The students were off, and Akina found herself being swept along by her classmates and the other first years. She felt everyone start pushing each other as they got stuck. The doorway was narrow, and the amount of students trying to reach through it ended up

I need to get above everyone. Akina thought as she reached her hands up into the air and created vines. She shot them upwards and wrapped them around some of the support beams above her. She retracted them and shot upwards, hanging above the crowd. Taking a deep breath she started to swing. Up, down, up, down. Eventually she had gained enough momentum and she let go of the vines, flinging herself forwards as she soared over the crowd of students.

She exited the corridor just as ice started to spread out across the ground, freezing some of the other kids feet to the ground. But Akina, along with some other students from class A had managed to avoid getting frozen.

"I won't let you get away so easily! You Icy Hot bastard!" Bakugo shouted, flinging himself forwards by using his explosions.

Akina landed on the ground and immediately started skating forwards. She internally thanked Gray for all the times he's frozen the ground during fights.

"I didn't expect so many people to dodge that. Especially those from other classes." Todoroki muttered from ahead of Akina.

"Aw, have a little more faith in us!" Akina called out as she started to skate faster, dodging the balls Mineta had thrown onto the ground to hop on. Speaking of Mineta, he was just about to attack Todoroki with one of his balls when a robot hit him out of the air.

"Hey! These are some of the robots from the training rooms!" Akina exclaimed, then she looked up at the giant ones, a wide grin appearing on her face. "But I haven't fought these ones yet! So exciting!"

Her words caused some of the students around her to give her strange looks, almost like they didn't believe what she had just said.

"Oh! Enemies that showed up out of nowhere!" Present Mic announced. "I bet we're in for a treat here!"

"So this is what the other students faced in the entrance exams." Todoroki said.

One of the Zero Pointers lunged forwards, aiming an attack on the Student body. Todoroki had started to move, but before he could do anything Akina shot forwards.

"Nature Dragon: Groundbreaking Kick!" She casted. A magic circled appeared at her heel and she aimed a kick at the large robot in front of her. The contact created a small shockwave that pushed back the students on the ground, and the robot she had made contact with, as well as the robot behind her exploded, rubble and metal parts ranging towards the ground.

Man, those were too easy. I was kinda hoping for a challenge. Akina thought to herself as she started to fall to the ground.

"What kind of strength quirk does she have!?" A student from a different class asked with fear in his voice.

"S-she doesn't have a strength quirk." Kaminari said.

"What?!"

"An amazing display of strength shown my miss Hayashi! I know I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of that kick!" Present Mic exclaimed as he unknowingly placed a hand on his stomach— the exact place Akina had punched him when he fought her himself. Somewhere in the stands Power Loader shuddered.

"What the hell kind of move was that, freckles?!" Bakugo shouted once she landed on the ground.

"Hm? Just a kick." Akina said simply before jumping right back up into the air again, using the debris to aid her in getting higher in the air until she could safely soar over the remaining robots. "Anyways, I'll see you at the finish line!" She called out before she propelled herself over the robots.

Behind her there was the strong scent of ice and glance in over her shoulder she saw that Todoroki and frozen the robots and managed to run past them. Though moments after they shifted forwards and started falling.

So he froze them while they were off balance. Smart move, Icyhot. I might have to tell Gray about that tactic once I get back home. She thought, a small grin appearing on her face.

Soon, Bakugo joined the two of them on the front lines, having propelled himself over the wreckage of the robot. He was closely tailed by a few other classmates, and soon more people had gotten past the blockage that Todoroki had made.

After a bit of running, Akina stumbled across the next obstacle. It looked to be a tightrope walk over a deep chasm.

Akina whistled, "Damn. They really put a lot of effort into this." She said, crouching at the edge of the chasm. "Well, here goes nothing!" She straightened up and stretched her arms out in front of her. She took a deep breath and jumped.

"Hayashi!" Someone shouted from above.

