Dark: (SNORT!) Huh? What the? Ugh great, back here. And here I thought I was back with Joy.

What's that supposed to mean?

Dark: Managing Izuku's Green Cloud restaurant and also finding the perpetrator.

Perpetrator? Oh, you mean the one hiding his Harem EX skill?

Dark: The Elder chaos god who else d&$@!

(Summons a giant mug for him to drink) Here you go. Hope you like it Dark.

Dark: Sure, who is this time?

Laxus: "WHERE THE HELL AM I!?"

That would be him right now, please welcome the grandson of Makarov and crush of Mirajane, Laxus Dreyar.

Dark: Hah! He has a crush on the She-Devil huh?

I think it's the otherway around I believe. Or both ways. Not sure.

Laxus: "HEY, DON'T TALK ABOUT ME LIKE I'M NOT EVEN HERE!"

Dark: We ain't actually, you're here with us until the end of this scene.

Laxus: "HUH!? WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT YOU BASTARD!?"

(Was holding his ears) Maybe this wasn't such a good idea...

Dark: Ya think?

I thought he'd be mellowed out after what happened, didn't think he was still in his Delinquent Faze.

Laxus: "WHAT DID YOU CALL ME!?"

Dark: Ignoring him for now, let's start the scene shall we?

We still need him to do the disclaimer though.

Laxus: "Disclaimer?" What are you two talking about?"

Dark: Read this.

Laxus: (Takes it) "Uh... 'Light/Xara and Dark do not own Fairy Tail, other media or any of the music used in this story. The only things they do own are the changes and original characters'. What the hell does this mean...?"

Dark: He read it! Onto the scene!

Laxus: "HEY WAIT A MINU-!"

Chapter 10: Sea Shanties to a Cursed Island

Two weeks had passed since the revelations of Lucy's secret was revealed. Natsu and Happy were banned from missions during that time and were forced to work and clean the guild in that time. Erza and Gray were punished less severely, having to help serve Lucy and help her with anything for five days. Lucy, Uta and Kairi went back to finish their Quest... after healing the two employers.

Lucy told everyone about who she was and who her family was. She wanted nothing to do with her 'Father' and wanted to live her life with her new family. Fairy Tail cheered for her, and considered her family already. They did care who her family was, or what they had, Lucy was Lucy to them. Lucy was happy and decided she wouldn't hide her true self anymore. It did help that some of their members were willing to help her out in some songs she wrote.

After that, Natsu and Erza had their match fight, which was interrupted by a messenger from the Magic Counsel who had to bring Erza and Lucy in for questioning. Erza for what happened in the fight with Eisenwald and Lucy being a Bard of Fairy Tail and what she intends to do. Natsu, in all his idiocy, decided to barge into the chamber and made things worse for them. The three were forced to stay overnight. Erza and Lucy were not happy in the least and scolded him for it.

After their return home, one of the wandering members, Mystogan arrived and put everyone, except for a few, asleep. Lucy wasn't affected, surprising the masked man. Lucy then learned about the second level of Fairy Tail and how only S-Class members could go up there. She did wonder if she counted.

Then she was 'visited' by Natsu and Happy that night.... Who had stolen one of the S-Class Quests and wanted her to join them. Lucy had the mind to blast them out of her room, she was so pissed. But they informed her that there was something else for the reward, a Gold Celestial Key.

Now here they were, at the docks to find a boat to take them to Galuna Island, and she was starting to regret this.

"... Why did I allow you two to sway me into this crazy ass skeem of yours again...?" Lucy asked, looking at Natsu and Happy with a deadpan on her face.

"Because you wanted the Gold Celestial Key~" Happy reminded her.

"Ugh! Don't remind me." Lucy sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose.

"You worry too much Luci~ When we finish this mission, we'll be promoted to S-Class for sure~!" Natsu stated, smiling widely.

Lucy gave him a dark aura smile, her fist clenched. "Like how revealing my music to the whole of Fairy Tail would force me to open up to you all...~!?"

Natsu's smile was strained, and he was sweating in fear. "I-It did work though, right Luci...~? Y-You're happier now that you don't have to hide...~"

"A-Aye~!" Happy stuttered out.

"A broken clock is only right twice a day you know..." Lucy said, her aura increasing. "You two are already on thin ice from the stunt you pulled and had to pay for it..! I THOUGHT YOU TWO WOULD HAVE LEARNED BY NOW!"

"B-But how are we going to prove ourselves if Erza isn't willing to take us on S-Class missions...?" Natsu asked, trying to think of something. "S-She's the only one of us on the team that can take them... And don't you want to show that Bards are good if we take on high rank quests like this...?"

Lucy wanted so badly to disagree... but he made a fair argument... Erza was the only one to have access to the second floor, and she did want to make it so Bards were seen in a better light. Divas were already, but she wanted to show that Bards were as well.

"Urge to kill raising with how you can be an idiot one moment and know how to provoke me in the right way to want to agree with you...!" Lucy gritted out through clenched teeth.

Natsu just smiled widely. "I'm just that good at motivating people~!"

Lucy glared at him, pointing a finger at him. "Don't push it...! Or else..!"

