The sound of bowling balls crashing into the pins did nothing to help Lucy remain in her deep thoughts. She felt like a charity case; having Vanessa drag her out to bowling with her and Jack.

"What do you think he's doing right now," Lucy sighed.

Vanessa rolls her eyes. "Okay. One! Stop asking about him, you're the one that broke up with him. And two! He's probably in bed catching up on all the Netflix shows he never watched because he was busy with you! Now if you'll please...Snapchat me while I make this strike."

"If you even get that lucky," Gilinsky joked.

"You shut up." Vanessa gave Jack a quick kiss before rolling the ball, only knocking down 4 pins.

"Should I delete that video," Lucy asked.

"Whatever." Vanessa snatched the phone from her.

"Maybe it was a mistake that I asked for a break."

"I think it was a good idea," Gilinsky weighed in. "Honestly, you needed a break. I would need one too if I found out the one I loved was doing drugs behind my back. Not to mention that shit with your parents? Psh, I need more than a break, I--"

"What shit with my parents?"

"You know, the thing with the pictures being sent to them. The pictures that were--"

"Yeah I know which pictures," Lucy interrupted again. "I'm curious as to how you know about that, I never told...anyone. Wait...Jack? Were you...involved in this?"

"Wh- no! Hell no, you know I wouldn't do that to you!"

"Then how?" Both Lucy and Vanessa folded their arms as they looked at him.

"M-Madison told me. The day we were all at the mall and I went to get chicken samples, I bumped into her while you two were talking and she mentioned that. She asked how you were doing."

"It didn't come off a bit odd that Madison gave a shit about how Lucy was doing?" Vanessa held her hands up in confusion.

"I didn't really process that until now."

"Oh my goodness," Lucy exhaled. "Well, I think that tells me who did it. And it makes so much sense. But...I'm beginning to think she didn't act alone. Because who gave her the key into school?"

. . . . .

Tiffany is on lunch break at her job and using the time to try and study for finals. But she seems restless. Thomas has been so busy lately that she's barely seen him nor had time to talk to him and catch up. There was only one thing bugging her and didn't have anything to do with her Statistics final. She had bottled up emotions and she was ready to shout them all into Thomas's ear.

Later on, after she clocks out of work, she decides to go to Thomas's office since he's still in. She walks in without knocking but notices he already has company. Another woman, named Isabelle, was going over a contract with him but in the most unprofessional way possible. She was seated on his desk while giving off all the flirtatious mannerisms & giggling.

"Hey Tiffany," Thomas spoke innocently. "We were just finishing up these fine prints in the contracts. Have a seat, it'll only be another minute."

Tiffany nodded, uncomfortably taking a seat while being subjected to Isabelle's nauseating laugh. A moment later, Isabelle finally left and Tiffany got up to close the door and leans against it. She took a deep breath while looking at the collector items on his desk.

"Is everything okay," he asked.

"Yes and no. It's just...I missed you. And I'm sorry, not sorry. I'm not sorry if this crosses a line and I'm sure I sound like a dumb little girl but I'm not trying to. I know you said to wait and that's all I've been doing. I'm crazy about you, Thomas. You're funny and sweet and I don't give a damn about our age difference, I don't care who knows!"

Tiffany approaches him and kneels next to his chair.

"I wanna be with you. I wanna go on dates and learn more about each other. I'm totally going for it right now and I need you to say something."

"What do you want me to say," Thomas spoke. "I told you not right now. I told you not until you graduated...then we could see where it goes from there. I need you to be reasonable about this, Tiffany. All this flirting we've been doing, it's not appropriate. And I take fully responsibility for it getting this far. I apologize. At the end of the day, this is a business. A place of work. When I hired you, I expected you to be an adult, as you keep mentioning you are, and separate work life from social life. And I must say, I'm a little disappointed."

She glared at him in disbelief, wishing he would drop his rules and morals. But she knew that was important to him and didn't want to question it again after tonight. After a moment of quiet, he takes her by surprise, grabbing her shoulders and kissing her. Afterwards, a surprised Tiffany smiles and leaves his office without saying another word.

She happily prances back to her desk to grab her belongings, only to be approached by Isabelle.

"You're too young for him, honey," Isabelle scoffs.

"Excuse you?"

"I see what you're doing. It's what all you young girls do; prey on the rich older men. A gold-digger in training. But I can see right through you."

"That's funny," Tiffany grinned. "Because until Thomas got his movie deal a few days ago with the million dollar contract, you were never hanging around him & forcing your laughter like you were earlier. So if anyone is crystal clear like glass, it's you."

Tiffany pushes past her and Isabelle grabs her wrist.

"I've been at this for a long time so I'll make it even more clear for you, young grasshopper. Game on."

Tiffany snatches her wrist back. "I don't play games I've already won."

She flings her purse over her shoulder and walks out the building with all the confidence in the world.

. . . . .

"Make sure they vacuum it really good," Lucy told Ty as he dropped her off at school. He was taking her car to get the oil changed and the interior cleaned.

"I know, I know," Ty rolled his eyes. "Oh wait, before you go, I have a proposition for you."

"I'm listening."

"The last week of June, my boy invited me to his beach house in the Hamptons. I had to break it to him that I don't live on the East coast anymore but I'd try to make it out there. Plus I could visit my mom in Jersey. So I was wondering if you'd like to join me. I know you could use the vacation after all that's happened."

