joulo ↭ paula

On Paula's second day at Landgraab High, she was filled with joy and anticipation.

However, she realized that the school was not in sight. Despite this, Paula remained calm and continued on her way.

Unfortunately, Paula stumbled and fell hard on the pavement. Indeed, she had taken her medication, she found that she was too weak to stand up.

It was then that it crossed her mind that the cause of her weakness - was the sun. It was overheating her, with her weak immune system this just made it difficult for her to move.

As the music from Joulo's black tinted Ferrari blasted, Matthew sat at the passenger's seat while Shawn and James sat in the back.

Speeding down the road, they caught sight of a figure on the sidewalk. Joulo slowed the car at the flash of pink.

❝ Hey, isn't that Pau-pau? ❞ James shouted as he recognized her.

Joulo quickly stop the car, and James jumped out to approach her. As the group surrounded her, they asked Paula what had happened. She gave a small smile and shook her head, indicating that she was okay.

Without a word, Joulo gently lifted her up and placed her in the back seat, sandwiched between James and Shawn.

Concerned for Paula's well being, Matthew suggested ❝ Should we take her to the hospital? ❞

Joulo volunteered to take her himself, ❝ I'll take her, there's no point to go there altogether, I'll drop you off at the school. ❞

James, however, made a stupid comment about Joulo's intentions, which provoked Joulo's anger. ❝ Joulo, you're going to mate with her? I don't want you to do that to her! She's innocent and pure! ❞

❝ Shut up,❞ he replied.

❃ ❃ ❃

Upon the arrival of the car, a swarm of excited girls quickly formed, chanting the names of the Audeux band members. James, Shawn and Matthew went down from the vehicle, finding themselves amidst the crowd of fans who were all trying to get for their attention.

Even with the overwhelming excitement, the band members pushed through the crowd with the help of their bodyguards, attempting to make their way to inside the school unharmed.

However, the girls weren't holding back, grabbing at their clothing and fighting each other just to get closer to their idols. Thankfully, the school security were able to intervene and kept everyone safe.

Marielle was among of those screaming girls, her voice was not even heard. But her excitement abruptly turned to jealousy as she caught a glimpse of Paula in the car. She undoubtedly knew that it was Paula. Marielle's anger boiled over and she was ready to tear Paula apart.

As the car drove away, the girls slowly dispersed. Some still lingered, hoping for a second glance at the Audeux band members, while others went back to their daily school routine, their excitement slowly fading with each passing moment.

❝I find it hard to believe that he would do something like that to Paula, ❞ Shawn said in response to James' previous statement.

❝ What's your perspective, Shawn? I understand you're intelligent, but I respectfully disagree,❞ James voiced, knowing that he knew Joulo's personality.

❝ Consider this for a moment, mate. If he truly had ulterior motives to have sex with her, he wouldn't be doing this much effort and going out of his way to help her. Have you ever seen Joulo to pull over in the middle of nowhere, drop us off, and then drive her to the hospital? It simply not him,❞ Shawn said with a hint of frustration. Matthew turned to James, who seemed puzzled and showed no response.

❝ I have my doubts about Joulo's intentions. I mean, does he really need to go to such lengths for Paula?❞ Matthew voiced his suspicions.

❝What do you think he's up to?❞ James asked, looking even more dumbedfounded. Both Matthew and Shawn remained silent, unable to respond.

❝Hey, ease up, man. Maybe Joulo has a crush on Paula,❞  Matthew explained, giving James a smack in the head.

James rubbed his head, looking bewildered. ❝ But I thought he was into Jamie,❞ he protested.

❝I don't know, man. Love is complicated,❞  Shawn shrugged and gestured for them to move on. ❝Come on, let's not waste time speculating.❞

As they walked away, James hurried to catch up with them. ❝ Wait up, guys! And for the record, hitting me won't make me smarter,❞  he grumbled.

Joulo gently lifted Paula out of the car, like princess carried her in his arms like a delicate flower.

The nurse at the emergency reception greeted them with a flush of embarrassment with a blush on her cheeks as her gaze locked onto Joulo.

❝ Good day, how may I assist you today?❞ she asked, trying to maintain her professional composure.

❝ I have a young woman here who seems to be in a weak condition,❞ Joulo replied, his voice calm and steady as he carried Paula towards the nearest vacant bed. The nurse followed them and she glanced at Paula's ashen complexion and shallow breathing, her eyes widen with concern.

❝ Doctor Rose, is this the patient you mentioned?❞ the nurse called out to a renowned doctor walking by in the hallway. Doctor Rose was an expert in her field, known for her herbal treatments and remarkable success rates.