Natsu held his hands up in surrender. "Got it! Not pushing it!"

"Aye ma'am."

Lucy let out a long drawn out sigh. "Let us just find a boat and get this over with..."

"Wait, a boat?" Natsu asked, looking scared.

"Uh... Yeah, how else will we get there?" Lucy asked.

Natsu was already looking sick. "Can't we swim there?"

Lucy facepalmed hard. "You are the biggest idiot I have ever known..."

The trio find two boatmen and ask for them to take the trio to Galuna Island. "Galuna Island? No way. Not for a million Jewel."

"Around here, it's bad luck to even mention the name..." The boatmen turned down. The trio try another two boatmen.

"Sorry, kids, but I don't think anyone here would be willing to take you."

"That island's cursed, so unless you've got a death wish, I'd stay far away." The two boatmen also turned down. The trio try another boatman.

"Don't know why you'd want to go there, but no sailor worth his salt is gonna take you to Galuna. Not even pirates will go near that place." The boatman told them.

"Are you serious!?" Lucy exclaimed. She was pulling her hair in annoyance. "At this point we should just head home!"

"But we can't leave!" Natsu stated. "We'll just have to swim-!" He was hit over the head by a guitar Lucy summoned.

"Do you have any idea how long that would be!? And do you even know which direction the island is!?" Lucy admonished him, really getting fed up with him.

"I found you three," came the voice of Gray.

".. And the guild sent someone to find us.... Just great..." Lucy said, sighing. "I'm really starting to see how bad of an idea this was to join you..."

"Nice to see you here Lucy. Let me guess, Natsu convinced you to take a mission which he shouldn't have taken?" Gray asked.

Lucy gave him a flat look. "They told me there'd be a Golden Gate Key as a reward..." she answered, looking done with this already, and they hadn't even gotten to the island.

"The reward is compelling but I'm gonna say this with honesty. You aren't allowed to take a S-Class mission WITHOUT informing the magic council, or having an S-Class Mage with you," Gray informed. "If you come back now, you might avoid getting kicked out of the guild." Gray warned. "Maybe."

Lucy grabbed Natsu by the shoulder, squeezing hard, painfully so. "Natsu...~" Lucy stated, having a sweet tone of voice that was way too sweet, making the Fire Dragon Slayer sweat in fear. "What does Gray mean by 'we'll be kicked out of the Guild'...~?"

The others were shivering at Lucy's tone of voice. Happy was having PTSD from the tone of Lucy's voice.

"Well..........."

"Haven't you forgotten the rules dumbass? You're still an A-Class mage, even if Lucy is a bard who is allowed to take on a S-Class mission. I was lucky I came earlier, if I hadn't then you could kiss your guild mark goodbye."

Lucy blinked after hearing that. "Wait, but I'm not S-Class though. How can I take these kinds of Missions?"

"You have to directly inform the magic council about your status, and give you honorary S-Class status until you are picked for S-Class Exams. Only will they decide on giving you permission to go on a S-Class mission. If you hadn't informed them, even if you're a bard you are still not allowed to go on a S-Class mission."

The three's jaws dropped. "She's/I'm an honorary S-Class!?"

"What's next!?" Lucy asked, furiously scratching her head. "I become a Wizard Saint before Erza?"

"... With how you don't go around blowing up cities on purpose... Unlike a certain Flame Brain over here... You might..." Gray said, making Lucy do an Anime Face Plant.

"... I knew the knowledge of me being a Bard would give me unwanted attention..." Lucy said, crying anime tears. "That's why I made my alter ego..."

"Anyway, Master knew this would happen, I'm here to drag you back to the guild Natsu, whether you like it or not you're coming back with me."

"I don't care. I'm going on this S-Class Quest." Natsu shouted.

"Man, you're way out of your league here." Gray stated. "When Erza finds out about this, she's gonna be so angry..." Gray warned.

"Oh, she doesn't have to worry," Lucy said, cracking her knuckles. "I'll take over her duty for this..."

"Uh, Lucy, remember, there's a Golden Celestial Key waiting for you if you finish this," Natsu reminded her, making her stiffened. "You would want to miss out on the chance to make a new friend that can help you, in both fighting and music."

Lucy wanted, oh she really wanted, to hurt Natsu again. But the chance for a new Key was so tempting.

"Oh, you make it so hard to want to hurt you, you know that...?" Lucy asked, her face scrunched up in unbridled rage.

"Regardless of your reasons, Lucy, Natsu, Master ordered all of us to bring you home. I'll DRAG you back to Fairy Tail if we have to!" Gray declared as he summoned some ice from his hands. "Don't make me hurt you, buddy!"

"I'd like to see you try!" Natsu exclaimed, summoning fire from his hands.

Lucy facepalmed, not liking this at all. "Will you two please not start a fight here...?"

"Hm? Magic? Excuse me, are you two wizards?" The boatman asked, getting everyone's attention. "Have you come to lift the curse on the island?"

"And if we are?" Lucy asked, raising an eyebrow.

"We are," Natsu said.

"Not gonna happen!" Gray snarled. The boatman looked in awe.

"Get in." The man demanded.

"What?" all four asked in shock.

