"Hello" I say answering Clementines phone.

"Uhh im looking for Clementine Willows" the man on the other end of the line says.

"This is Jaden, she asked me to answer for her since shes driving" I reply.

"I'm calling on behalf of The Dallas Police Department, she is on a list of people to call in case of an incident involving Safe Haven Horse Ranch" the guy says on the other end of the line.

"Clem pull over" I say as she pulls to the side of the rode.

I put the phone on speaker.

"We are currently working with the ranch and the fire department to work on putting out a brush fire that started near the property, in which is growing and becoming out of control" he says when Clementine decides to speak.

"I'm on the next flight out" she says as we drive off to our houses.

When we arrive Clementine heads straight into her own house, to I assume start packing.

"Hey I just got a call from Forest, I was wondering if you guys would all come with me to Texas to help out Clem, and her family. A fire is threatening the Ranch her parents run, either way I'm going." Griffin says walking into the living room starting to pace back and forth where we had all gathered.

"I'm in" I say looking towards the others searching for their answers.

"I'm down" Anthony says as the rest start agreeing, well except for Kio, he's in his room.

We all head off to quickly pack bags.

"We are coming with you" Griffin says the six of us, Griffin, Bryce, Anthony, Quintion, Josh, and I, walk into Clementines bedroom with our suitcases.

"You dont have to, its gonna get dangerous, I dont want any of you guys getting hurt" Clementine says walking into her closet.

"We already booked our flights, we aren't staying here, we want to help, and are going no matter what you say" Bryce says crossing his arms.

"Fine. When's your flight" she asks not arguing.

"2 hours" I reply.

"Cool I'll pick you up then, mines in thirty, so I gotta go" she says as she heads out the door.

- Clementine Willows -

My plane has landed and I'm on my way to meet up with my mom and dad before coming back to pick up the boys.

"Honey it's so good to see you, wish it were under better circumstances" my mom says hugging me.

"Any damage to the property yet?" I ask concerned for the safety of the horses my family had worked so hard to rescue and help.

"We think it'll hit the south far fence within a few hours, we are working to find a way to contain those horses but until that we have to pray it doesnt hit the fence" my father replies.

"I'll be back with the boys, then I'll go have a look and see how far out it is" I say hopping in the truck.

I throw on my stressed playlist and drive off towards the airport.

Soon enough I pull up and wait, hopping out to sit in the back and working on my knots, from what I heard we are going to be doing a lot of it with the lead ropes.

"Thank you again so much for coming I really appreciate you guys coming to help my family" I say hugging all the boys.

"Your my best friend I love you" Griffin says as we hop into the car and start the drive to the ranch, I of course made Griffin drive.

"This wasnt how I thought I'd meet your parents" Jaden whispers in my ear, sending shivers down my spine.

"Well cowboy, they'll love ya, aslong as you dont cause anyone to get hurt, and do as your told" I whisper back.

"Griffin how nice to see you son, thank you for coming down to help us, we really appreciate it" my mom River says as they embrace one another in a hug.

"I'm headed to check the far south fence in the side by side, should be back within a half hour" I say as I throw on one of Jadens hoodies.

"I'll come with you" Jaden says as we head into the barn.

"What do we need in here" he asks as I grab all the halters from the hook that says the southern squang

Yes you read that right.

My brother Oliver named the quadrants in the tack room when we were younger, my parents just went along with it.

"The southern squang, I like it" Jaden says as I laugh a little.

"It was Oliver" I say as I shove the halters into my backpack.

"Is that it" Jaden asks as I grab a bunch of lead ropes.

"Grab the ropes from the bottom drawer" I say pointing to a cabinet, before we head out.

Jaden and I are sat in the side by side as I look through a pair of binoculars.

"Weve got an two hours possibly, maybe more till it hits the southern fence" I say through a radio.

"Rodger that clem, see ya when you get back" a familiar voice says back.

CAN'T BE. WE HAVEN'T TALKED IN FOREVER

When we get back we see Griffin and Bryce struggling to set up a tent.

"Boys I need you" I shout as we get out of the side by side.

"We gotta go bring the horses in the southern field in now, the fire is speeding up. They are gonna hold it off as long as possible" my dad says rushing over to us, before we all run to the field.

When we get there I drop my backpack and start unpacking the halters.

"Doesn't matter what halter goes on what horse right now Ce just get them on and outta here" my mom says grabbing a few halters from the pile and calling some of the horses over.

Clementine - when I was about six or seven I fell in love for the first time. It was with a young horse named Jonah. That love spread threw my family and we founded a ranch, Safe Haven Horse Ranch, where we would take in often abused and mistreated horses, other times owners just couldn't care for them anymore.

- Clementine - most of these beautiful souls we care for have come from hell like places. Often they come to us on the brink of dying from starvation, so before you go and hate on something that can't stand up for itself, do a little self reflection.
