Ellen - The Substation

And so, Jane showed Ellen around the world that Jane was the high priestess of. She showed her the world of the Voodoopunks and a bit of the history of them; going all the way back to one of the first high priestesses, Cristina, who had actually killed herself in order to be one with the dead. Her boyfriend Nate apparently sensationalized her death to gain political power, but those stories have been lost to time. '

Jane eventually notices how tired Ellen has become, and asks a voodoopunk to take Ellen to a substation; a key facility in ending the war. When she gets there, she and the man who took her there meet with another man, an inside force in the soldier's ranks. At last, Ellen can drop off the device that has caused her so much trouble.

Ellen places the device in the man's hands and steps back. "There. I've brought you your stupid MCG. Do whatever you want with it - I just want this thing as far away as it can get. I've had a really hellish day, I've lost my whole life, and honestly, I just want to disappear right now. I-"

Suddenly, a loud bang rings out as the door collapses. An abomination of a man, a super solider, comes in through the door. Horrified, Ellen screams. The solider points his gun at her, but stops. He lowers it, singing a familiar tune.

"Past the world, past the night, past the stars where seabirds fly, past your dreams to toyland's shore, where we will meet again once more..."

Ellen calms down and looks the man in the eye. "Daddy?"