"Alright~! We got our ticket to the island~!" Natsu shouted.

"No way!" Gray shouted. Just then, Natsu got a devil's grin. He then kicked Gray in the face, knocking the Ice Mage out.

He then picked him up, ready to go. "There we go. We're ready when you are sir."

Lucy was behind him, smiling sweaty at him, but had a dark aura around her. "Natsu~ Why did you knock him out~? Also, why are you bringing him with us~?"

Natsu was sweating. "B-Because we can't let him go back and tell the guild..." he answered. "T-They'd send Erza next to bring us back."

"And how is that a problem if you're breaking the rules?! I don't want to lose my guild mark because of you!" Lucy roared at him.

"W-Well we came this far, right?" he asked, sweating in fear. "M-Might as well go all the way...? A-And you wouldn't want to miss out on that Key, right?"

Lucy took a sharp breath... then kicked him onto the boat. "Fine... We'll see this damn thing through, but if we get kicked out, I'm going to seriously punish you for this, understood?" She asked, sounding really upset.

"YES SIR!"

"AYE!" both shouted in fear.

Lucy got on the boat. "You can take us to the island now, sir."

"R-Right..." he said, starting the boat and heading to the cursed island of Galuna.

They had been sailing for a few hours, it was now night time, and the atmosphere was Natsu was really sick from the ride.

"... Now I'm starting to seriously regret going with this plan..." Lucy said, now starting to get worried. She wasn't sure if her powers would work, depending on what they had to face.

"Hey, look on the bright side. At least YOU'RE not the one tied up!" Gray shouted, annoyed, he then looked at the sailor. "This is your fault too, buddy. Why'd you decide to let us on?"

"The name's Bobo. And if you must know, I used to be a citizen of Galuna Island. But I had to flee... I just couldn't take it anymore..." The boatman, now named Bobo, answered. "I should warn you. Tragedy befalls anyone who steps foot on the island. There's no avoiding it, that is, unless you're able to lift the curse." He warned before revealing a demonic left arm, shocking everyone aboard and seeing it. "This vile demon's curse...!"

"Whoa, your arm," Gray said in shock.

"So that must be what would happen to people on the island," Lucy said, shocked.

"You'll see soon enough." He said, then looked in the direction they were heading. "...We're almost there. That's Galuna Island." He pointed to an island with a glowing mountain top.

"Is that... Magic?" Lucy asked, surprised. "There's so much that you can see it glowing..." Just then, Lucy turned to look at Bobo to ask him what that is... only to find that their sailor had vanished. "What the!? Where'd he go!?"

"Did he fall out of the boat?" Gray asked.

"It's like he disappeared into thin air!" Happy exclaimed.

Just then Lucy heard something odd with her hearing. ".. That's strange... What's that noise?"

Gray went to look behind them and was shocked at what he saw. "Uh, Lucy!!!"

"What is it Gra-?" Lucy started to ask, turning to look at him, but wished she hadn't. "ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? A TSUNAMI!!!"

"Now don't panic! Just hold on!" Gray ordered.

"Forget that!" Lucy shouted, cutting him free. "We have to make sure we ride this thing to safety!" She summoned an eclectic guitar and shoved it into Gray's hands. "Start playing!"

"Wha- Lucy this isn't the time for a son!" Gray shouted.

"I'm going to use my magic to steer the ship, genius!" Lucy shot back. "So play it!"

"B-But I've never played a guitar before!" Gray said, now worried.

"Don't worry, my powers will guide you!" Lucy told him, getting to the streaming lacima and putting her powers into it.

Gray had no other choice, so he started to do what Lucy said. Just then, a bell could be heard from somewhere and Lusy was chanting. Gray started to play rapidly, Lucy's magic empowering him. They were able to surf the tsunami with her magic. Lucy then started to sing.

On a cold winter morning, in the time before the light

In flames of death's eternal reign, we ride towards the fight

When the darkness has fallen down, and the times are tough all right

The sound of evil laughter falls around the world tonight

Their boat was speeding across the tsunami, Happy holding on to the boat for dear life while Natsu looked worse from the exceloration. They were still under the coving area of the wave, but now it turned into a whirlpool when it crashed back down. They tried to keep the speed up to not get sucked in.

"Oh man..." Natsiu groaned. "This is hell...!"

"Lucy! It's not working, we need to go faster!" Gray shouted, still playing.

"Just keep playing!" she ordered quickly before continuing to sing. She summoned clones to help her give her a boost.

Fighting hard, fighting on for the steel, through the wastelands evermore

The scattered souls will feel the hell, bodies wasted on the shores

On the blackest plains in hell's domain, we watch them as they go

In fire and pain, now once again, we know

So now we fly ever free

We're free before the thunderstorm

On towards the wilderness, our quest carries on

Far beyond the sundown, far beyond the moonlight

Deep inside our hearts and all our souls

They were gaining more speed now, breaking free from the whirlpool. Just then,. Storm clouds started to form over them.

"Uh... Lucy... Is that your doing...?" he asked her, looking at the storm overhead.

Lucy'sd jaw dropped. "No, that is not. This island mission is really testing my passions, AND WE'RE NOT EVEN ON THE DAMN LANDMASS YET!"

