Personality: Carmen is a very bubbly, open, warm, and kind individual. She always has a nice word for you when you need it, or a shoulder to cry on, or a hug to give. She does her best to listen when people need it, offering advice if they wish for it, or just being there for them, in whatever way they need. She herself is very affectionate, physical touch and words of affirmation are certainly her love languages. She is understanding and does her best to see things from all perspectives, and rather talks issues out than broil in them. She hates violence, she doesn't understand it or see the point in it. She is very open with her own emotions and will tell you when you upset her, in an attempt to communicate. That doesn't mean that she herself doesn't at times bottle things up, especially if she knows sharing her thoughts, feelings, or emotions will hurt or upset someone, and so she fails to take her own advice. She understands other people's issues and emotions better than she understands her own, and so often puts her own needs and support last. She is much like her eldest sister, Amélie, in that way. She is a great friend to have, and is incredibly trusting. She aims to see the best in people, always, and sometimes needs a reality check.

Backstory: Carmen, unlike her three older half-siblings, grew up in Puerto Rico rather than Haiti, and moved to Texas to join her family when she was six years old, which was the first time she ever spent any long-term time with her siblings. Up until that point, she'd only met them a couple times in person, and most of their communication was done through letters and phone calls. The siblings share a father, but not a mother, and only moved to Texas after her mother passed away. She was the result of an affair, and though there were issues caused in her father's marriage, he ultimately stayed with his wife and not her mother. However, once things were reconciled, the family of three parents found their flow, burying their animosity for the sake of the kids. When her mother passed away, her family had lived in Texas for about two months, and because she had no other family in Puerto Rico, she moved to Texas. She was shy at first, but that didn't stop her from getting to know her siblings, who took to her quite quickly. It was hard not to, with her energy and warmth. Plus, she was adorable. Amélie in particular became very protective of her. School wasn't difficult to adjust to, being so young. She was in first grade, and it didn't take long to make friends. Though Carmen still misses her mother to this day, she absolutely adores and loves her family.

Other: Her first languages are Spanish and English, and she has the smallest of accents when she speaks English, and later learned Haitian Creole when she moved in with her family
