RILEY'S POV

"Riley? That is your name right?"

"Yes."

"Your brother told me what happened to your family. I think I can help you with that. Gather your family together."

Oh my marbles! Shadow owns a radio and we can try channel it to a nearby boat or plane. I've never been so happy before.

My dad is working on it with Shadow while the rest of us go back to the beach and start a fire so when help comes they'll see the smoke and know where we are.

"Justin, Riley go get some wood for the fire."

Leaving our bags behind we head off into the jungle where we kept the wood. We kept in the jungle instead of the beach because we didn't want the tide to take the wood away.

"Hey Riley can you believe we're finally getting off this island. We've been here for a whole month already."

"Don't get your hopes up yet bro, we don't know if dad can contact any help."

Third Person pov

Riley and Justin remove the bushes covering the wood but also they unaware of the snake laying there, bump him with a log.

His piercing yellow eyes open, and targets the culprit.

Justin grabs what he can and waits for Riley.

"Go on ahead. I'm coming." Riley says. The snake hides behind one of pieces of wood. The exact same piece of wood that Riley picks up.

When Riley turns away, the snake lunges forward, gripping her ankle with his mouth. Riley screams in pain, dropping all the wood on the ground.

Upon hearing her screams, Justin runs back only to see a snake wrapping itself around his sister's leg. He quickly grabs a big rock and starts stabbing the snake with it.

Unfortunately, in the process of saving his sister, he too is bitten.

A hero hears their cries and comes to the rescue. Gripping the snake, our hero successfully pulls it off. Once the snake is away, Justin is able to get up and take his sister with him.

Riley's pov

My ankle is covered in blood. The pain in my ankle is spreading throughout my leg. It feels like a group of fire ants is crawling inside my leg biting me everywhere.

"Terry, Riley's been bitten by a snake." Terry comes up to us and forcefully takes me out of Justin's hold. Mom also comes and helps Justin. Terry lays me down and that's all I remember before I black out.

Terry's pov

"We should take them to Shadow." Mom wraps Justin's arm around her neck, then she slides her arm around his waist and helps him walk to Shadow's village.

I pick up Riley bridal style and run ahead of my mom and brother. Even though Justin was bitten he isn't having the same issues as Riley. Her bite must be way more severe than his.

"Shadow, Riley has been bitten by a snake. Can you help her?" Shadow has us follow her to the medical hut.

A beautiful young girl who looked to be around my age comes out and holds the door open for me. A guy similar in features to her gently lifts Riley from my arms. Before he leaves I grab onto his shirt and pull him forward just a tad bit.

"That's my baby brother and sister your about to take care of. I promise you if something happens to them I will end you." I release him and he heads inside with my mom following closely behind.

*sighs* Now we wait....