"That's an S-Class mission for you, you don't know what will happen, and are dangerous," Gray stated, still playing, doing a solo.

"AYE!" Happy shouted.

"I KNEW THIS MISSION WAS A BAD IDEA!" Lucy shouted, going back to singing.

As the red day is dawning

And the lightning cracks the sky

They'll raise their hands to the heavens above

With resentment in their eyes

Running back through the mid-morning light

There's a burning in my heart

We're banished from a time in a fallen land

To a life beyond the stars

Lucy was now avoiding lightning bolts that were coming down on them.

"WAAAAAAAAAAH!" Happy shouted in fear.

"I'm starting to see that this island is cursed!" Lucy shouted.

"That or your powers are going out of whack Lucy!" Happy shouted, making a tick mark appear on her head.

"OH SHUT IT YOU STUPID CAT! I'M THE ONE TRYING TO SAVE OUR ASSES!" Lucy shot back.

"AYE!"

"Uh... Lucy..." Gray called out, scared.

Lucy looked forward... and saw that there were more whirlpools. Lucy's jaw dropped. "Oh come on!" she shouted, continuing to sing.

In your darkest dreams see to believe

Our destiny this time

And endlessly we'll all be free tonight

And on the wings of a dream, so far beyond reality

All alone in desperation, now the time has gone

Lost inside, you'll never find, lost within my own mind

Through the fire and the flames, we carry on

Lucy used her powers to make the boat jump into the air, to hop over the whirlpools. The three in the back screaming at the maneuver.

"I wasn't expecting a flying ship!" Gray shouted, holding onto the boat.

"Aye!" Happy agreed.

"Get me off this crazy ride!" Natsu shouted, wanting to die.

"YOU MADE US COME HERE NATSU AND NOW IT'S TIME TO PAY THE PRICE!"

"NOOOOOOOO!"

"Suck it up!" Both Gray and Lucy ordered, the boat landing roughly at the other side of the whirlpools. That was the least of their worries, when a twister appeared out of nowhere.

Lucy's eye was twitching in both anger and annoyance. "What is with this island!?" She turned to Gray. "You're going to need to play your heart out Gray!"

"Yeah, I'm on it, even though my fingers are killing me at this point," Gray said, doing a solo, wincing at the pain in his fingers.

Lucy Was heading to the twister. "Uh.. Luci... ARE YOU INSANE!?" Happy shouted.

"Trust me!" she ordered.

Whoa-oh-oh, whoa-oh-oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh

Whoa-oh-oh, whoa-oh-oh, whoa-oh-oh-oh-oh

Gray felt a rush of energy go through him, and his playing intensified, the group was now sailing inside the tornado, spinning around the clouds.

"We're sailing in the air!?" Happy shouted in shock.

"... I've seen some crazy stuff with you Lucy... But I never would have thought we'd be sailing a boat on the side of a twister...!" Gray shouted, still playing.

"If I can get us enough speed and time it right, we'll be rocketed to the coast of the island," Lucy informed them, sweat rolling down her face.

"Wait, Lucy, are you not using Nature Energy to empower yourself?" Gray asked, shocked seeing her straining herself.

"And blow up the boat using that raw amount of magic!?" Lucy shouted at him. "You want to kill us!?"

"No ma'am!" Gray shouted, actually seeing how stupid that was.

"The boat is already strained from this much magic already, anymore and we'll be in deep trouble," Lucy warned, trying to keep her focus on the timing of the launch.

"Noted," Gray said, still playing. If Lucy was giving it her all to make sure they survived this, he would do the same. He had ice magic coat his fingers to give him some relief and combat the soreness of playing the guitar.

"Please hurry up, Luci, Natsu looks like he's going to die from all this," Happy called out, seeing Natsu blue faced and foaming at the mouth.

"Just hang in there for a little longer, I almost have it," Lucy ordered, still focusing on the controls. Seeing her chance she started singing again when Gray slowed down, to give a boost at the right time.

Now here we stand with their blood on our hands

We fought so hard, now can we understand?

I'll break the seal of this curse if I possibly can

For freedom of every man

Gray hit the next notes hard, making them rocket out of the twister, and straight to the island at one of the beaches.

"We're almost there!" Happy called out in joy.

"Just a little further," Gray said, still playing.

So far away, we wait for the day

For the lives all so wasted and gone

We feel the pain of a lifetime lost in a thousand days

Through the fire and the flames, we carry on

They were rocketing at high speed, making it to the island, Gray playing his hardest to make sure they didn't run into anything else on the sea. They landed roughly on the beach, everyone josuled from the landing. Gray and Lucy were huffing from all the energy they used to get to the beach safely.

"We......we did it!" Happy cheered, spirals in his eyes from the ride.

"Land..." Natrsui groaned out, flopping to the beach.

"... All in favor of setting up camp for the night on the beach... say aye..." Lucy panted out. "I have never had to push my normal magic that hard in years... Need to practice more with that..."

"Aye..." all three boys agreed.

Gray was shaking his hand, trying to get the numbness out of his fingers. "Man playing the guitar is murder on the fingers. Never knew these things were a killer."

