We flew through the night sky, away from the city. Honestly it was pretty peaceful, if I didn't think about the Princess I kidnapped. She struggled a lot when I was trying to tie her up and trying to do so while on the back of a dragon isn't easy.

I decided it would be better to let things settle down a bit, and maybe solve this whole, trying to assassinate the Crowned Princess of Melromarc thing, before I joined up with Naofumi again. The girls won't give him too much trouble while I'm gone.

I had Xykus land on a mountain ledge at the edge of a forest. I helped the Princess down and undid the gag she had on. I also undid her restraints, since she had nowhere to run.

Melty: What do you think you are doing!?

Y/n: Didn't I already say I was saving your life?

Melty: I didn't need to be saved!

Y/n: Looked like you were about to be poisoned, unless all your maids just carry that stuff on them

Melty: I...

Y/n: That's what I thought

I set up a fire, and started cooking some of the spare food I had on hand. I should probably prepare to leave Melromarc for the time being, while I try to find any evidence that can link that bitch of a Princess to the assassination attempt.

I didn't think anyone would just believe some item that has a message attached to it. Specially if it's coming from me. I'd need more hard evidence. This all better be worth it, or I'm gonna beat up that guy for giving me this stupid quest line.

A awkward silence filled the air, I handed her a small tray of food, and made my own plate. I silently ate, staring at the sky trying to figure out what move I should take next.

Y/n: So why did they want to kill you?

Melty: Who?

Y/n: Your sister. She's the one behind this obviously

Melty: I... Don't know...

Y/n: Your family sure does suck

Melty: They aren't that bad

Y/n: HAHAHA, That's funny! Not that bad!

Melty: I'm not joking...

Y/n: I Know! That's what make it funnier!

Melty: Stop it! What could they have done for you to act like this!?

Y/n: Oh they have done a lot! That bitchy sister of yours accused me and Naofumi of trying to rape her and your trashy ass father killed most of my family!

Melty: He what?!... How would he be able to manage that?

Y/n: How do you not know any of this?

Melty: I'm never really with them. Mother and I have been traveling to other Kingdoms to mediate other problems like the recent Hero summoning

She sighed as she stared off into the fire. She seemed a lot more mature then the rest of her family so far, and wasn't being a total cunt, so maybe she wasn't as bad as her family. She also didn't know they were even doing this bullshit, so I couldn't really blame her for their actions.

Melty: As for my sister... She's probably after the spot for the throne. My mother made me the Crowned Princess over her, cause of her... rash... action

Y/n: Listen, I'll help you fix this assassination mess, but I am expected to be heavily compensated

Melty: I can make that happened

Y/n: Hope you are ready to be stuck with me for awhile then

Melty: I will try to help you as much as I can with the power I have

Melty held out her hand for me to shake, I put down my food and sighed, as I reciprocated the handshake.

Melty: Since we will be working together, please call me Melty

Y/n: Y/n... Don't even think about betraying me. I have no problem with destroying this entire country instead

Melty: I'll keep that in mind...

If she ends up being as bad as the rest of her family, I'm definitely going to end this entire country. She should be grateful that I'm not just killing off her family now. Her father is definitely going to die regardless. I'll just have to show her how bad her Kingdom is, and have her come around to my view of things. Her father and sister are the root of the corruption in this place, and it's seeped into the Nobility. If anything was going to change, people needed to die.

Melty: So... what's the plan?

Y/n: No clue

Melty: Wait you kidnapped me and didn't have a plan for what to do afterwards?

Y/n: Yep

Melty:...

Y/n: What? I wasn't expecting to kidnap you today either

Melty sighed and rubbed her hands against her forehead. She laid back against Xykus, who didn't seem all too bothered by her.

Actually I'm surprised she haven't asked about the dragon yet. Full blown dragons aren't actually very common, compared to their descendants. Thought it's better then her freaking out about it, so I won't mention it.

Timeskip

I don't think I'll ever get used to how beautiful the scenery in this world can be. The sky was much clearer then anything I'd ever see on Earth.

There was something peaceful about the fire crackling in the silence. Times like these certainly made me forget everything that's happened so far. It's definitely a welcomed relaxation.

The rustling of nearby bushes, caught my attention and the man I meet earlier appeared. I reached for my weapon, and he was quick to raise his hands again.

Origin: Don't worry I pose no harm to you.

Y/n: Yeah well it's pretty sus to just come out of some bushes in the dead of night

Origin: It's something you would do

Y/n: It is, but that has nothing to do with this

Origin: Jokes on you, it does

Origin took off his mask, and I was completely shocked at what I was looking at. He looked exactly like me, like he was a perfect copy. He took a seat next to the fire, and helped himself with the food.

I looked over at Melty to see she had fallen asleep laying against Xykus. I didn't know how to explain why there was some look alike with us, when even I didn't know why he looked like me.

Y/n: Soooo, why are you here? Can you maybe explain a little?

Origin: Well to keep it simple, I'm you. Just from a different timeline

Y/n: Ah yes, cause timeline hopping is very simple

Origin: I'm also considered the original you

Y/n: Oi! You can't just call dibs on being the original! Who declared you the original?

Origin: Cause my timeline holds the only Omnipotent beings. Them existing there would make my timeline the original one

Y/n: I see... So why are you even here?

Origin: A lot of our alternate selves die before this point. One of those Omnipotent beings placed a curse on me, that resulted in a lot of our deaths

Y/n: That doesn't explain why you are here thought

Origin: I'm getting to that... I'm here cause I'm also going to die soon, and the curse will go along with me because I was the original one it was placed on. Before that happens I wanted to entrust you with my Will

Y/n: Why me specifically?

Origin: Cause you've shown the most progress before dying, and I feared if I waited any longer for the perfect candidate I'd die

Y/n: Alright then, what is it that you want me to do?

Origin: Please Y/n, kill the God that cursed us

Origin's body started to turn to dust. He looked down at his hands as he watched it make its way up his arms.

Origin: I'm sorry that I couldn't give you more to help

I watched as the last of his body blew away. I still wasn't sure how to feel about all of this and I still have a lot I have to do before I can even think about trying to fight a God, but I'll accept the mission he gave me.

That's another task I need to do now, but it'll have to wait. I have a lot I want to finish here first, nor do I think I'm even close to being strong enough to accomplish it.

My current priority is figuring out what to do with Melty, but I'll do that after I rest. Today has been very eventful and has worn me out. Who would have thought kidnapping a princess and timeline bullshit would be so tiring.