Joulo's attention drifted to a woman running towards them. Doctor Rose's eyes lit up with recognition as she approached them. ❝ Yes, that's her. How is she doing, nurse?❞ she asked, assessing Paula's vital signs.

❝ Paula!❞ she exclaimed, tears of relief and joy streaming down her face. Joulo watched silently as they hugged, trying to make sense of the scene.

Eventually, Doctor Rose led him to her clinic and placed Paula on a bed with care. She examined Paula and asked Joulo what had happened.

❝ I found her lying on the sidewalk when I was driving to school with my friends,❞ Joulo explained what happened. Rose nodded, murmuring to herself as she noticed Paula's skin condition.

❝ Paula, You know better than to walk outside in this weather without any protection. Why would you do that? ❞ she scolded Paula.

Paula apologized, and Rose gave her a cream to apply while Joulo observed her treatment.

Rose told Joulo that Paula had sensitive skin and a weak immune system, and he nodded, not wanting to pry further.

Joulo asked if he could take Paula with him to school, and Rose nodded.

After they successfully applied the cream on Paula's skin and advising her to be careful. Paula got up, waved goodbye to Rose, who hugged her and reminded her to be a good student.

As they walked out of the hospital, Joulo told Paula that he helped her out not because he liked her, but to repay her kindness from when he stayed at her house. Paula smiled, she was truly grateful for his help.

When Joulo and Paula arrived at school it was utterly quiet since classes had already started. They walked briskly to Joulo's classroom, with Paula trailing behind him, trying to avoid eye contact with anyone.

Joulo turned the doorknob and entered, followed by Paula. The teacher stopped teaching, the students gasped at Joulo's presence, and the teacher looked at them both.

❝ Why are you two so late? It's been more than half an hour already,❞ the teacher said, sounding annoyed. Paula tried to hide behind Joulo, feeling embarrassed and out of place. Joulo said nothing, ignoring the teacher as he walked to his seat, a typical bad boy move.

Meanwhile, Paula stared at the teacher, trying to apologize for their tardiness before taking a seat beside Joulo.

❝ Pau-pau, are you okay?❞James asked, his face looming in front of hers. Paula smiled and nodded.

❝ So, what did the doctor say?❞ Matthew asked Joulo, curious about their adventure to the hospital. ❝ She's very sensitive to the sun,❞ Joulo replied, keeping it brief and straightforward.

The three boys nodded and sat back, listening to the teacher. Paula followed suit, trying to focus on the lesson at hand, eager for the class to be finished.

When the bell finally rang, James asked if they should walk Paula to her next class, to which she shook her head. But James insisted, pulling her up from her seat and making her walk with them again.

As they walked beside Paula, she could feel the intensity of glares on her, noticing students whispering and staring at her as if she was the center of attention. She tried to smile, grateful for the support of her friends.

Jamie, on the other hand, was fuming. ❝ Sweetie, I heard you were late to school with this garbage,❞ she said, looking very angry.

❝ Wow. Rumors spread so damn fast,❞ James said, annoyed. Matthew told him to shut up, sensing the tension building up.

❝ What happens between me and her has nothing to do with you, so just back off, ❞ Joulo said in a cold tone, making Jamie feel as though she was stabbed through the heart.

❝ Joulo, why are you talking to me that way? Did that bitch brainwash you or something? ❞ Jamie said, crying her eyes out now.

Paula remained silent, feeling bad about the whole situation. She had no idea what triggered Jamie's anger and jealousy towards her.

Then Jamie turned to Paula, giving her the coldest look she could do.

Jamie walked up to Paula while everyone watched and said, ❝ I'll warn you now, he's mine. Don't try touching something that isn't yours, you filthy tramp.❞

She was about to slap Paula, who shut her eyes, waiting for the pain. But there was no pain.

When Paula opened her eyes, she saw Joulo's hand stopping Jamie from slapping her. ❝ What goes on between me and her doesn't involve you, and what happens between me and you doesn't involve her, ❞ Joulo said, glaring at Jamie. She was frightened, realizing that Joulo had never treated her this way.

Joulo quickly let go of his hand and reached for Paula's, leading her towards their class. Jamie was left standing alone in the middle of the hallway, ashamed.

❝ You're going to regret doing that, ❞ Jamie called out to Joulo and tried to grab his attention. Joulo simply ignored her words and continued walking.

As they finally arrived, Paula nodded her thanks and quickly entered the classroom.
