Rescue Mission

Upon returning to the school Jenny and Denny tell Marianna about Reese and the others disappearing. Marianna is frantic that something has happened to her son and the other kids. Will Dora hold the key to find them?

Back at the Drell Institute, Jenny and Denny tried to explain things to Marianna. "You did what?" Marianna shouted. "After I explicitly told Reese and Cree not to go venturing into the city."

"We didn't know about that," Jenny said.

"And if you did...?" Both Denny and Jenny were silent. "That's what I thought," Marianna said in answer to their silence.

"Fanta, don't worry," Mike said. "We'll find them."

"Damn right we will," Marianna said, while pacing back and forth. "Question is... How?" She tried to think but worry and frustration took over. Suddenly, someone entered her office.

"Fanta," a man's voice came. Marianna looked up to see Dusk. She ran to him and embraced him. "What the hell happened?"

"It's the kids," Marianna said. "They're missing."

"What?" Dusk shouted out. "How?"

"It's a long story," Denny said. "The question is how are we going to find them?"

"We aren't going to do anything," Mike said. "Whoever is behind this is dangerous. You kids are staying here."

"But..." Jenny started to say but was abruptly cut off.

"No buts," Marianna said. "Now, how are we going to find them? They could be anywhere."

"I know where they are." Marianna looked up to see a girl with short brown hair come into the entrance of the living room.

"Dora," Marianna said and rose to her feet. "How do you know?"

"Jordon is my twin," Dora said, walking to one of the chairs and sitting down. "We're connected."

"Did you have a vision?" Jenny asked.

"Yes," Dora said. "I felt him very strongly. He's in great pain. I saw Cree too. She was fighting with someone."

"Do you know this place?" Mike asked. "Can you see it?"

"Yes, very clearly, but I'm not sure of the location." Dora looked a little distraught. "I know if I could just concentrate harder."

"Dora, don't push it," Marianna said, kneeling down next to her. "Just let the images flow." Dora nodded in agreement and closed her eyes. There was a dead silence for several minutes.

"There's a lot of noise," Dora started to say. "Loud music and a lot of people around."

"That must be the club she's seeing," Jenny said. Marianna raised her hand, and Jenny instantly became silent.

"What else do you see?" Marianna asked.

"There's a door," Dora said. "I see it opening into a long hallway. I feel myself walking down. There's two men there. They're walking down a long hallway to a staircase, a long spiral staircase. It goes on forever. Now, they reached the bottom. There's another long corridor. The older man, he's talking to two others. One looks like a hospital orderly and the other, I think he's Sadian. He's young. I see them go into a room. There are rows of beds laid out with patients." Dora stopped for a moment. "I see him." She gasped and clutched her chest.

"Who do you see?" Marianna asked.

"My brother," Dora said. "He's trying to fight them, but nothing's happening. He can't use his power." She stopped for a moment. "Oh, no." Dora cried out in pain.

"Dora, calm down," Marianna said. "Just let the images flow."

"I can't," Dora cried out. "It hurts too much. I can't..." Dora started to shake as Marianna held her. "Make it stop! I'll do whatever you want. Don't hurt her."

"Dora, where are you?" Marianna asked. It was a good bet she was channeling. Suddenly Dora lost consciousness and fell into Marianna's arms. They laid her unconscious body on the sofa, while Marianna examined her.

"Is she alright?" Jenny asked, walking over and kneeling next to where Dora laid unconscious.

"She'll be fine," Marianna said. "She just needs rest."

"So," Mike started. "According to Dora there's a secret lab underneath that club."

"Looks like it," Marianna said. "And take one guess who's behind it."

"Brown," Dusk said, balling up his fist. "That dirty son of the bitch is going to pay for this."

"So what are you waiting for?" Marianna remarked while heading for the entrance. Mike followed close behind her.

"This isn't a good idea," he said. She turned to him with a shocked look on her face. "You're too close to this. Let me handle it."

"That mad man has my son," Marianna fired at him. "I'm not going to stand back and watch him die."

"I won't let that happen," Mike said.

"Neither will I," Dusk said. "If he hurts any one of those kids I'll rip him apart myself."

Jenny had come up behind them and approached cautiously. "What can we do to help?"

Marianna came towards her taking both her hands. "Stay here and take care of Dora."

"But we can help," Jenny protested.

"Jen, I need you to stay here and look after things. Besides, I don't want anything to happen to you. Please promise me."

"Okay," Jenny said. She walked back into the living room as the three adults walked out. "How's Dora?"

"I'm fine," she said, attempting to sit up. "So what are going to do?"

"Do?" Denny asked. "You're going to relax and get your strength back."

"But my brother is in danger," Dora said, sitting all the way up now. "And so are Millie, Cree and Reese. Are we just going to sit here and do nothing?"

