Chapter 21
Akina sat on top of a table in the waiting room, humming softly to herself as she weaved flowers together. Her mind had wondered back to the Grand Magic games and all the fin times she had with her guild as they proved to all of Fiore that they were the number one guild.
The peace was suddenly interrupted by someone kicking the door open, causing Akina to jump and drop the flower crown she was weaving. She looked towards the doorway to see Bakugo staring at her with a confused expression.
"Hey, what the hell are you doing in here? This is my space to-" he paused and leaned back to read the sign. "Crap, this is waiting room number two?"
Akina laughed. "What, you so nervous about our match that you forgot how to read for a second?" She teased.
"At least I don't have the reading level of a little kid!" Bakugo shouted angrily.
"Hey! I can't help it! Your lettering is confusing and nothing as to what I'm used to!" Akina retorted.
"Hah! You're such an idiot!"
"Am not, Hedgehog!"
"Stop calling me that, Freckles!"
"I'll stop when you stop being a hedgehog." She stuck out her tongue and slid off the table. She crouched down and picked up the flower crown that she had dropped when Bakugo kicked the door open.
"What? You making a flower crown? How lame." Bakugo scoffed. "I'm kinda disappointed my opponent in the finals is a sissy."
Akina looked at him with a deadpan expression. "Did you... not see me completely demolish the stadium and send Todoroki flying in my last match."
"That Icyhot bastard only used half of his power, I'd be more impressed if you had lost to him."
Akina straightened up with her flower crown in her hand. "Well, I guess I'll just have to show you exactly what I'm capable of, huh, Bakugo."

Akina walked through the hallways to get to the field. She had been notified that her match was gong to be starting soon.
As she walked a burning scent made it's way to her nose and she stopped in her tracks. Looking over her shoulder she saw a large man who seemed to be partly on fire.
"Uh, hello there, sir. Can I help you?" She asked, turning around to fully face the man.
"You beat my son. You must have some type of strong quirk." The man said.
Beat his son? Oh, this Must be Todoroki's dad. I knew the scent was kinda familiar. "I guess so."
The man scoffed, "If only he had used his flames, he would of wiped you out in seconds. Such a stubborn brat." He added the last thing quietly, but Akina was able to hear him loud and clear.
"And what makes you think that, huh? Do you think that just because I have a nature quirk a few flames would take me down? To make assumptions about someone you haven't even met is very rude, and you might come to find that your assumptions aren't always correct."
"What are you saying, girl?"
Akina just gave him a smile and turned around, walking down the hall and headed straight towards the field.

"Welcome to the final battle of the UA High School Sports Festival! In just a moment here we'll see which first years come out on top!" Present Mic announced. Both Akina and Bakugo were on the stage, the crowd raring with excitement all around them. "Yes, it all comes down to this, folks! From the hero course, it's Hayashi Akina! Versus her classmate, Bakugo Katsuki! Now begin!"
Akina and Bakugo sprang into action. The moment Akina got close enough to swing Bakugo set off a large explosion close to the side of her head. The sound of it made her pause and cover her ear as it started ringing.
"Hah, so my suspicions were right." Bakugo scoffed as Akina looked up at him. "Your hearing is enhanced. This will be easy then."
Akina smirked, "If you think that you'll beat me just because you know of my enhanced hearing, your in for a fucking surprise." She lunged forwards and balled her hand into a fist. She aimed a punch at Bakugo's gut only for the blond to catch her and set off an explosion.
Akina immediately pulled back and looked at her fist, seeing that it was burned red and bleeding a bit. "Huh, those explosions pack a punch."
"Hayashi's fist took that explosion head on! It doesn't look too good!" Present Mic exclaimed.
Akina opened and closed it, wincing a bit at the pain. "That was a smart move. Guess my hit to the gut is too predictable for someone like you, huh?" She asked as her fist was encompassed in a soft green glow. "Guess I'll have to switch things up."
Bakugo looked at her now healed fist with a scowl. "Damn you freckles! You can heal yourself?!"
"That's what I just did, wasn't it?" Akina asked, tilting her head in confusion.
Bakugo growled and jumped onto the air, using his explosions to propel him. "You're not beating me!" He shouted.
