Welcome listeners, to the second act of tonight's broadcast. And tonight we have a special treat. The one and only Ellen Rose, star of the stage, is here in our very own studio to perform the lead role in of our 2nd act. Welcome Miss Rose, we're big fans here at The New Albion Radio Hour.

So who will you be playing for us this evening?

"Well, as soon as I get in character, I'll be playing Lauren, a young attendee of New Albion's high society soirees, who has a secret agenda of her own."

Well, while Ellen gets in character, why don't you let me, Mike Channell and the Diselpunk Orchestra tell you a bit about her character. Here, on the new Albion Radio. 

This character is a thief. A young woman who finds the high class rules of upper New Albion insane, but just smiles and deals with it. In her own special way. By thieving. 

When she was young, her mother died. She cried at her mother's grave daily, and even after her pain faded, she still lit a flame every Sunday at the shrine. Since then, she had been staying with her aunt, a fairly wealthy woman, and lived in a refined and stately world. 

But why would she choose to be a thief is she already had this money? It wasn't for her; it was for the ladies of New Albion. See, the laws of upper class New Albion state that if you are female and divorced, you have no right to adhere. Your money, children, and home are for him to decide. Ladies in the upper class jut drink their tea, afraid of being tossed aside for a younger model. 

Our young thief has seen this happen up close. A good family friend, a 50 year old woman, had her husband cheat on her, leading to a divorce. The laws made it possible for her husband to take everything. The woman died soon after. 

So our young thief decided to make a name for herself. Amongst the ladies of New Albion's upper class, the rumor of a thief that only works for women circulates. Should your husband choose to cast you aside with no warning, the thief can supposedly save you by stealing the little nest's egg he denied. 

But for the time being, she's found something else. A friend. A young man named Luke, who bumped into her during a robbery and managed to get her out of more than a few tight situations. Sharing her ideals about the upper class's divorce laws, he pledged to assist her with any robbery, as they plan to leave New Albion for good.
