(Y/n's POV)

The Katana hero made those sword. I wonder how strong they are. If they were made by a hero then they have to be pretty powerful. The stat booster is really good to, but the girls have along way to go before their strength is higher then the swords.

Y/n: Ok girls I want you to only focus on raising you strength for now. The swords have a negative effect if you don't exceed its strength requirement

Fu/Yu: Ok Master

I was planning to get the girls to kill monsters while we travel to a village that is close by. The monsters were a little stronger then the Balloons outside of Melromarc and would provide a good amount of experience for them.

Both of them were shaking in their boots as they looked at the wolf in front of them. I place my hands on their shoulders and smiled.

Y/n: Don't worry if something goes wrong I'll save you

Fu: R-Right

Yu: O-Ok

They took a deep breath and tightened their grips on their swords. Both charged the wolf, Fu reached it much quicker then Yu, and slashed down its left side.

By the time Yu got to it, it already jumped back. Fu quickly pressured the wolf and shoot past it. She quickly planted her foot and turned to shoot past it again, killing it.

A notification alert popped up showing the girls had leveled up, but I was more interested in the new skills Fu got.

Sword Skills

Air Step - Forms a platform out of solid air

Propulsion - Manipulates the air to boost speed

The girls came back to me with different attitudes. While Fu was excited, Yu was heartbroken.

Fu: Look Master! I did it!

Yu: I-I'm sorry M-Master! I c-can't do it

I felt bad for Yu. It's my fault since I never told them what their swords do. Yu is never going to match Fu's speed.

Y/n: I'm sorry Yu. It's not your fault. You see your sword grants you stronger magic stats while Fu's grants agility stats. In terms of speed you will lose, but magical power you have the advantage

Yu: S-So I didn't f-fail M-Master

Y/n: No you didn't. All that matters is you tried. Next time stay in the back lines and use magic instead of charging in

Yu: Ok Master

Another wolf popped out of a bush and growled at us. Yu got ready to face it while Fu and I watched from behind. The witch lady I talked to earlier said that Yu had an affinity for every type of magic so she had an endless possibility of spells to use.

I saw green particles start to travel up her blade and form at the tip of the sword. She slashed her sword in the direction of the wolf and a green wave shoot off her weapon.

It cut the wolf in two when it made contact. I got another notification about the girls leveling up and for new skills.

Yu: I did it Master!

Y/n: Good job Yu! I knew you could

We gather up the wolves, before heading to the village. It wasn't very big, but seemed quite lively. I practically spent no money on food since it was so cheap. I even considered buying a room since it also was cheap.

I was surprised to see Naofumi here. He was talking to a villager about something, who pointed in the direction of the mine I saw when I entered the village.

Before he could run off I called out to him and waved him over.

Y/n: Hey Naofumi!

Naofumi: Y/n!? What are you doing here?

Y/n: I was just exploring around and training these two

Naofumi: Who are the girls?

Y/n: These are Fu and Yu. I saved them from their old Master

Fu/Yu; H-Hello

Both girls were hiding behind me as they watched Naofumi and Raphtalia.

Raphtalia: Hello I'm Raphtalia

Fu: Fu

Yu: Yu

They slowly approached Raphtalia and shook her hand. The girls quickly grew comfortable with Raphtalia and started playing. Once they were far enough away I decided to bring up something I've neglected.

Y/n: The second wave is going to hit soon

Naofumi: Thats true

Y/n: We should party up for it Naofumi

Naofumi: I'm... I don't think I can do that...

Y/n: I understand

Naofumi: I'm sorry Y/n

Y/n: It's no problem. Just be careful when the time comes

Naofumi: Right

Me and Naofumi parted ways. He was heading in the direction to the mine, while I planned on going back out to farm some levels for me and the girls.

Timeskip

(3rd POV)

Y/n: Good job girls! We've gotten you a lot of levels today. You'll be able to cancel out the negative effects in no time

Fu: I'm glad Master is happy!

Yu: We can't let Master down!

They just finished killing off another group of wolves. While the girls have been killing, Y/n has been trying to learn new abilities.

He thought of trying to channel magic throughout his body and unlocked a skill called Flow when he did it.

Flow - Magic spreads throughout the body to enhance a specific stat

With a skill like this it would open up a lot of paths for him to learn more. A simple one he quickly learned was Magic Missile, by trying to shoot out the magic flowing through his body.

Magic Missile - A simple ranged attack made out of pure magic

Sadly their day was about to be ruined when the pesky Spear Hero made his presence known.

Motoyasu: Y/N!!!!!

Y/n: Great...

Motoyasu: Why do you have these girls!? Have you enslaved them like Naofumi!

Y/n: Can you leave me alone?

Myne: He has Sir Motoyasu! What a terrible thing to do! Forcing two little girls to fight his battles

Motoyasu: How despicable! Release them at once!

Fu: I don't like him Master

Yu: Can we kill him?

Y/n: Kill me instead. Then my headache could go away

Fu: B-But I don't w-want M-Master to d-die!

Yu: N-No M-Master don't die

Y/n: Sorry that was a bad joke

Motoyasu: Fight me Y/n!

Y/n: Will you leave me alone if I do?

Motoyasu: Yes

Y/n: Lets do this then

Motoyasu: Don't worry girls I will save you from this despicable man!

Before anyone could react, two feet made contact with Motoyasu's crotch. Fu and Yu were standing over him with glares.

Yu: Master is not a bad man!

Fu: Master loves us! We want to be with Master!

Myne: How dare you Demi-Humans attack a Cardinal Hero! You'll be executed for this!

Motoyasu: OW!!!!!

Myne: Sir Motoyasu! Quick! Get him to a hospital!

Motoyasu's party ran off with breakneck Spears, leaving a dust trail behind them. Y/n smiled proudly at the girls and patted their heads.