"I'm not? That's news to me." Akina jumped up in the air and met him midway. She flashed him a smile as she got above him and kicked him towards the ground. Not as strongly as she would kick a dark wizard— she found out that the people in this world weren't able to get kicked into the ground at the same speed and force without breaking all their bones, unlike the wizards in her world. She had learned that the hard way.
Bakugo landed on the ground and the cement cracked ever so slightly— but he wasn't dead, and the fact that he was able to stand up mostly fine showed that his legs weren't broken. She landed on the ground not to far from him and saw him wipe at his nose.
"What the heck was that?!" Present Mic shouted out. "Is Bakugo okay after that kick?"
Bakugo turned to look at Akina who was completely unharmed. He removed his hand from his nose to reveal that it was a bloodied mess. It was most likely broken. "What the fuck was that, freckles?!" He shouted, his red eyes wide and his expression angry.
"A kick?" Akina answered.
"There was no way that was a regular kick! Do you have some kind of second strength quirk!?"
"Not that I know of. I got that strength by training! Now, are we going to continue this fight or not. As far as I'm aware I've got this match in the bag. Care to prove me wrong, Hedgie~?"
Bakugo growled and rushed up to Akina, using his explosions to make him move faster. He sped through the air and the moment he got close Akina jumped to the side and watched as he just barely avoided crossing over the boundary line. He turned and sped towards Akina again.
This went on for a few minutes, Bakugo would sped towards her and Akina would dodge at the last moment.
"Hayashi is on the defensive but.. it almost looks like she's dancing?" Present Mic announced.
Akina smiled softly she was dancing in a way. Her father had taught it to her when she was a little girl. "The dance of the winds" he had called it. She completely relaxed herself and went where her feet took her. It was a beautiful dance when taken seriously and preformed the way it was meant to be preformed but she found a few years ago that using this method helped with dodging almost any attack.
Bakugo skidded to a halt and held his wrists as she turned to look at Akina with an enraged expression on his face. "You going to keep dodging like a coward, huh?" Bakugo asked. "I bet that's why you're here! Your family must of been ashamed to have coward in it so they sent you off! Hah! Or maybe they're just like you! Cowardly and lame!"
Akina tensed, her smile falling and her bangs covering her eyes. She stopped moving and faced Bakugo, who had stopped attacking her for a moment. "What was that?" She asked, the usual pep in her voice vanishing.
"You heard me! Cowardly and lame Hayashi coming from a cowardly and lame family!"
A dark aura surrounded Akina and she looked up at Bakugo, a calm look on her face. "You can insult me all you want." She started.
"Wha-?"
"But if you ever try to insult my family right in front of me you've completely deserved what's coming to you." She tiled her head slightly, a dangerous expression now on her face. "I'm going to shake the earth from under you."
"You think you're going to win just like that?" Bakugo's asked as she lunged forwards again, using his explosions to propel himself.
"If you're in a seating section that Miss Hayashi is facing, I would advise you all to move immediately." Mr. Nezu's voice came on over the speakers, and immediately all of the heroes got out of their seats and rushed to a clear area and anyone wondering the halls inside the stadium were moved by heroes, all of them slightly confused about Nezu's announcement. Was there a villain? Could Hayashi have an attack similar to Todoroki's glacier one?
Akina took in a deep breath and widened her stance. "Nature dragon..." she started, and a magic circle appeared at her mouth. "Roar!" A beam of light rushed out of her mouth and headed straight towards Bakugo. The blond stopped in his tracks and looked at the attack with wide eyes.
The spell hit him head on, and he flew back. His uniform was scratched up and his body became limp. He had been knocked out. The only sign that he was alive when he landed out of bounds was the slow rise and fall of his chest. Behind him the seating area, as well as the entire portion of the stadium she was facing had been reduced to rubble.
A silence had fallen over the stadium before it erupted into cheers.
"B-B-Bakugo is out o-of bounds. H-Hayashi wins." Midnight announced, obviously shaken up from the last attack.
"That was insane! Did you see that folks! With one move Hayashi has knocked Bakugo out of bounds and destroyed half the stadium! What the hell kind of move was that!?"
Akina silently watched as Bakugo was placed on a stretcher and taken out of the stadium to recovery girl's office which luckily was behind her. She took a deep breath to calm herself down and she too headed off the field, leaving the cheering crowd behind her.
A little ways into the corridor she stopped walking and balled her hands into fists. "Damn it, I really hoped I wouldn't destroy the stadium!"
