Chapter 34

"Dryad!" Ryukyu said, snapping her fingers in front of the freckled girl and breaking her out of the small trance she was in.

"Huh? Oh! Ryukyu! Sorry, I just kinda took the book from your hands." Akina said.

"It's fine... are you able to read that book?"

"Yeah, actually! I am!"

"What's it about?" Nejire asked, having managed to make her way to the front of the small crowd.

Akina tensed slightly, she couldn't just flat out tell her, and every other curious pro-hero in the room that this book was filled with various magic spells. She didn't know if anyone in this world could use magic themselves, but on the off chance they could she preferred to keep the contents of this book a secret. After a minute, she figured out an answer. "It's nothing too interesting. Just a book of Fairytales."

Ryukyu looked at her for a second then smiled. "Well, if it's just that then I think it might be best if you kept it. After all, you seem to be the only one around here who can read it."

"Really? I can keep it?" Akina asked, her eyes shining.

"Of course. Though, as I recall you were supposed to clean up the training room."

"Oh, uh, I finished with that!"

"Then you can help some of my sidekicks with their paperwork. You're still not off the hook after what you did last night."

Akina just nodded, "Yes ma'am!"

It wasn't long until internships were over, and after waving goodbye to Ryukyu and Nejire, she headed towards the train station, dread filling up her chest as she got closer. Just the thought of her getting onto the train from hell made her stomach do flips. In the last few days of her internship she had worked on learning new spells— of course she had to do it in private because if anyone saw her use transformation magic they'd start to question her and assume she had some secret second quirk and she really hadn't wanted to get into a mess like that.

Though with the book, she had managed to completely learn aria magic. Her landings were still a little shaky and she had face planted more than once. Thinking about everything she could do with what she learned made her excited, now, the sky was the limit. Literally!

"Last call for Musutafu, Japan." A voice over the speakers said and Akina jerked up and ran through the closing light rail doors, quickly sitting down before her motion sickness took over. The moment the train started moving she feel victim to the train.

After the ride from hell, Akina just barely made it out of the train before the doors closed on her. The moment she was on solid ground she had recovered completely and was headed home.

The weekend passed by and it was time for classes once again. After a weekend of patrolling with Laxus she was glad to be able to get a break from the older dragon slayer, plus she was interested in how all her classmates internships went.

As she walked up to her classroom, she could hear laughter coming from both Kirishima and Sero, seeing what they were laughing at the moment she opened the door. They were laughing at Bakugo, to be specific Bakugo's hair. Instead of it's usual spiked up porcupine style, his hair was combed over and smooth. It looked similar to the hairstyle of a class 1-B student, Monoma.

"Like the new style, hedgehog- oh, guess I can't call you that anymore." Akina said, placing a hand over her mouth as she snickered.

"Shut the hell up freckles, I'll kill you!"

"I'd like to see you try." Akina said, sticking her tongue out.

"What'd you say?!" Bakugo exploded— literally— and his hair returned to his usual spiked up style which only make the three of them laugh even harder.

"No way!" Mina's voice came and Akina looked over her shoulder to see the pinkette talking to Jiro. "Your got to face real villains? I'm super jealous!"

"Well I didn't fight all I did was help people evacuate and provide logistics." Jiro answered, twirling her earphone jack with her finger.

"That's still pretty cool!" Akina exclaimed walking over to them. "Without your help I bet they would of worked slower."

Jiro looked taken aback for a second before she gave a small smile. "Yeah. I guess you're right."

"And I bet it was so much fun!" Mina exclaimed.

"I spend basically the whole time training and cleaning the ship deck. Though there was this one day we caught a bunch of drug smugglers." Tsuyu said.

"Okay, that's cool." Jiro and Mina said.

"Pretty badass, Tsu!" Akina exclaimed.

"What about you, Akina?" Tsuyu asked.

"Oh, it was pretty boring really." Akina said as she waved her hand. "Of course on my first day I did rescue a bunch of people from a falling construction site, get interviewed for a magazine— which was really boring— and end up working rescue in Hosu. Though after I fought the Hero Killer I was put on training room cleaning duty and had to help file some paperwork with some sidekicks." She puffed her her cheeks in annoyance, "It was super boring!"

"Wait, did you say you fought the Hero Killer?" Jiro asked.

Oh, right. The news article just said I ran into him with the other three. Akina realized, "Did I say fight? I meant run into! I had gone without telling Ryukyu and ended up getting in big trouble! Anyways! How was your week, Uraraka?" She asked, making an attempt as pulling the attention away from her and onto her classmate. Luckily it seemed to work, even more so with the concerning dark aura surrounding their usually rosy classmate.

"I'd say that it was very enlightening."

"I think she found her fighting spirit." Tsuyu said.

"Yeah that battle hero must of been something else." Jiro muttered.

"Wow, after one week she's like a totally different person." Kaminari said from the other side of the room.

"Different? Don't be fooled, Kaminari, all women are demons at heart. They just hide their true personalities behind pretty faces." M*neta said from where he sat on top of his desk.

"What the heck did Mt. Lady do to you?" Kaminari asked. "Everyone at my internship loved me. It was actually kinda great. Now if you want to talk about the ones who really changed it was those four." He said, looking from Akina to Todoroki, Iida, and Midoriya who were standing at the back of the room.

"Oh yeah! The Hero Killer!" Sero exclaimed, and Akina had to. Stifle her laughter as she saw that both him and Kirishima had been grabbed by an angry Bakugo.

"Glad you made it back alive." Kirishima said. "Seriously."

"I worried about you too." Momo said.

"You're lucky Endeavor showed up and saved you guys." Sato said.

Of course that's the cover story they went with. Still don't know how much I like that. Akina thought in annoyance. Ever since the Sports Festival she held a very specula disliking for the hero.

"Did you guys hear the news about the Hero Killer?" Ojiro asked. "Everyone's saying he was somehow connected to the League of Villains. Can you imagine how frightening it would of been if that creep had been there when they attacked the USJ?"

"He's scary, yeah, but did you see him in that weird video?" Kaminari asked, "It's all over the internet."

"I didn't know there was a video of him." Ojiro said.

"Yeah! Stain's a pretty evil villain— like super tenacious— he's almost kind of cool don'cha think?"

"Kaminari!" Midoriya exclaimed, and the blond boy seemed to realize what he said.

"Oh! Dude!"

"No, it's okay." Iida said, looking down at his arm. "You're fine. It is true that he's quite a tenacious villain I understand why people might think he was cool. Instead of helping the world, his beliefs led him to cold blooded murder no matter his motives killing cannot be condoned."

"To be honest, I kinds think he's cool." Akina said, getting the attention on her. "Actually he kind of reminds me of someone I knew back home! It's pretty funny actually. When we fist met he destroyed a lot of my families property by driving giant steel beams through it! Then he knocked three of my family members unconscious and hung them up in the main park! Of course this was all to kidnap a new member, but eventually he decided to join our family and he's actually a pretty cool guy, and strong too! I spar against him a lot! Though he didn't actually murder anyone that I know of, didn't get the chance to!"

The class stared at her in shocked silence, none of them knowing what to say.

"A-Anyways, class is about to start soon so we might want to get to our desks." Momo said, breaking the silence that had fallen over the class.

"Yes!" Iida exclaimed, "It's time for class to begin! Everyone please take your seats!"

"He's back." Tokoyami muttered.

Akina smiled, the gloom that had fallen among the three seemed to lift as Iida got back to normal, as did the mood of the class. She knew that Iida would be a great hero someday, someone who will bring smiles to everyone he meets.