As she fell, Akina summoned vines and wrapped them around the ropes, using the momentum to fling herself forwards. She swung from rope to rope until she reached the other side of the chasm. She flung herself into the air and landed on the ground, immediately running the moment her feet touched the ground.

Both Todoroki and Bakugo had gotten ahead of her, but she wouldn't allow it to stay that way. She grinned and pushed herself to run faster, quickly closing the distance between her and the two boys.

"And now they're nearing the last Obstacle." Present Mic's voice said. "Everyone had better tread carefully, you're stepping right onto a Mine field! If you look carefully you can see where those little bombs are buried, so keep your eyes on the ground, folks!"

Akina looked at the ground, seeing darker spots on the ground. Ahead of her Todoroki had already started weaving along the darker mounds and Bakugo had started to propel himself above the minefield. Behind her she could already hear the footsteps of the other competitors.

"Well, I'd best be heading forwards." She said. "Don't want to fall too far behind!" She made a vine and had it wrap itself around her waist. She had it lift her off the ground, pull back, then shoot her forwards, causing her to soar above the field. She quickly closed the gap between her and the two boys ahead of her.

She felt herself start to fall towards the ground about halfway through the and quickly summoned a second vine, flying through the air. Though as she was flying through, there was a loud explosion, one that made her have to cover her ears. She glanced over her shoulder to see a giant cloud of pink smoke, and saw something- no someone flying out of it.

She landed on the ground harshly, just barely avoiding a few of the mines, and watched as Midoriya soared over the coarse. "Aw crap! I can't keep watching, I've gotta keep moving!" She quickly summoned another vine and did the same thing she had done before and flung herself over the field, finally closing the gap and flew ahead of the two boys at the front of the race. But her reign in first place was short as Midoriya flew right past her.

A determined grin appeared on her face as she summoned a fourth vine and had it fling her to the end of the field. Bakugo and Todoroki were close on her trail, and Midoriya was not too far ahead of her. If she could just get past him and get to the other end of the field she would be able to get first place. Luckily for her Midoriya started to fall to the ground while she shot forwards. But there was another explosion, and a blur of green Midoriya rolled past her and started running.

"Oh no you don't!" Akina shouted, landing successfully on the other side of the mine field and running after the freckled boy. "I'm not letting you get first that easily!"

The two of them were running neck and neck for the last stretch of the race. Akina would pull ahead, then Midoriya would pull ahead. It was a toss of who was in first. Once the two of them had gotten into the corridor Akina looked ahead to see the light at the end. She was almost there. Just a little more and-

"The first to make it back to the stadium is the first place winner!" Present Mic's voice came echoing through the tunnel. "It's Hayashi Akina! No wait, Midoriya Izuku? Or... who was it?"

Akina slowed to a stop and worked on catching her breath, Midoriya doing the same thing.

"Well folks, this is a close one! Let's look at the playback!" Present Mic shouted and the screen changed to show the entrance to the stadium, where Akina and Midoriya had just ran through. The playback was slowed and everyone watched the play by play.

Akina looked up at it, watching as two figures made it into view. First an arm, then another arm. One of them had pulled ahead, and that one was;

"Midoriya Izuku has claimed first place! Hayashi Akina taking second place!" Present Mic shouted and the crowd went wild.

"Damn it!" Akina exclaimed, "And I was so close too!"

"Uh, you did really well, Hayashi." Midoriya said, walking up to the freckled girl.

"Yeah, but I didn't get first." She pouted. "Well, that settles it, I'll just have to beat you in the next game!"

Somewhere in Musutafu Japan, there was a man walking along the streets, a crowd of kids and adults getting his attention.

"Woah! They crossed the line at the same time!" A kid exclaimed.

The man walked over to the crowd, getting a few stares from the adults as he leaned forwards and looked at what everyone was watching. It was a box that was showing images. Though something on the screen caught his eye. A familiar red headed girl appearing on screen with a large number 2 next to her.

The man leaned back, a grin appearing on his face. "So that's where you've been, you twerp."
