It's been a month since Hiro became determined to join SFIT. Today is the day your mom visits. Today is the showcase. You walk out to the garage and check on Hiro.

You see him sitting in his computer chair and asleep on the keyboard. His right hand holding a pencil and left resting on a wide ruled notebook, but what you mainly saw was the perfect opportunity to pounce on him like a puma! You tiptoe quietly towards him.

Maybe I shouldn't... yeah of course I should, you thought

"Oh Hiro." You sing.

You see no movement. You take his chair and push it over towards the driveway, then look both ways. The drive way isn't very steep, but there's a bump by the sidewalk that should wake him up. You ready your hands and then push!

You turn the chair so that it faces you the entire time and when You push the chair, his eyes grow larger than they should be. He grips onto the bottom of the chair and holds on for dear life. Once he finally sees the smirk on your face, he shouts, "(Y/N)!"

You form your hands into the shape of a heart right as he hits the bump and goes flying out of the chair. You run over to him, laughing your head off

"You okay, Hiro?" Unable to stop laughing.

No response.

"Hiro?" You beg, "This isn't funny." You gently tap his head. Uh oh. He did knock his head.

Suddenly, you see his eyelids flitter open. "(Y-Y/N)? Is that you?"

You don't answer his question. Instead you punch his shoulder. "You idiot!" You remark.

"Hey, you're the one who pushed me into the street."

You take his hand and pull him and yourself up.

"Gah, I knocked my head really hard."

"Aww. The little baby. Do you need me to kiss it to make it feel better?" You ask. Hiro nods his head rapidly and you take your lips and press them on his temple.

"All better." You announce. "Now come on, everyone is already at SFIT with your microbots. And we have to pick up my mom with Tadashi. So... race you back to Tadashi!" announcing rather loudly then immediately bolting away.

"Train one five nine from Bloomside has arrived." You hear. You jerk your head off of Hiro's shoulder and wait, searching for your mother's friendly face. Then, you see her. A tall figure with a navy blue polka dotted suitcase walks your way. You drop everything and dash to your mom. You wrap your arms tightly around her and absorbing her warmth.

"Gross." You look up, sniffing, "You smell like train."

You mom just simply rolls her eyes and smiles brightly at you, her pride and joy. You look back at Hiro and Tadashi as they stand there awkwardly just watching. You pull Hiro's hand and he pulls Tadashi's arm and force them into the hug. Wrapping one arm around Hiro's shoulder, he wraps one around you that lands right on the small of your back.

"(Y/N)? There's one last person here with us." You look up at her and see utter seriousness in her eyes.

"Who?" You ask, sternly. Dead serious and furious when you see your father walk up to your mom, put his arm around her, and kiss her cheek.

Something in you just snapped. You couldn't keep calm. After all, you had every right to be mad. You don't speak or gesture, but you do run. Run down the stairs, past the chairs, out the door, and outside.

"(Y/N)?!" You hear someone call.

You ignore. Continuing your state of anger and force that energy into your running, so you aim for SFIT.

"(Y/N), (Y/N) (L/N)."

You look at your new friends. Honey Lemon, Gogo Tomago, Wasabi, and Fred.

"Oh! You're (Y/N)! I've seen you before, in Tadashi's picture! Remember guys?" The blonde asks ecstatically. She perks up and smiles brightly. Honey Lemon was the only one you hadn't gotten the chance to speak to.

Picture? What picture?

The gang nods and smiles mischievously. Honey Lemon takes out her phone and shows a picture of Hiro and you snuggling. Your face grows hot and tints a bright crimson color.

You immediately change the subject and go to your comfort candy. "Do they have Candy Floss here?"

"Candy Floss?" Everyone asks except Honey Lemon. They all stare at you like you're crazy.

"It's basically Cotton Candy." Honey Lemon explains. "And no. I think there's a shop close to here that makes all sorts of candy. I think they might have 'Candy Floss'."

Your eyes light up as you demand them to take you to this shop.

Honey Lemon and you walk into a cute, pink, little, candy store. It's called "Muffy's Sweets Shoppe" and yes, they do have your prized Candy Floss. You're amazed by the flavours that appear before you. So many different colours. Eventually, you settle on blue raspberry. You walk out with a stupid grin on your face and arrive at SFIT with Candy Floss.

"Hello there, Candy Floss!" Fred exclaims.

"What is this, why is he calling me that?" You ask, confused. All your life, the only name you've gone by was (y/n)

"He nicknamed you. He gave one to all of us. I guess this means your part of our friendship group!" Honey Lemon squeals, squeezing the life out of you.

"Aw! Thanks! Is, um, Hiro part of the group?" You stutter.

Honey Lemon gasps dramatically, "You do like Hiro! Aw! Candy Floss, that's adorable!"

Your face turns a deep pink color and you avert your eyes. "No!" You blurt out, "I don't like Hiro!" You lie. It's not even a good one. A good lie would be saying you liked him as a friend and want to be in good graces with his. You've never really been that great at lying.

"You don't?" You hear behind you.

Crap.

You turn to see your parents, Tadashi, Aunt Cass, and Hiro.

"What is he doing here?" You ask pointing towards your father. You feel the anger creeping back.

"(Y/N), he has a right to be here. He's your father." Mother announces.

"Well, he's never acted like it! I don't care how cozy you are or were with my mom, leave me alone!" You stomp away.

Hiro got accepted. You watch as he grabs the acceptance letter from Callaghan and squeals in delight. You pull him into a hug and kiss his cheek.

"You did great." You whisper.

"Thanks." He replies, blushing.

When you two break apart from your embrace, everyone just stares at you.

"Excuse me." You excuse yourself and exit the awkwardness, instead making your way to the nearest restroom.

Right as you reach your destination, you smell smoke.

"Where's (Y/n)?!" Your mother shouts.

Everyone just shrugs their shoulders, but Tadashi and your mom run past the group.

You make you way out of the restroom and into the main room. Seeing Callaghan and Tadashi. Tadashi picks you up bridal style and runs to the exit.

He drops you onto the ground when the two of you make it outside. Tadashi mentions having to find Callaghan and then disappears. You stand up and run to the group.

"Where's my mom?" You ask. No one responds, they all just say how glad they are that you're okay and they reach out for you. "Where is my mother?" You ask in a more serious tone and suddenly everyone points to the burning Showcase building.

When you turn around to go back inside the building explodes, causing you to go flying backwards. All noises block out.

You slip in and out of your stupor only to see paramedics lifting you up onto a gurney and trying to speak to you. Your eyelids flutter closed and everything goes black.

Hiro couldn't leave you. When the paramedics came, he ran inside the ambulance car too. He just sits down beside you, combing through your hair. I can't lose you, too.

He finally let his sleepiness get the best of him when you were stable and resting in your room. He fell asleep on your hospital bed with his arm around your waist and head next to yours
