Carousel - KakaNaru
Round and round like a horse on a carousel, we go,
Will I catch up to love? I could never tell, I know,
Chasing after you is like a fairytale, but I,
Feel like I'm glued on tight to this carousels
Naruto sat on bench swing in front of his house, not wanted to be inside at the moment as his god parents and parents had gotten into a silly argument over something he didn't know. He felt like this is how it would always at home, either his parents fighting over nothing, him being ignored, or some other thing. He felt glued on a spinning carousel, and that he would never get off it. He didn't have the guts to run away, as he loved his parents dearly still. Leaving wouldn't do anything good as he would be alone.
He sighed heavily and looked around the front yard. Roses of red and yellow where located along the fences, with a cherry blossom tree on the right side corner. The grass was trimmed and a nice green, and the drive way was beside the garden. The family Lexus was in the driveway with a few stickers of a family of foxes, and leaves and other things. He kept looking around when he saw a man with gravity defying silver grey hair that was bent to the left and perked up. He wore a white button up shirt, black jeans, black overalls, and black boots. His left eye was closed with a scar over it.
Naruto sprung up and looked at the man. He didn't know him, and he didn't look like one of his dad's friends. The whiskered boy walked down the porch, through the little white gate and to the man.
Come, come one, come all,
You must be this tall
To ride this ride at the carnival
As he approached man, he noticed his gaze never leaving him, nor the stranger's leaving him. Though he wouldn't admit it, this man was built great and looked incredible handsome with the sun, wind, and meadow in perfect sync. It made him think of prince from a fairy tale. Finally, he made it to the the strange with silver hair.
"Umm..hello? Can I help you?" The blonde asked, trying to look tough.
"I'm sorry, but I heart yelling while I was walking and I came to see if something was wrong." His voice was enough to make Naruto's heart stop but his words cause him to but his lips. He hadn't realized how loud the fighting was inside. It was probably because he was just so used to it.
"Yea....sorry about that...it's nothing. Don't worry about." The reply was a lie, but he masked it with a smile. It didn't work as planned.
"You know, if that was true, those people wouldn't be storming out of the house." Naruto look and say that it Tsunade and Jiriya. He sighed heavily, then turned back to see the man still there. "I'm Kakashi by the way. Mind if I come by tomorrow?"
"Sure...I'm Naruto." He smiled softly at Kakashi as they shook hand.
"Bye, Naruto." With that Kakashi walked off and Naruto headed back inside.
Oh, come, take my hand
And run though playland
So high, too high at the carnival
The next few days we're of them getting to know each other, and meeting up. They loved everyone moment, and it let Naruto get out of the house. His parents kept on fighting and going through the cycle of his house; fighting, ignoring him, lovey-dovey and a bunch of other crap. Being with Kakashi just helped him. It was peaceful. Something Naruto really needed.
As they kept meeting up together, Naruto found himself falling in love. He didn't know is Kakashi has the same feelings, but he didn't want to risk it. He was afraid of his reaction, like he grown to be from his parents. He didn't know what to expect. So he kept it too himself.
"Penny for yours thoughts, Naruto?" Kakashi spoke, pulling Naruto from his thoughts. They were sitting under an apple tree, leaning against. Naruto shook his head and grinned his toothy grin.
"Why would you want to know?" Kakashi rolled his eyes and chuckled.
"You where spacing out, so I wondered." Naruto laughed and sat up. He gazed at Kakashi and smiled again. He laid back and closed his eyes.
And it's all fun and games,
'Til somebody falls in love,
But you've already bought a ticket,
And there's no turning back now
Round and round like a horse on a carousel, we go,
Will I catch up to love? I could never tell, I know,
Chasing after you is like a fairytale, but I,
Feel like I'm glued on tight to this carousel
It had been almost a month since then, and Naruto's feeling kept growing the more he was with Kakashi. There was his home though, and the more he was in it the more scared he grew. They kept on fighting, and not noticing him. His god parents had decided to take custody of his as well so there was battle in courts for that. No one even bothered to ask him what he wanted. And there was only one thing the blonde wanted; to stay with Kakashi.
He kept the relationship from his parents. Kakashi was so special and important. He knew as well that if he spoke, his father would make sure he knew everything of Kakashi, claiming he did it 'for the good of his son'. Bull to Naruto, all of it was. He didn't need his parents anyway. He wanted to run and be with his god parents, but he didn't want to leave Kakashi. So he was torn between what he needed, and what he wanted.
He wanted to speak it out but he couldn't. He wanted to decide it all on his own what he really needed to do. It kept him up at night, so he had some pretty dark bags under his eyes. Kakashi asked many, many, many time what was the cause, but the blonde wouldn't budge. He was like an unbreakable wall, which wasn't normal.
This horse is too slow,
We're always this close,
Almost, almost, we're a freakshow
Right, right when I'm near,
It's like you disappeared,
Where'd you go? My dear, you're a freakshow!
And it's all fun and games,
'Til somebody falls in love,
But you've already bought a ticket,
And there's no turning back now
Kakashi grew worried of Naruto. He would pass out when they were lazing under the try, met up with dark bags under his eyes, and tended to space out. He knew something was going on at his home, but he didn't know what, and he really wanted to know. He wanted to help his little blonde.
Yes, his.
Kakashi grew attached to to Naruto very much. You could say, it was love. That's the word that would fit his feelings perfectly, but, he was kinda scared to admit it. He was 5 years older then the blonde, so it could throw off the blonde. He hoped it didn't though. He wanted Naruto to be happy and this huge ball of sunshine he normally was. Seeing Naruto the way he was now just hurt him.
"That's it," he thought aloud as he sat up from his bed, "I'm going to see how Naruto's life is at home. He never wants to go home, and is so tiredly lately. I need to help him." He got off his bed and went to get his got. He new where the house was by heart, since it was where he and Naruto always met up. He made sure he had his keys, book and flash light as it was pretty late at night. Not liked he cared, he need to check on Naruto. If his life at home was good, his parents wouldn't care. But. He was able to tell if someone was faking it.
That's why he was valedictorian at his Highschool when he graduated. He was very thought, but he just wanted a simple life so he did online collage. That way he could get his schoolwork down but still be in the country. The country was very relaxing anyway. Back to the matter at hand though, he was stressed. He didn't show it though as he was walking hurriedly to the house of Naruto Uzumaki-Namikaze.
He felt he needed to hurry, so he ran. It only took 30 mins, till he got up to the white picket fences, two story home. Opening the gate, he grew nervous of what he would find out. When he got to the door, he hesitated, but knocked. After a minute a two, the door swung open.