"Of course not," Jenny said.

"So what did MJ tell us to do?" Denny asked.

"Stay here," Jenny said. There was a gleam in her eye that told Denny she had no intention of doing that."

"Hey, Jen, what are you up to?" Denny asked.

"Just formulating a little rescue mission of our own," she said smirking.

"Great," Dora said. "The sooner the better."

"Wait a minute, you two," Denny said. "I thought you said that M.J. told us to stay here."

"So when do we ever do what we're told?" Jenny asked. She looked over at Dora. "Are you sure you're up for this?"

"Sure," Dora said. "Let's go."

The girls started to walk out with Denny trailing behind. He groaned a little but secretly he was looking forward to mixing it up.

Meanwhile, Cree and Reese remained in the room while they watched and waited for someone to come through the door. Cree was shaking a little but managed to keep her cool. The door slowly opened and Reese eyed a boy around his age coming through. He was shocked to see the apparent wound on his face.

"Faigon!" the boy shouted. He looked to his left. Reese was staring right at him.

"I'll handle this," Reese said as he made a beeline towards Charlie. "You son of a bitch!" he shouted, slamming Charlie into the wall. "I'll kill you!"

"Reese, no!" Cree shouted.

"Better listen to your little girlfriend," Charlie said and ported out of his grip. He reappeared behind Reese turning the tables on him and slamming him into the floor.

"Charlie, stop it," Cree shouted coming towards him. He disappeared again and reappeared across the room. He was laughing at her, making her more angry than scared. "That won't work. Leave Reese alone. Your feud is with me."

Reese sat up on the floor with Cree next to him. "What's this all about?"

Charlie ported again, this time right next to Reese and Cree. "Didn't you tell your little boyfriend about us, Cree? All those great times we had."

"What's he talking about?" Reese asked.

"Nothing," Cree said. "It was a long time ago."

Charlie grabbed a hold of Cree and threw her across the room. Reese rose to his feet and grabbed onto Charlie from behind. Cree scrambled to her feet but only made it half way. Reese was losing control as he continually punched Charlie, leaving him beaten and bloodied. Cree glanced up and looked into Reese's eyes. She noticed something different about them. They started to change. Once a natural soft brown they took on a more animalistic tone. It almost scared her. She saw him losing control which was something he never did. She called out his name which brought him back to his senses. He looked over at her, and she saw that had turned back to normal.

"Reese, are you okay?" she asked.

"Yeah," he said still a little disoriented. "Why?"

She looked down at the floor then up at him a again. "No reason." She shrugged off her fear as just hallucination. "So, what are we going to do?"

"Simple," he said and took her hand. "Let's get out of here." He led her out of the door and into the hallway.

On the other side of this secret torture chamber Millie awakened to find herself bound to a bed. There were metal restraints on her hands blocking her powers. She struggled to break free, but it was no use. She could barely move in the little square room she was imprisoned in. She heard a noise coming from the door. Her temper flared thinking that it was probably one of their captors. She looked up to see a boy about seventeen. He had sandy blonde hair that went just past his shoulders. It was tied back. He wore a black leather jacket with black jeans and a plain black T-shirt. He approached her and began undoing the restraints.

Before he had time to react she punched him in the face. "How dare you!" she shouted at him. He fell to the floor doubled over in pain.

"Why the hell did you do that for?" he cried out.

"Why do you think?" she said and kicked him in the stomach.

He cried out in pain while rolling away from her. "You coward," she said, coming towards him. She slammed him up against the wall. "Now, where's Jordon?"

"Let go of me, and I'll explain," he said.

She calmed down a little while releasing him but never took her eyes off him once. "Fine," she said. "You got thirty seconds."

"My name is Aaron Miller, Milandra." She gave him a dirty look for using her full name. "And I'm not the enemy," he continued. "I'm here to shut down this operation."

"Oh, really," she said. "Is that why you stole my powers?"

"I didn't steal them," Aaron said. "I only nullified them."

"Why do that if you're such a good guy?"

"I had to make it look good in front of the head honcho."

"And who's that?" Millie asked, still skeptical.

"You don't want to know," Aaron said. He stayed silent for a moment then said. "So are you going to help me, or do I have immobilize you?"

"You wouldn't dare," she fired at him. "I'm only interested in finding Jordon and my friends."

"I'll help you, but you have to help me." She thought for a moment. "Please."

"Okay, fine," Millie said. "But watch your step, or I'll kick your ass again."

"Fine, but there something I have to ask," Aaron said.

"What?"

"How were you able to do that without your powers?" Aaron asked her as they left the room.

Millie just groaned and walked on ahead of him.

With the kids trapped in the underground lab Fanta, Mike and Dusk form an escape plan, but do they know that Jenny, Denny and Dora followed them. Here's the explosive finale. Hope you enjoy.