"First time playing a guitar?"

Gray nodded. "Yep. Never saw the need to learn to play up till this point."

"... Remind me to teach you guys to play instruments if I need your help. I can't always lend my magic to help guild you," Lucy stated, slumping in the boat.

"And maybe singing lessons as well," Gray added, also slumping. "You saved our bacon Lucy, we might have been in a worse predicament if you hadn't stepped in."

"Still could have gone easier on the ride..." Natsu groaned out.

"Aye..." Happy said, still dizzy.

"NO WE COULDN'T!" Both Gray and Lucy shouted at Natsu.

Lucy groaned to herself. "We need to set up a campground for tonight... Gray, can you make some walls and use the boat as a roof in case it rains. That way we have cold air in case it's a warm night, and a roof in case of tropical showers."

"Roger." Gray used his magic to summon ice to move the boat farther in and then make an ice shake with two separate areas. "That good Lucy?"

"Yeah, thanks for making separate places as well," Lucy said, thanking him for being considerate.

"We may be camping, but we should still be sleeping separately," Gray said, shrugging.

"Now all we need is something to lay on..." Lucy said, thinking. "Maybe I can ask Vergo to get us some sleeping mats?"

"Or we can get some palm leafs and make a mat out of them," Gray suggested.

"... You know what, sure... I don't think I have the energy to summon any of my spirits. She then turned to Natsu. "Hey, Natsu, have you recovered yet, or what?"

"Give me another minute..." Natsu groaned out. "The world is still spinning to me..."

Lucy groaned. "You are useless at times... you know that...?"

This got Natsu mad and shot up, looking better. "I am not useless!"

Lucy smirked. "No, but you are gullible~"

Natsu realized Lucy played him by saying that. He just grumbled and went to get some leaves.

"Good plan, using his temper against him," Gray complemented.

"Less than a month and I already know him." Lucy giggled.

"And it helps you're as scary as Erza when mad... if not scarier..." Gray muttered that to himself.
"... I don't know whether to take that as a complement or insulted..." Lucy muttered. "... Maybe a backhanded compliment..."

Natsu came back, carrying a lot of leaves that he couldn't see. "This enough Luci?" he asked.

"... A little too much..." Lucy said in a deadpan, an anime sweatdrop on his head.

"You went overboard again..." Gray agreed, seeing some of the trees were bare.

"HEY! I DID WHAT YOU ASKED!" Natsu shouted, annoyed. He places all the leaves in the sleep area.

"Let's just get to sleep..." Lucy said, sighing.

"Aye," Happy agreed.

They group gets into the makeshift campsite. Lucy took the left section, while the three guys took the right.

"Already the first day... and already we almost died... Was it four times...?" Lucy asked.

"I lost count..." Gray said, groaning. "Was too busy playing the guitar to keep track..."

"Was trying not to lose my lunch..." Natsu said, turning green from remembering the whole ordeal.

"Was trying to hold on for dear life..." Happy states. "I don't want to be on that ride again..."

"Remind me to NEVER accept an S-Class mission from Natsu again." Lucy tated.

"Agreed." Gray said.

"Hey! What's that supposed to mean!?" Natsu shouted.

"You seem to have tearable luck when it comes to picking jobs..." Lucy stated flatly. "Even if we do help people, and I'm okay with that, but I do need to pay rent..."

"... Aren't you a high ranking Diva that makes millions though?" Gray asked, looking confused.

"That's reserved money incase of emergency, I'm not using it in case I absolutely have to," Lucy stated.

"Ah, come on Luci, you should live a little~" Natsdu said.

"Aye sir!"

"I'm not an idiot like you two..." She stated, glaring at them through the thick ice that was foggy. But the two still got a chill down their spine.

"You two should really stop poking at Lucy... or did you forget what she did to you two two weeks ago...?" Gray asked dully.

"We just see Lucy as Lucy, no matter who she was, or what magic she uses, be it Celestial Or Bard," Natsu stated, shrugging.

This made Lucy blush and turn away. "Get to sleep you three... we have a long walk tomorrow... I can just tell..."

"Ok Luc-"

"AND DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT DOING ANYTHING WHEN I'M ASLEEP NATSU, HAPPY! GOT IT?!"

"YES MA'AM!"

"AYE!"

The four then went to sleep, ready to get to the village they needed to be at.

The next day. The Sun was up and it was a bright clear day. Lucy was the first to wake. She saw that the ice was still up, and barely melted during the tropical night.

"Gray's ice is really useful..." Lucy muttered to herself.

"Tch. my flames are way better than Snow Fairy."

Lucy gave him a flat look. "You can barely make fires that don't burn everything... Until you can... I'm not entrusting you to make a fire dome in a snowstorm to keep us warm..." It was like invisible arrows struck him in the heart.

"... Why do you have to be so mean...?" Natsu asked, almost crying at Lucy's blunt honesty.

"Because it's the only way to get it through your thick skull, you numbskull..." Lucy answered, another invisible arrow hitting him.

"Seems Lucy isn't one to take crap with you, Flame Brain," Gray said, sitting up.

"Stuff it Snow Fairy! At least I ain't walking around naked right now!"

