Chapter 16- Immortals
This book popped up in "Suggestions for You." when I was reading a Hiro x Reader
Hiro's wide eyes flutter open, slowly and then all at once. His eyes fixate on you. Your face shining with sweat, but to him you looked like the most beautiful girl in the world. The lights in the room are bright and flood the entire warehouse. You don't mind, and Hiro's eyes were slowly getting used to it.
"Why the hell are you here?" You ask forcefully.
"I'm here for you. Your dad has been taken by some people to program something that could potentially destroy all of the county."
"Where's my mom?"
"She died. So did Tadashi."
Tadashi. The name sounds so familiar as it echoes through your head.
"The one who asked me for help with coding." You spoke without emotion.
"Y-you remember?" Hiro mumbled, in awe as that was the second important thing you'd recalled.
"I... I need to rest. This is too much."
"Take all the time you need. Actually, do you want me to set a timer?"
"Yeah. Don't let me go over twenty minutes."
Hiro takes your phone, somehow knowing the passcode you've had for the past year, and sets a timer. "Were we friends?" You asks.
"Best friends."
"And, did we love each other?" You ask, quietly. Hiro had thought his answer carefully. The more he thought of how beautiful you are, the more sure he was.
"Yeah. I love you, and i'm pretty sure you loved me." He sighs.
After that statement, Hiro went back to staring at the timer. He's in awe when he sees your hand connect with his. At that exact moment, he realises he doesn't want to live another day like this. Without you being able to remember who he his, why he loves you, or the memories you've made. He just wants you back.
The fingers of his free hands find their way to your untamed hair and start to finger-comb their way through. He made it a game; the less knots you had in your hair the more you'll remember.
—you were running, faster than you could usually. This time, you had a reason. Your father had returned and you didn't like it at all. He had the nerve to kiss your mother in front of you. How dare he.—
Hiro saw you squirm in your place. She must be having a dream.
—you were straddling the back of Hiro, his hands wrapping perfectly around me your thighs.
"Do you think we'll be friends forever?" You asked.
"I hope so." He responded, as you hopped off his back and walked into SFIT together.—
The timer beeps and vibrates as your eyelids flutter. She's having a dream, I shouldn't wake her, Hiro thinks. He snoozes the alarm and lets you rest a little longer.
—what are you doing?! Kill him! The voice echoed through your empty mind. 'I can't. I don't want to hurt him! Please stop this!'—
When Hiro hears your voice, he realises you should wake up. After many gentle shakes, he gets worried. "(Y/N)?!" His voice booms through the house.
—DISPOSE OF HIM! The voice commanded you. Without a second thought, you opened your eyes.—
Hiro sees your eyes jerk open, "Thank goodness! I thought you we having some sort of dream-panic attack."
You stand up and start hitting him. You didn't know why, but you felt like the more you hit him, the less the voice would bug you. You scream out in frustration when he grabs you and carries you out of the room. You thrash your arms around, "Let me go!" You repeat.
Hiro refuses to let go. When you two get outside, you were astonished to see a big robot. He towers over you and Hiro yet looked very, loving.
"Baymax?" You say, unsure of how you know that name.
"You remember him?" Hiro mutters with a surprised tone.
"Tadashi asked me to help build him. He showed me blueprints." You remember.
—hurt him!
We need him alive you moron!
No! We can do this alone!—
"No! Stop it! Please!" You scream. You fall to the ground and clutch your hands over your ears, "Shut up! Please!" It hurts Hiro to see you in such immense pain. "Ouch! My ears!" You scream, when a a loud ringing plays through your ears.
"Hello, I am Baymax. Your personal, healthcare companion! I was alerted for the need of assistance when you said, 'ow!' On a scale on one to ten, how would you rate your pain?" The robot asks sweetly.
"It's a ten! My ears are ringing and they won't shut up!" You exclaim.
"I will scan you now." After a short pause he robot says, "Scan complete. There seems to be nothing wrong, but, (Y/N), I don't seem to remember you having a microchip in your ear. I will put that in your file."
"Wait wait wait no baymax don't. Microchip?" Hiro asks quietly. "Microchip!" He exclaims happily, it mimicks the happiness of finally finishing a puzzle. "(Y/N)! The voices! They are the ones that have your father!"
"They wiped my memory." You mutter.
"They took away your memories of me so you could only remember the for the bad things I did! This is very important, tell me what they've been saying."
"They, they want me to kill you."
"Oh god."
"You stay here, I'm gonna get the others and we'll go find your father."
"No, I'm coming with you."
"What? Why?"
"So I can punch the people who took my memories in their faces."

Hiro drags you over to Baymax and has you wrap your body around his. "I won't let you go." He smiles at you.
—Throw him off guard. Now is your chance! He's vulnerable!—
You tune out the sound and focus on the sky. The sun has begun to set and it makes the orange, blue, and red fade together to make a beautiful sky. The orange and red merge into a light pink shade from the white of the clouds. It all feels so surreal, like maybe you'll wake up to realise it's just a screwed up dream. However, staring at the wispy, pink clouds makes you realize this is all but a dream. This is all happening.
After some short flight, Hiro lands the robot onto the ground. "This is where I used to live." You remember.
"Yeah, you told us we could stay here." Hiro responds.
You stare at your feet as you walk into the house. "Candy Floss!" You hear at least four voices shout at once.
"What is this? Why are they calling me that?" You ask.
"She okay?" Fred asks, worried.
"No, we need you to remove this..."
You tune out what Hiro had to say, there was a buzzing in your ear and it sounded like it was leading you somewhere because when you'd turn a certain way it grew in pitch.
—follow me—
And with that, you followed the sound.
