Nerd
A/N- I might change my writing layout styles. Enjoy. I'm going on a boating picnic tomorrow so I'll probably be writing a lot. I finished Another today. Damn. That shits fucked.
STORY STARTS---
[Time Skip to The Next Day Around Lunch at School]
You walked over to an empty table with your tray. God I wish today was another snow day. Armin came and sat down across from you. You grabbed your sandwich and took a bite.
"Can I stay over tonight?"
You asked between miniature sized bites.
"Yeah, why?"
"You know... we still need to talk."
Armin could feel a knot in his throat begin to evolve. He had hoped you had forgotten about it. But you sadly for him, didn't.
"Could we please just not?..."
"No. You promised."
"I know but.... Y/N it's just not really something I want to talk about."
"I know but you'll feel better once it's off your chest. Besides I'm not going to judge you."
"Yeah but... I don't know. I don't see any reason to talk about it. Like what would you even ask? Did I read it? Yes. Did I enjoy it? Maybe. Conversation over."
Armin declared angrily. He was frustrated and felt like you wanted to humiliate him.
"Thats not it Armin. We'll continue this later."
Armin got up and threw out his food. You quickly finished and threw yours away.
"Whats wrong?"
"Nothing. I'm just not that hungry."
He grumpily replied. RIIINNNGGG!!!! The bell rang, saying that it was now 6th period.
"I'll see you later Armin."
Armin didn't respond; only a small wave back. I've clearly pissed him off. It's a bit weird seeing him all moody. He's usually so timid. I hope I haven't totally screwed things up.
[Time Skip To Dinner That Night at Armin's House]
Tonight we had pizza. Armin's mother was tired from a long day at work and didn't feel like cooking. You grabbed your plate and sat down at the kitchen table. Armin sat drearily across from you with his mother. She brushed away his bangs and felt his forehead.
"You look a bit sick. You okay? Did you take your pills?"
"Stop."
He swatted away her hand.
"Don't pick another fight."
He ended saying. His mom looked at you with a what the hecks with him look. You shrugged your shoulders and continued eating. Moments later Armin finished and put his plate on the counter. He ran upstairs into his room. You sat there eating in silence.
"I don't understand why he's so stubborn about taking his damn pills. If he doesn't then he'll get this way."
His mother hissed.
"W-what pills?"
You interrogated. Honestly he had never talked about them. The last time you heard about his medicines was when you first had dinner here. After that it hadn't been brought up again until now.
"He takes anti-depressants and weight gaining pills- well, he's supposed too. He hasn't for the past while and it worries me. I don't want him getting bad again."
"What do you mean getting bad?"
"A while back before we moved here he had an incident. He hadn't been diagnosed with depression or anything so we couldn't get any pills. He tried jumping off the porch of our apartment. We were 23 stories up, so if I didn't get him in time he would of died."
Wow. I can't believe I never knew about this. There's so much about him that I don't know. I just want to know how he feels. I want to understand his emotions. I don't want him feeling... sad.
"Oh... I-I didn't know that... that's terrible."
"Mmm, it was."
She took another bite of her pizza. You got up and put your plate on the counter.
"Go see what he's up to."
His mother said as you walked by.
"Y-yeah... I am."
You jogged up the stairs to his room. The door was closed. You knocked.
"Can I come in?"
"Sure..."
You opened the door, walked inside, and closed it behind yourself. Armin was laying in bed koalaing (bear hugging with arms and legs) a pillow. You sat down beside him and rubbed his arm.
"You okay?"
"Eh... I'm fine."
"You sure?"
"Yeah... thanks."
"...you wanna talk about it?"
"Can we wait until my mom goes to sleep?"
"Sure."
He seemed like he was in a more cooperative mood. Maybe he just needed some time alone.
"Does your mom know I'm staying over tonight?"
"No. Gotta still tell her. She won't care."
"Okay..."
You lay down beside him and twirled his hair.
"If you ever need to talk about anything come to me. I'll always be here for you."
"Thanks..."
"I know it's hard to express your feelings to someone else sometimes, but please, feel comfortable around me."
"I am..."
"Good. I'm glad."
There was a sudden knock on the door interrupting the moment. Armin's mother walked in. You got up and moved to the end of the bed. His mom came over and sat where you were previously.
"I came to say sorry."
She told him lovingly.
"For what?"
"For talking about your meds and stuff. She knows about it all so it doesn't matter now."
"Mom!?"
Armin yelled pulling the covers over his head.
"What? She was going to find out sooner or later!"
"Or never! God! You're so embarrassing!"
Armin's mother let out a sigh and got up.
"Sorry."
She said beginning to walk out.
"U-uh... I'm staying over tonight- if you don't mind?"
You put in.
"It's fine. You can stay over whenever Y/N. You're always welcome here. There's no need to ask."
She said before closing the door behind herself. You moved back up the top of the bed and got underneath the covers with Armin.
"Hey."
You cooed. He didn't respond.
"Don't be like that. Armin I'm not going to coddle you because you have problems. We all have them okay. Don't think that this changes things."
"It won't change anything?"
"Nope."
Armin brought up his hand and stuck out his pinky finger.
"Pinky promise?"
You latched your pinky onto his and shook your hand up and down.
"Promise."
