(Y/n's POV)

I wasn't really prepared for this morning. Guards burst into my room and held me on the ground. Kevin tried to attack the guards on me, but one of them drove their spear through him.

Y/n: KEVIN!

When they finally got me out of the room, I saw Naofumi in the same boat as me.

Y/n: Naofumi what's happening?

Naofumi: I don't know

Guard: Shut up!

They dragged us to the castle and roughly threw us to the floor. I looked up to see the other heroes, King, and several other nobles and guards glaring at us.

I also notice Naofumi's companion standing behind the Motoyasu, looking at us with a devilish grin.

Naofumi: Myne! I'm glad your ok! Someone stole-

King: SHUT UP DEMON!!

Naofumi: Wh-What!?

I was surprised by the Kings outburst. I still wasn't sure what was happening. All I knew is we were the bad guys in this situation.

King: I knew you would show your true colors

Naofumi: What are you talking about!? I was the one robbed! Just ask my friend Myne!

Motoyasu: I won't let you pretend it didn't happen!

King: I'm sorry about asking this again, but could you please repeat what you said they did, Myne?

Myne: Th-They both got dr-drunk and b-broke into my r-room. They tried to f-forced themselves on m-me, but I f-found s-sir Motoyasu when I escaped

Naofumi: Myne!?

Y/n: Lying bitch!

Ren: You two think you're above the law!

Itsuki: We didn't think you were those kind of men!

Motoyasu: Who would think you would stoop so low!

Myne: You aren't heroes!

Naofumi: You bitch! I didn't ask to be here! If you hate me so much then send me back!

Y/n: Yea! You can't treat us like this!

King: As much as I want to I can't. No one can return until the waves are defeated

Y/n: Then what are you going to do! Lock us in prison until the next wave hits!

King: We would be at a disadvantage if I did that, but your actions will be know by everyone!

Naofumi: I'm outta here!

I watched as Naofumi throw his money at Myne's feet and storm past the guards. I looked back at the bastards that did this to us. The look in the King and Myne's eyes made me hate them even more. They were egging me on without saying a word.

Those Bastards!

(King's POV)

That's what you deserve you devils. That damn Shield Hero would only tear my family apart again! (Totally not his own fault...)

And the Necromancer Hero. I guess F/n had a damn kid and he has the same powers! How many of them do I have to kill until that cursed bloodline dies out! They only bring death and destruction everywhere they go!

Timeskip (Night)

(3rd POV)

The sun disappeared beyond the horizon not to long ago. At a lone tree in the fields around Melromarc, sat Y/n. He was looking at the screen in front of him trying to figure out more about his class. He'd spent hours grinding in the fields.

Y/n: I'm level 7 now... From what Naofumi told me I can absorb materials with my weapon to gain skills, but my guide doesn't say anything like that...

Y/n was scrolling through the few skills he had. He hadn't gain anymore since yesterday and was wondering how he could get more. From the games he has played, the necromancer usually has a lot of buffing abilities and summoning skills.

Y/n sighed in frustration as he looked up at the night sky. It was completely cloudless, revealing thousands of shinning stars. He felt at peace sitting under the starry night. Like he could hide away from everyone and do what he wants without the eyes of everyone on him.

After a few more minutes he got up and started back for the city. He didn't bother to look up at the people who where still out. They weren't important to him anymore.

He didn't even noticed Erhard until he ran into him. The glare he got from him hurt Y/n. Even he thought he did it.

Erhard: I should punch you for what you did!

Y/n: I didn't do it!

Erhard: Hmmm... That look in you eye... Ok I will believe you kid

Y/n: Thanks... can you buy some of my junk again?

Erhard: Sure what do you got this time?

Y/n: Just a few rabbit teeth and some balloon fragments

Erhard: I can give you 3 silver for it... say where is that balloon companion of yours?

Y/n: I don't want to talk about it...

Erhard: Sorry for asking... Here have this too. I was about to throw it out anyways

Y/n: Thanks you Erhard

Erhard: No problem kid! Stay safe out there'

Y/n left the shop and made his way to the closest pub. When he entered Y/n saw Naofumi sitting in the corner with a little girl.

He told the bartender to bring him food and a room key, before making his way over to Naofumi's table.

Y/n: Sup Naofumi

Naofumi: Hey Y/n

Y/n: Who's the little girl?

Naofumi: A Slave...

Y/n: You bought a slave!

Naofumi: Yea what about bit!

Y/n: Do you treat her like one!

Naofumi: Of course not!

Y/n: Good! I would hate for people to use this against you

The bartender placed Y/n's food and key on the table while grumbling curses. He already had to serve the Shield Hero and a Demi-Human. Know he had to give the damn Necromancer Hero food too.

Y/n: So little girl what's your name?

The girl jolted in surprise, not prepared to be ask a question.

Raphtalia: I-I'm Ra-Raphtalia m-mister

Y/n: That's a pretty name Raphtalia. I'm Y/n L/n, the Necromancer Hero

Raphtalia blushes from the compliment. Demi-Humans weren't commonly complimented in Melromarc.

Raphtalia: Th-Thank you Mr. L/n

Y/n: Anyways Naofumi that whole absorbing monster thing doesn't seemed to work

Naofumi: Well It should

Y/n: I tried to do it, but it never absorbed it

Naofumi pulled out a balloon and got Raphtalia to kill it. He then placed a piece on the green gem on his shield and it absorbed it.

Naofumi: See it works!

Y/n then tried, but it didn't do anything.

Y/n: Not for me.. I'm not sure how I'm going to gain skills now

Naofumi: It could be because we have different weapons. You must gain skills some other way

Y/n: That's probably true, but it doesn't tell me how anywhere in my help menu

Raphtalia yawned and rubbed her eyes. Naofumi got up from the table signaling me to follow. We went to the room he had rented and he put her to bed.

Naofumi: Anyways I don't know what to say. You'll just have to figure it out through trial and error Y/n

Y/n: That sucks! Why can't it just tell me how my class works!

Y/n and Naofumi gave each other a fist bump and Y/n left the room. When Y/n got to his room he laid down on his bed, staring up at the ceiling.

(Y/n's POV)

Lots of questions swam around my head. The ones that bugged me the most were, where was my dad, and how my class works.

My dad could have left another note about where I could find him at least. All he said in the letter was he was waiting, but not where.

And my class guide doesn't say anything about it. It's completely blank. Even if I was a new kind of class I would have thought it would have a beginners level bio. I don't want to create the whole thing from scratch.

Y/n: I'm to tired for this...

I sighed and rubbed my hands on my face. All of this is giving me a massive headache. Sleep was definitely going to make me happy right now. I just hope tomorrow morning wasn't as bad as today.
