Chapter 6

It's their last day at the Villa. Aya and Eris are already packing their things. She looked at Aya who was busy arranging things.

"Aya."

"Hmm?" She answered without even looking at Eris. She wanted to ask her friend.

"Ah..." She began.

"What is it?" Aya still didn't look at her.

"Nothing." Eris did not continue the planned questioning. Aya stopped what she was doing and faced her.

"What really is it?"

"I'm excited to go home."

"Me too." Aya smiled.

"Get some rest, huh? Then, go get a checkup,"Aya teased her with a laugh.

"You're really bad!" She was also infected by her friend. Somehow she felt better because of Aya.

"Aya! Eris! Come on." They turned to the door. A smiling Fumiya stood there.

"Eat first before leaving."

"Yes, we'll come," Aya replied.

"Eris, you should eat, okay? You can't refuse now," Fumiya continued.

"Oh okay," She answered.

"Just come after you fix your things." Fumiya left again.

"Are your things ready?" Aya asked.

"Yes, everything is packed," She answered.

"Let's go." She pulled Eris out to eat. There is a lot of food on the dining table. She hasn't tasted their food here since the first time but it would be a shame if she refused them.

"Eris, come, eat with us," Aya's father offered with a smile.

"Ah, yes." She sat down with them.

She stared at the dishes in front of her. It's a lot compared to the previous days. It looks like they actually prepared those for them. There was a lot to choose from, but she chose only vegetable fern salad. She hesitated to eat it but she noticed the looks of her companions so she smiled at them and took a bite. Her taste is fine with the food. It's just like what she tasted before that her mom used to make. So, she used it up.

"Be careful on the road? We'll miss you here," Aya's mother said tearfully.

"Of course, Mom. You're getting emotional again. Eris and I will come back when we have time again." Aya caressed her mother's back and hugged her.

"Is that a promise?"

"Yes mom."

"We'll get going, Ma'am. Thank you very much," Eris said kindly.

"Sky, you're going to be nice here, aren't you? Don't give your mom a headache," Eris said when she saw the mother and son. Instead of answering, he just looked at her.

"We're leaving." They walked towards the tricycle driver who was waiting for them. They waved to them before they finally got into the tricycle.

They looked at them until they could see them no more. A few minutes later they reached the entrance of the Villa. Just as they were getting off, the van was coming, so they immediately stopped it and got in.
Due to exhaustion, the two fell asleep. When they woke up, they were at the van terminal in Manila.

Aya opened her eyes first so she shook Eris who was still fast asleep. She slowly woke up and looked outside the window.

"We're here!" They got off together with the passengers. The two also parted ways and rode a tricycle. When Eris arrived in front of their gate, she was greeted enthusiastically by their guard.

"Welcome back, Ma'am Eris!" The woman smiled at him and immediately help her to carry her things.

"Let me help you, Ma'am."

"Thank you."

She walked towards their main door and was surprised by what she saw. She carefully observed the man's back. She knows it well just by the way he stands. This is her Daddy.

"Dad?" She called him.

"Eris, child!" Her father's eyes lit up when he saw her.

"Come, my princess. I missed you!" Her father hugged and kissed her on the forehead.

"I miss you too, Dad!" She cried because of missing her father.

It's been three years since he hasn't been with her because of busyness with his various businesses in other countries. It seems that he only now had time to visit them.

"How's your trip?"

"Tiring, Dad," She answered.

"My princess should have some rest," Her father said softly.

Ever since then, this is how her father treated her. So, she is thankful and lucky because she has parents like them. She's the only child, so she is abundant in the love of the couple. When she looked up at her mother, she approached her and hugged her tightly.

"I miss you, Mom."

She felt her mother's caress on her back and  protection that she hadn't felt in a week.

"You really sound tired. Eat and rest, sweetie." She kissed the lady's cheek first before nodding.

Because she wasn't hungry yet, she just went straight to her room and threw herself down. She missed the house, she missed her room. She just stared at the white ceiling and meditated. She regrets because she didn't even get any answers to her questions.

She stood up quickly and took out her cellphone. She suddenly remembered that she was going to search about the Villa. She immediately hit the keyboard and articles about it appeared. She looked at it one by one but there was nothing out of the ordinary. She scrolled further down and an article caught her attention.

'Villa del Francia, consumed by fire...'

She read the entire article and was shocked by what she found out. All the people in the said area are dead and the source of the fire is also unknown so the case has been closed because no enough evidence could be gathered.

She covered her mouth while her eyes widened. Suddenly, questions flooded her mind.

"H-How could they die if I talked to them in person?" She also wondered why there was no reason for the place to burn and why it was so easy to close the case.

"Aya? How? No..." She murmured. She couldn't believe what she found out.

Is that why she always dreams of people asking her for help because that's where they themselves died? Is that why she dreamed of Sky? Is that why the old woman warned her?

She gradually realized that the things that were troubling her would be connected. What she found out now was too overwhelming. She was tired and sleepy from the journey and another bunch of thoughts were on her mind.