"Wha-Ah dammit not again!" Gray shouted, looking down again. He grabbed his clothes and put them back on quickly.

Lucy just sighs. "Just get ready to head out..." she ordered. She then noticed something. "Where's Happy?"

"I'm here..." Happy grogally called out, flying to them.

"Good, we're all here," Lucy stated. "Now, let's head out so we can get more information about this damn quest, and finish it. I don't care about the money reward anymore, I just want to help fix this curse, and get the golden Key. And hope to all the gods Natsu, if I get kicked out of Fairy Tail because you and Happy thought it wise to steal a flier to prove yourselves... You will be in BOILING water..." She had a look that Erza would be proud of, sending shivers of fear through all three. "Am I clear...?" she asked, getting into Natsu's face, a creepy smile on her face to put more fear into the Dragon Slayer.

Natsu was sweating in fear. "Y-Yes ma'am..." he said weakly.

"You better take all the blame for this, otherwise... Lucy might kill you Natsu..." Gray said. "And she'd have good reason to do so..."

"Like you have a reason to be naked right now?"
"Dammit not again!"

Lucy facepalmed and groaned. "MOVE IT! NOW!" she ordered, sounding like a tiger's roar.

"Yes ma'am!" all three shouted in fear. The four started to head off to the village that sent the request. They made it to the village, and it was night time again.

"Finally made it..." Lucy groaned. "Took us all day to find this place..."

"HOLD THERE!" Came the voice of a guard from above the gates and wall. "WHO GOES THERE!?"

"We're Wizards from Fairy Tail responding to your request!" Lucy answered, calling up to them.

"IF YOU'RE FROM FAIRY TAIL! SHOW US YOUR GUILD MARKS!"

The group showed their guild marks, shocking the guards.

"THEIR MAGES!"

"THEY HEARD OUR PLEAS!"

"OPEN THE GATE!"

The gate was then lifted to allow them entry.

"It's like we're walking into a giant monster's mouth..." Happy brought up.

"... Why do you say such creepy things...?" Luicy asked in a deadpan.

The four entered and were greeted by the village elder. "I'm Moka, the village chief," an elderly man in robes covering his whole body introduced. "On behalf of everyone here, I welcome you. Pleasantries aside, there's something you need to see." He turned to his villagers and ordered, "Now, my people."

The villagers, the chief included, show their bodies to the group, some parts of said bodies being monstrous or some of their foreheads having horns.

"It's just like what happened to the boat guy..." Gray pointed out.

"Yeah... Demon parts all over them..." Lucy muttered.

"Oh, wow, your sideburns!" Natsu exclaimed.

Lucy facepalmed hearing that. "Natsu..."

"Not that. I was trying to show you what happened to my arm." The chief told him, baffled. "Everyone on the island has suffered horrible disfigurement because of this curse. Not even the animals have been spared!"

"Please excuse me for asking, but what makes you think it's a curse, sir?"

"We've had several doctors examine our bodies and none of them has provided any reasonable explanation, not even a healing magic. This is likely due to a curse that has been inflicted upon the entire land!"

"What kind of spell?" Lucy asked, confused. She knew her magic, and never came across something like this, and the only thing close was a song called "The Rock of the Succubus". 'Could it be some altered version of the spell song...?' she thought to herself

"Since ancient times, this island has absorbed the light of the moon causing it to glow almost as beautifully as the moon itself. However, several years ago, the moon's color began to change. And an eerie purple glow was cast upon the island." The chief explained.

"So the moon turned purple?" Natsu asked.

Happy gasped when he looked into the sky. "It's coming out from behind the clouds," he stated, making the group look up to the sky.

As soon as the clouds part, they see the moon turning purple. "Oh wow... It really IS purple..." Lucy said, shocked.

"Man, that's creepy looking..." Gray huffed.

"YOu're telling me..." Lucy agreed with the ice mage.

"It's the curse... Stand back... The change is about to begin..." Moka grunted before he and the villagers groaned in pain and anguish.

"W-What's happening?" Happy asked, looking scared.

They saw that the villagers were transforming into demonic looking monsters.

"They're changing!" Gray exclaimed.

"Why is this happening to them?" Natsu asked before the villagers completed their transformation, albeit forced in the first place.

"I'm sorry if our appearance frightens you." Moka apologized.

"It's okay. I'm just completely confused." Gray replied.

"You poor people..." Lucy let out.

"Oh man... You guys look so cool!" Natsu exclaimed in excitement.

There was a moment of silence until... "... Huuuh?" Everyone huffed in confusion.

"NATSU YOU IDIOT!"

BAM!

"OW!"

"DON'T BE RUDE TO THEM!"

"YES MA'AM!" Natsu grumbled, rubbing his head. "But they look so cool, with horns and stuff. I'm so jealous!"

"He thinks we look cool...?" One of the villagers asked.

"No one's ever said that to us before..." Another villager pointed out.

"Natsu, you're being insensitive," Lucy scolded him.

"Seriously? Huh. My bad..." Natsu apologized. "Then I guess we should help them out."