"True," Lucy squints. "But what's the catch?"

"Wh- no catch! No catch...well...okay, one little thing. Plane tickets."

"Plane tickets?"

"I know Dad has a lot of flyer miles and I was wondering if you could ask him to buy our tickets. Pretty please?"

"So I'm only invited because I got pull, huh?" Lucy bites back a smile.

"Only partially, only partially," Ty chuckled. "We need sibling time anyway."

Lucy takes a deep breath. "Okay, I'll ask him. No promises. But since I'm a daddy's girl, I should be fine."

"You're a saint, girl. I'll see you at 3. Good luck today."

"Thanks."

Lucy gets out and walks into school, realizing it's the last week of her grade school career. As she walks in, she passes by Kian. They both share a longing stare & Kian completely ignores Jc who was rambling about something. All Kian is able to do is nod at her & she nods back with a slight grin.

Once she gets to her locker, Cameron approaches her. She nearly freezes up.

"What did I do," Lucy spoke, breaking eye contact. "Did I break your heart again without knowing it?"

"I wanted to apologize for being a dick to you," he spoke, clenching onto his backpack strap. "I'm sorry I ignored you just because you only saw me as a friend, I'm sorry for spazzing on you at lunch, and...I'm sorry for what you're going through with Kian and everything."

Lucy closed her locker and finally looked at Cam.

"You really hurt me," she told him. "I thought we were friends."

"We were," he gulped. "We can be that again, with time. If you'll let me."

"I'd like that." Lucy pulled him in for a hug.

"So how is that all coming along by the way? Any leads on who did it?"

"Nah," Lucy lied. "Still nothing."

"Was there no surveillance? Did they check the IP address of the emails?"

Lucy felt like a thousand needles poked her entire body. She quickly knew that Cameron was a part of it as well, since the emails were again referenced but never publicized.

"Uh," she cleared her throat. "I don't know what the investigator is up to. But I assure you, if I find out before she does, oh boy. Those who did it will have no idea what kind of hurricane is gonna hit them."

She remembered how Cameron was one of the ones with a key. But since he was at work, his alibi checked out & she left it alone. Now she knows that he probably helped Madison & it was probably all out of anger, jealousy, and revenge. All that was left was a matter of proving it & doing something about it, with or without the help of the investigator.

. . . . .

"Yo, Ortega," John calls out, jogging to catch up to Nadia and Kali. Kali continues ahead while Nadia stops in her tracks. "I know I'm a little late but I wanted to tell you I fixed the typo on the graduation ceremony program and everything is getting printed today. We almost missed the cut off time."

"Cool," Nadia spoke nonchalantly.

"Someone's in high spirits today," he sarcastically said. "What's goin' on?"

"Just been in deep thought lately," she responded. "Ever since prom ended, it hit me that it'll all be over soon. We'll all be moving on in different directions. At the beginning of the year, I made this list and it had all the things I wanted to do before graduation. There was about 13 things and I only had done 2 of them. Plus, a lot were knocked off once we broke up. Last night, I went in my dad's office and I shredded the list."

"If you shredded it then it obviously means nothing to you anymore, right?"

"That's what I thought."

"I know you like to beat yourself up about everything you don't achieve correctly. That's just you. But a list is just a list. Your life isn't a list. Just, I don't know, go do shit. Live it up this summer."

"That's what makes it even funnier," Nadia scoffed. "I'm not doing shit this summer except going on vacation with my parents for a couple weeks in Paris."

John laughed and shook his head. "You know what I'm doing this summer?"

"What?"

"Gettin' high, hit up some concerts, and practically live in Mike Kiger's pool. That's it."

"That's it?"

"Simple life, baby. When you come back from boring ol' Paris, give me a call." He playfully pinched her cheek and continued down the hallway.

. . . . .

After 3rd period, Kian skipped the rest of his classes to go to the skate park and think. He had only skated a little bit before sitting down on the bench with his bottle of water.

"Hey you," he heard Mahogany say. "Never thought I'd see you again. You haven't been hanging around lately."

"Shit happens, I guess," he replied quietly.

"What's wrong?"

"What's not," he chuckled with sadness. "I'm just a loser that can never get it right. And my incompetence cost me my relationship with, shit, the best girl I've ever dated."

"That's pretty major. I mean, you're still young. There will be other girls, right?"

"Well, we're only on a break--"

Mahogany belted out with laughter. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. A break? You didn't really accept that, did you?"

"I mean, I don't like it but, I respect her decision. She said break, so...break."

"Right," Mahogany nodded. "Because those exist in this day & age."

"It's all I have left to hold on to."

"Oh don't be such a drama queen, dude! If it's meant to be, it'll be. If not...someone else will come along and you'll look back and forget why you ever felt the way you did. What happened to bring along this break anyway?"

"Just know I fucked up. Don't really wanna talk about it."

"Well then." Mahogany moved closer to him on the bench. "What do you wanna talk about? I'm here."

Kian looked at her, squinting his eyes a bit because of the sunlight. Then he shook his head. "Won't matter who's here anyway. I'm thinking of leaving here."

"Wh- for good? But..."

"I don't know yet. But the way you made it sound, I might not even have a reason to stay anyway. So why not?"
