The Kondolvey

Two Years Later

I woke up to my 6:00 alarm, I pushed the dismiss as I swam out of my bed into my closet.

"Why do we always haft to get up so early?" Nico asked putting the pillow over his face.

"I don't know I just want too?" I said trying to answer the question.

I shut the door to the closet and quickly completed the dressing process, the hard part is always slipping the pants over my webbed feet.

I opened the closet door and went to the mirror and started brushing my long, purple hair. I looked my reflection. I had grown so much since Mom and Dad had left. It made me sad to think about them not being here. Through the reflection, I saw Nico still in bed.

"Nico, you lazy nymph get up!" I yelled at him not turning around.

He groaned then, finally, got out of bed. He started swimming very slowly to the closet.

"You're slower than a Crackshen-Louu*!" I yelled again, but this time turning around.

"And you're more annoying than Jiggly Octopus" Nico yelled back finally arriving at the closet.

Jiggly Octopus was, of course, an octopus. She was swept into the spring as a little octopus. She took pleasure in annoying Nico a few years back and she never stopped. Nico thought when we started living with Aunt Nacie she would stop, but sadly lives in a cave nearby with her current foster family Mr. and Mrs. Chasseway.

"Hi Chico-Nico," A voice said as Nico came out of the closet.

We looked out the window and there was Jiggly, with all eight, red, tentacles pushing her through the window.

"I told you to stop calling me that Jiggly," He told her his face turning red in anger.

"Did ya know when you get angry your face turns red, and since your hair is orange it makes ya look like ya on fire!" Jiggly exclaimed.

"So anyway, κα Chassway*, Made cookies last night, and I asked if I could take some to me, friends, she said I had to give them to ya in the morning so here dey are," Jiggly said handing us a cloth bag.

"We'll eat them after breakfast," I told her setting them on the bed.

"Nico, Angel, and if Jiggly's there, her too, come down here." Aunt Nacie.

We all went straight to the kitchen, where Aunt Nacie was.

"Good morning Nico and Angel." Aunt Nacie said directing us to the table.

"Καλημέρα," Aunt Nacie said to Jiggly in χταπόδια or Octopi, Jiggly's native tongue.

Aunt Nacie is fluent in many languages, but mostly Naiad, χταπόδια, and the human's English.

"Καλημέρα και σε σένα," Jiggly told her.

"Naiad please we all want to contribute to the conversation," Nico said.

We sat down in front of bowls of cotto-covoto* and started eating straight away. Everyone but Jiggly ate, she eats before she comes over.

"Oh yeah, I got the scroll for you, κα Nacie," Jiggly exclaimed giving my Aunt the Shinkay Scroll*.

"Ευχαριστώ," Nacie said putting on her reading glasses and started reading right away.

I didn't know much Octopi, but I knew that meant Thank-you.

As I was eating I noticed something I hadn't earlier. I swam over to the kitchen counter and there was the Kondolvey* letter from Mom and Dad.

"Nico, the letter is here," I exclaimed.

I sat back down and I read the letter aloud.

"Dear Angel and Nico,

We miss you so much! All goes well here. Galloway was a little sick a week ago but he is much better.

I hope you guys have been enjoying yourselves, at Aunt Nacie's, No matter what know we love you.

Love,

Trive and Galloway Fisianna"

Mom and Dad always used their first names for some reason and Aunt Nacie says when we write them to use their first names too. I don't understand why, I don't even understand why they're away either no matter what the secrets behind them being away from us, they are still alive.
