"Eris, just run slowly! You'll trip again later. You'll injure your knee again," said a male voice while chasing the young Eris.

"I'll be careful!" Eris responded enthusiastically. She is currently playing with her Daddy in the garden and their mother is just happily watching them.

"Ouch!" Eris groaned as she tripped and her knee hit a rock. She cries while looking at the injured part of her body.

"See? I was just telling it to you earlier. You're really stubborn," Her father sermon and carried her into their house to treat her wound.

"Hush now, sweetie," the Mommy comforted her.

"It hurts, Mommy." She is still crying and groaning when the cotton touches her wound.

"Shhh, hold on. That's it, Daddy has treated it." She looked at it and that's when she stopped crying.

Her father handed her the peeled orange and her face immediately lit up. She spilled it and the couple laughed at what their daughter was doing. After Eris ate, she looked up but was surprised because her Mommy and Daddy suddenly disappeared from her sight.

"Mommy? Daddy?" She stood up to look for the two.

"Mom? Dad? Where are you?" She also went up to the second floor of their house but she couldn't find them.

"Mom! Dad!" Fear rose in her chest when she couldn't see her parents.

"Where are you? Don't leave me!" Tears formed in her eyes as she continued to search. She went to all the corners of their house but she didn't see a shadow of them.

"Mommy, Daddy! Don't leave me!" She cried and cried and her surroundings completely engulfed by the darkness.

Eris woke up with a headache. She forced herself to get up and observed her surroundings. She is inside their house. She looked at herself and realized that she was on the sofa. She immediately wondered how she got there. She stood up and walked.

"Oh Eris, you're awake." A woman appeared before her—Aling Sonya.

"I saw you lying outside your house earlier, so I asked my husband to help me move you inside. What happened, Eris?" Aling Sonya asked in wonder.

"Ah, nothing, Aling Sonya. Thank you." It was all she answered.

"In that case, I'm going to leave you here, alright? I just waited for you to wake up. It's hard to be alone while you're sleeping, bad people might intrude you in here. Wait, where did your parents go?" Eris looked at her again.

She didn't seem to know what was going on with them so it was better to just lie.

"They go for a trip. It will be a long time before they can come back."

"Ah, is that so? Are you okay here alone?" Eris nodded.

"Alright, I'm leaving, hija. Be careful here, okay?"

"Yes, thank you very much." She smiled at her and left.

She went back to sitting and remembered what happened again. That's right, the old woman saved her from Aya's hand.

"Thank you so much, Grandma..." She whispered into the air. Everything ended because of that old woman, so she owes a lot to her. She will never be able to forget how she saved her life.

It's all over. Her life is peaceful again but she is alone. Right now, she can only think of one way, to get away from that chaotic place. She had been given so much trouble before and now she wanted to give herself a break—a comfortable rest that would give her peace. Eris has made up her mind. She will leave that place.

She returned to the grave of her parents to say goodbye to them. Everything is still heavy on her but she thinks that her departure will give her total peace of mind.

"Mom, Dad, I'll leave this place for now. I'll come back when everything is fine, I promise." She smiled in front of them.

"I will miss you. I love you so much."

After that, she packed her things and prepared her papers. She's totally sure of doing that things. She did not continue her studies. With the rest of her savings, she decided to push herself to Japan to take opportunities on her new life.

Even though she experienced many failures in life, that did not stop her from continuing. She believes that a new and better future awaits her.

With the good advice of her parents, she completely left the place and embarked on a new phase of her life.
