in the prologue? Ace.

    • I like to think that Hawlucha was the first Pokémon Ace ever caught. Picture this: Ace, young and bright eyed, a stupid little kid in his prime. He runs into the tall grass with nothing but a stick in his hand and a bag of pokéballs he stole from his brother's room in the other. He goes around poking and prodding different Pokémon with his stick, chucking pokeballs at every Pokémon he sees in hopes of catching something cool, only for them all to run away and/or break free.

    • And then, when he sits by a tall tree to catch a break, a certain red cretin sees the very person that was causing a ruckus around the area. And so naturally, like any Pokémon does in the games when it sees a defenseless child in the middle of the wilderness without their parents, it jumps down from the tree and lands a blow to the head.

    • Ace, naturally, is pained and tries to fight the Hawlucha. It's a brutal match (not really but let's pretend here for baby Ace's ego) that leaves them both banged up and passed out on the grassy floor, exhausted and sweaty. But then Ace laughs, finding that he actually enjoyed himself, and the Hawlucha who beat the fuck out of this tyke? It laughs with him, seeing that this is just an ugly unruly child and not a threat.

    • And so Ace catches the Hawlucha, brings it home, and gets his ass whooped by his parents for stealing his brother's pokeballs and also bringing a random Hawlucha into the house.

Deuce Spade will have: Riolu AND Primeape!
•Primeape was with Deuce during his days as a delinquent. It's the perfect fit for obvious reasons (for those who aren't familiar with Pokémon, Primeape is VERY AGGRESSIVE and strong) and Deuce mentions having his hair bleached back then, which matches with Primeape!

•However, when he hears his mother crying about him and his delinquent mannerisms, he sits down with his Primeape and tells them that they need to turn over a new leaf, and thus they both begin to train and practice until they get accepted into NRC!

•Before he leaves, Deuce's mom gives him an egg. She explains that it's close to hatching, and that she was originally worried about it finding a good home, but now? She thinks Deuce will be a good fit for it since he's changed so much. And by the power of plot convenience, the egg hatches and Riolu is welcomed into the world!

•Deuce puts his heart and soul into raising Riolu and his Primeape does the same. For an aggressive Pokémon, it's very gentle around Riolu, recognizing that it's a baby and needs love and care.

•Primeapes and Hawluchas often fight according to Pokémon SV, so Primeape will throw hands with Ace's Hawlucha frequently. They could be greeting the pope himself and these two will still fight, but the MINUTE Riolu enters the room, Primeape will stop so it won't set a bad example (and so Deuce won't get mad).

Trey Clover will have: Alcremie!
    • It was a tie between Alcremie and Slurpuff for me. But Alcremie is shown in the series to aid in making desserts, and it evolves from Milcery AND its appearance will depend on what kind of pastry they're given. Trey's is the Clover Carmel Swirl variety (get it? Because Trey Clover? I'll shut up now—)

    • Trey's family has dozens of Milcery's to help run the bakery. Trey had one of his own, but was never sure what variety he wanted so he just decided to leave it up to his Milcery to decide for itself.

    • Well, one day Milcery picked up a clover pastry during the day. It was so excited that it began to spin around clockwise for over five seconds (yes I am being exact but that's because this is how you get this specific variety), and when it was done there was the usual flash of light, upbeat music, sudden narration— I mean what? And then it evolved!