Chasing after you is like a fairytale, but I,

Why did you steal my cotton candy heart?
You threw it in this damn coin slot,
And now I'm stuck, I'm stuck
Riding, riding, riding
There, standing in the door way, was a fiercely looking bright red head standing at the door. She looked so angry, but instantly turned into a smile. Kakashi looked in the back and say a bright blonde fixing himself to look natural. The hair reminding him of Naruto. He looked back the woman, and put on a smile.
"Hello, is Naruto here?" As Kakashi tilted his head, he heard a soft sobbing coming from the kitchen. Naruto...he thought to himself. He's life his horrible here...his parents must fight constantly and nat care for him. He looked back at the woman who was trying to keep a smile.
"And, who are you?" She asked sternly. Kakashi just smiled softly again.
"I'm his friend, Kakashi Hatake." The man, who he assuming was Naruto father, walked up.
"He's busy." The man spoke out. Kakahi kept his smile and closed his eyes.
"Oh? Then why did I see him peeking from the stairs?" Both parents froze, telling him to wait a minute, then headed upstairs. No waiting another moment, the silver haired male ran in, heading to the kitchen where in an instant, he spotted Naruto sobbing silently against the cupboard. Without hesitating, he picked him up princess style and ran out the house.
"That wasn't a good environment for him, so the sooner I got him out, the better." Kakashi thought to himself, as ran to there spot. Once there, Kakashi sat and just held Naruto, rocking him.
That what Naruto needed, just to be held and rocked. His parents had broke out in a huge fight again, so when he tried to intervene he was whacked across the face by his father and yelled at. Just being in someone's arm, anyone's at the matter, would help him. Kakashi helped the most though.
He looked up at Kakashi, who took his hand, and risked his cheek. Naruto couldn't stop crying though, he hated holding everything in. So, Kakashi kept kissing his cheeks and wiping his tears away and whispering sweet nothings into the younger one's ears, that truly helped him calm down to where they could talk.
"S-sorry..." He made out. Kakashi just shook his head.
"No. Don't be...you needed to do this. I'm glad I could help. But, you need to be in a better home." Kakashi regretted it, but it was true.
"T-they only p-people who would take me i-in is my godparents...and they live in the city...so I wouldn't be able to see you." Kakashi's heart broke, but Naruto needed to go.
"Then go. We can keep in contact and you can visit in the summer." Naruto broke into tears again but nodded, this time planting his lips on Kakashi's. It was sweet, blissful and romantic, but, it was also painful.

It was now time for Naruto to leave and live with god parents. His parents had been deemed unfit and lost custody over him. As over joyed as Naruto was to leave, his sadness was too great. He didn't want to leave this place, or Kakashi. But he knew he had too. Kakashi pushed him to as week, reassuring they would keep in contact and see each other again.
As Kakashi helped load up the trunk of the 4Runner, Naruto watched him. His godfather was grateful of the help since he had just dislocated his shoulder by reasons untold. Kakashi did it with a smile and finished up, turning to Naruto. He pulled the blonde close and hugged him.
"We will see each other soon and talk ever day over the phone, ok?" Naruto nodded and looked at him.
"Naruto, it's time we leave." His god mother called out from the car. Naruto kissed Kakashi again, before getting in the car and bucking up. He rolled down his window and held his hand out to Kakashi, who held as they backed out. The silver haired male watched them as they drove off into the distance, before walking home.