"As you've witnessed, whenever the purple moon shows its face in the sky, everyone in the village takes on a horrific demon form. If it isn't a curse, then what else could it possibly be?" Moka asked, leaving Natsu speechless. "We'll return to normal once the morning comes and the sun has risen. However, there are some poor souls who can no longer switch back to their human forms for they have lost their minds."

"Is there anything we could do to help?"

"Yes, you must destroy the moon."

"...."

"...."

"......I'm sorry what? Destroy the moon?" Lucy asked, confused.

"We believe that the moon is the source of the curse and the only way to destroy it is by destroying the moon." Moac informed the team. "If we wait for that to happen, the monsters will surely kill us all. We've tried capturing them, but they've always broken free. It's no use..." Moka sobbed, tears flowing from his eyes, holding a picture of a man he appreciated. "Once it takes hold... there's no way to save them... I should know... I was forced to kill my very own son..."

When everyone saw the photo, they gasped. "That's the same man from the boat," Lucy stated in shock. "But we just saw him yesterday-"

"Shh." Gray shushed. "Now I understand why he disappeared on us like that... He's dead, but his soul can't rest in peace..."
"Did-did, did we just see a g-g-g-ghost?" Natsu huddled up with Happy and shivered in terror.

"A-a-a-aye."

"Please lift the evil curse from our Island," Moka begged, bowing to them. "If this goes on much longer, we may all fall victim to it. We'll die."

"We're not gonna let that happen! We can fix this. I promise you." Natsu declared. He then turned to Lucy. "Luci... I think we should give these people a song to help raise their spirits before we get some sleep~ What do you say?"

"By destroying the moon you mean?"

"Well yes, that's what we have to do right?"

BAM!

"YOU @#$a% DUMBASS! HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO DESTROY AN ENTIRE CELESTIAL BODY IF ITS MILLIONS OF MILES AWAY!?" Lucy roared, hitting him on the head with a cello. "THAT NOT TO MENTION ALL THE CATISTOFICE DISASTERS THAT COULD BRING TO THE WORLD IF WE DESTROYED THE MOON! YOU'D BE DESTROYING MILLIONS OF PLACES AND KILLING WHO KNOWS HOW MANY PEOPLE FROM IT!"

"Like what Lucy said, have you ever thought of that flame brain or all that smoke is finally affecting your brain?" Gray asked.

"Then what are we supposed to do!?"

"We FIND whatever the f#@$ is causing this curse rather than destroying the moon idiot!" Lucy scolded the pink-haired boy.

"... Can we still give the village a song to help lighten the mood at least...?" Natsu asked, looking sheepish.

"Aye sir!" Happy agreed.

"Ugh! Fine." Natsu fistpumped. He was then grabbed by her, they're faces close to each other. "But you're helping me with the song, or else..."

Natsu gulped. "Uh... I'm still not feeling well from that boat ride so-" Lucy had an aura of rage and anger over her, her eyes shadowed by her hare and red lights where they should be. "... On second thought, I'll help you out."

Gray whispered to her, asking, "You sure about this? he might sing like a cat that's drowning."

"I HEARD THAT SNOW FAIRY!" Natsu shouted.

"His idea, he helps," Lucy stated flatly. "He takes the S-Class Quest, he needs to help push his own weight as well, I'm not going to do all the work in my music."

"... What about me?" Gray asked.

"You helped with the storm yesterday, you did a lot already, you can sit and relax. ... Thought I could use you on the dumbs if you're up for it?"

Gray shrugged. "Sure, it should be easier, using my arms and not just my fingers." He then had to ask, "And Happy?"

"... I'll think of something for him later on..."

Gray shrugged. "Far enough."

Lucy then shoved Natsu in front of the villagers, gray behind them. "We'll still be helping everyone out on the Quest, but Natsu and I thought it would be a great idea to help lift your spirits up with a song."

"Well I wanted Lucy to just sing and- OW!" Natsu started, but was hit by Lucy.

"As I was saying," Lucy continued. "We'll be playing a song to help." Lucy then summoned a Guitar and Drums, Gray sitting at the Drums. "The song we'll be playing is called 'Hero'."

Lucy used her magic to help Natsu and Gray, both Gray and Lucy playing, getting the village energized. Natsu then started to sing by impulse, knowing the lyrics thanks to Lucy. Lucy comes in after him.

Natsu: I'm just a step away

I'm just a breath away

Losin' my faith today

Lucy: We're fallin' off the edge today

Natsu: I am just a man

Not superhuman

Lucy: I'm not superhuman

Natsu: Someone save me from the hate

The villagers we're starting to feel slightly better. The music helped them out little by little. It wasn't much at the moment, but every little bit helps.

Natsu smiled at Lucy, seeing that the idea was working. Lucy and Gray just rolled their eyes. Happy had idol glow sticks and was handing them out to the villagers, making them confused.

"... Huh... Guess Happy is being useful and is bring up people's spirits up as well..." Gray muttered, surprised.

"You go little buddy!" Nats called out, before Lucy forced him to focus on the music again. Natsu gave a sheepish smile and the two got back to singing the song.

