Closing
Although Andy Outsider died on Crier's Blvd that night, he took all the city's forces with him. With that, every rebel in the city, including the Voodoopunks rose up and ran over a defenseless Parliament, but then turned on each other so now no government stands.
New Albion still stands, but broken. It's eight districts now function as independently as they can. In between each district are checkpoints, and each district eyes the others with suspicion, but for now, despite the tension, there is peace.
The Voodoopunks have risen again though, and though no one can tell if this is good or bad for New Albion, the only way the city can move past the destruction is to unite and rebuild, as the city can stand on separate pillars for so long before the Voodoopunks start to challenge the gods again.
On Crier's Blvd that night, some soldiers dropped their guns and walked away as soon as Ellen broke the spell over them. No one knows for sure where they went, but some say that they can hear voices from the mountains to the west.
As for Ellen and Luke, they fought to change the law regarding divorce of upper-class women. With help from Luke, Ellen managed to civilly challenge the law; by taking it to the courts with a briefcase and paperwork. Finally, one day, her hard work paid off. The law was changed. Ellen came out of the court that day with the sun and a smile on her face, jumping into the arms of her best friend. After that, no one knows quite where they went, but some say that they were last seen heading into the mountains to the west.
But to my dismay, Dear Listener, it is time for us to go for now. The future is always on it's way, and I have more stories to tell. I hope you enjoyed the story that I've told you all in this, the New Albion Radio Hour!
"Okay, we're off the air!"
"Alright, that was a good one! Good show! Someone thank the guys with McKnight cigarettes again, those guys have us in their pockets. And Ellen-"
*SMACK*
"WHAT WAS THAT, MIKE?!"
"What? Okay, so I totally turned the character into you, but can you blame me? You're very good-"
"No, Mike. No. I am DONE with your meta story-inside-a-story deal."
*Mic drop sound*
"Ellen! Come on!"
*Volume fading out* "I'm done!"
*Door slams*
"Alright, fine. This is what I get for trying to adapt an audio play to a book."
The End.
*A/N: And that's a wrap! I'm so happy for the very few people who read this, and I hope you enjoyed! Once again, this is based off of The New Albion Radio Hour by Paul Shapera, and I strongly recommend checking it out. It's amazing, and I love it to bits. Thanks for reading!*
