SHELA

Shela had been on the phone with her son for a good while, when Ezra walked away from her she got worried, especially since she sensed something was wrong. Worriedly, she called her son after she finished buying herself some clothes and him some. It rang for a little before he finally answered the phone.

"Ezra! Oh thank God your okay!" Shela exclaimed.

"Mom? Why do you sound worried? You told me I could wander around by myself." Ezra asked.

"I know, its just.. where are you?"

"I'm by the fountain." Ezra responded.

"Okay good, stay there I'm coming to you." Shela said and hung up before grabbing her receipt and walked into the main mall. She searched for the fountain until she saw her son sitting and glancing at his cellphone, a sigh of relief brushed over her as she made her way over to him.

"Mom?" Ezra said and because of his expression, he probably knew that she was worried. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Shela responded. "Come on, let's get going." Ezra shrugged and walked away with her. Shela glanced briefly behind them and saw that the person giving readings was staring at her and she swore his eyes had changed color. Shaking her head, she turned back around and caught up with Ezra.

The two arrived back at the bunker, thankfully no one else but her, Ezra, and Sam were home and that was all she needed at the moment she couldn't think about everyone's needs or wants, right now she continued to have bad feelings all day, even when they stepped into the bunker something felt off.

"Hey guys," Sam said looking up from a book he was reading. "Did you have fun shopping?"

"Uncle Sam," Ezra said. "I would hardly call shopping fun, where's Aunt Kristina?"

"Visiting some old friends," Sam responded. "She wanted a break from all the hunting," Sam set the book down and noticed that Shela was worried about something. "Oh and Ezra, I think whatever you ordered came in today, it's on your bed."

"Hey Ezra, why don't you go to your room," Shela said. "Try on those clothes I bought you." Ezra groaned but Shela gave him the mom look where he quickly nodded and walked to his room. Once Ezra was out of sight, Shela turned back and started making her way to the kitchen.

"Shela?" Sam said. "Is something wrong?"

"No.." Shela lied. "What makes you say that?"

"Really? Because the look on your face says otherwise." Shela sighed and turned to look at Sam.

"Okay, so something is wrong," Shela said. "I don't know what it is, but whatever it is, I don't like it."

"It has something to do with a box doesn't it?"

"I don't know what it is, and what box?" Shela asked.

"Didn't Ezra order a box?"

"No, he would have told me, plus no one knows this address," Shela said. "Was anything engraved on the box?"

"I didn't get a good look at it but someone practically glued the thing shut like it didn't want to be opened," Sam explained. "Not to mention, there was old writing on it." Worried, Shela and Sam walked up the stairs to Ezra's room. Sam knocked on the door only to hear Ezra call back.

"I'm coming!" Ezra said and opened the door, while Shela didn't want to assume anything, she glanced over at his bed and saw the old box sitting there. The paint was peeling off, and the wood was practically splintering. "What is this?"

"I don't know mom, but I swear I did not order it." Even though Shela knew what it was, she glanced at her son nervous.

"You didn't open it did you?" Sam asked. Ezra simply shook his head, Shela nodded and grabbed the box from the bed.

"What are you doing with it?" Ezra asked.

"We're locking it away," Shela answered. "I'm going to make lunch whenever your ready to come downstairs." Without giving Ezra time to say anything, Shela and Sam walked back downstairs and made their way toward a safe which held different haunted and cursed objects. She had the men of letters to thank for that, they built the safe with pure iron so nothing could come through it or even manifest. Sam unlocked the large safe, and together they placed the box in the center of the room. Making sure that everything was still locked up, Shela and Sam walked out of the safe and closed it behind them.

"Shell, that writing, I think it's in Hebrew." Sam said as they walked away from the safe.

"If it's in Hebrew, why would Ezra even order that thing?" Shela said. "And I have a bad feeling about that box, I just can't put my finger on it, I know what it is but I can't exactly confirm my suspicions until I know more."

"What do you think it is?"

"I think it's a dybbuk box."

"That's impossible," Sam said going onto his laptop. "Dybbuk boxes can't be sold online, whoever buys something like that is stupid enough to get into trouble. Those things are malevolent entities, why would anyone want to bring it here? Does Ezra even know what a dybbuk is?" Shela shook her head.

"No, he's never even heard of it before."

"Did you notice anything strange while you were at the mall?" Shela thought long and hard for a while but pushed the exact thought aside.

"I guess you could be right," Shela said. "But we should probably be careful in case something happens, whatever it is and whomever brought it here, they knew what they were doing," Shela walked over to the fridge and opened it. "So what do you want to eat for lunch?"

"I don't know, you pick." Sam said as he continued to do research on the box that they received. A few moments later, Ezra entered the room and made his way over to the dining table. Shela had just finished making some fried rice and placed a plate of it in front of Ezra and another in front of Sam. The three started eating and talking about things and plans they were going to do, but Shela's mind could not wander away from what that box stood for.