Natsu: It's just another war

Lucy: We're falling from our faith today

Natsu: Just a step from the edge

Just another day in the world we live

The villagers were starting to get into the song, raising their glow sticks and cheering on the team. The song was resonating with them, they were the heroes they were waiting for.

Natsu, Gray and Lucy saw that they were helping boost the spirits of the villagers. They also saw Happy cheering with the villagers, getting snorts of laughter from the three.

The three kept at it, glad to help the village feel better through all the suffering they had been through.

Natsu: I've gotta fight today

Lucy: My voice will be heard today

Natsu I've gotta make a stand

Lucy: I'm not superhuman

The countdown begins to destroy ourselves

More and More of the villagers were joining in, all of them being energized. HAppy was giving out more glowsticks to more people that were joining.

"Seems Happy's helping hyping up the crowd," Gray muttered.

"Happy's always been a good hype cat~" Natsu said with a goofy grin.

"Get back to work Natsu." Lucy ordered.

"Yes ma'am!"

Natsu: I need a hero to save me now

Natsu and Lucy looked at eachother, nodding to one another, then sang together, both harmonizing and connecting through Lucy's magic, their bond growing closer as friends and Fairy Tail family.

Natsu: We're in the fight of our lives

Lucy: And we're not ready to die

Both: Who's gonna fight for the weak

Natsu: I've got a hero

Today I'm speaking my mind

Natsu: And if it kills me tonight

Lucy: I will be ready to die

Just then, both Natsu and Lucy started glowing, Flames surrounding both of them, but not ones of anger, but ones of hope, a light in the dark. Lucy had her Fire wings, while Natsu had the same, but they were dragon wings instead of bird-like ones Lucy had.

Gary, Happy and the village were in awe at what they were seeing. The villagers felt hope swelling in them. Gray shook off the surprise, and went back to drumming.

Natsu:A hero's not afraid to give his life

Lucy and Natsu's wings then shot up off of them, creating fireworks for the villagers. The kids of the village were in awe. And the spirits of the villagers were up from what they were before.

Natsu, Gray and Lucy bowed to the villagers. "I know this is only a temporary thing, but we promise to help fine and fix the cure placed on you all, I promise, as a Celestial Mage and Bard."

"We'll let you stay in one of the homes for the night, for helping us feel better then we have in a while," Moca stated, smiling warmly.

"Thank you Moca," Lucy thanked, bowing to him.

A while after, the group were in a hut for the night, Happy looking out one of the windows. "I never knew the moon could be so creepy."

"Since when has the moon been purple?" Natsu asked.

"Heck if I know, How did you and Lucy do that Magical Combination Bond thing?" Gray asked.

"I guess... me and Natsu just really wanted to help cheer up the villagers, that our bond as friends and guild mates got empowered," Lucy suggested, shrugging.

"... Why didn't it work with us during our little stunty on surviving that damn freak storm?" Gray asked, giving her a flat look.

"Well, I was the first friend Luci made, and we're been working together a little longer, that could also be a factor," Natsu added, sitting up.

"To my immense annoyance~" Lucy said, playfully ribbing him.

"They're in Love~" Happy called out, teasingly.

"WE ARE NOT!" both shouted, red faced. Happy just snickered.

"We should get back to the mission and think about our gameplan..." Lucy said, groaning.

"I'm not so sure about this job, guys." Natsu grumbled, surprising the others..

"Do these people really think we can destroy the moon?" Gray asked.

"I wonder how many punches it'll take... You think I can handle it?"

Lucy facepalmed. "This again, Natsu...?"

"What?" Natsu asked. "That's the job we were hired to do, isn't it? We can't take a job and then back out of it." Natsu argued. "Cause that would make Fairy Tail look bad."

Lucy was rubbing the sides of her head. "Did you forget what I told you what would happen if we somehow did that...?"

"But you're a bard, you can do it Luci~!"

"I'M ONLY LEVEL 5 NATSU! AND EVEN IF I COULD, I'M ALSO A CELESTIAL MAGE AS WELL, I WILL NOT DESTROY A CELESTIAL BODY!" Lucy roared at him, nearly blowing him backwards.

"GAH! LUCI YOU ALMOST BLEW MY EARDRUMS OUT!" Natsu cried, holding his ears in pain.

"Well if you took a moment to think, she wouldn't have done that..." Gray said flatly.

"Whatever, let's just get some sleep." Lucy ordered. "We'll check the island for anything that could be causing the moon to be acting like this."

"Sounds like a plan to me..." Gray groaned tiredly as he went to bed as well.

The lights were turning out, and the group went to sleep. Lucy had noise canceling earmuffs when she heard Natsu snoring. 'So glad I brought these...' she thought, going to sleep.

Next chapter will have action, but first, we'll be working on one of Dark's stories. Though someone suggested the idea that Lucy was able to summon hectic spirits for a story. Idea for later. Though I can see her being able to make herself use the power of Servants through taking on their aspects, like her Celestial Form change. What do you think Dark?

Dark: Indeed so, as fortunate Lucy and the others had to deal with the repercussion of Natsu stealing an S-rank mission without permission and got Lucy into his typical shenanigans.

... I don't know whether they have a high luck stat or not...

Laxus: (Scoffs) "Yeah right."
