My name is Diane Blunt, I'm seventeen and currently, I have no home. I hold my fiancé's hand as we board a boat leading to Rome. I'm nervous because I'm starting a new life with Erik Destler. The man I promised my life to. I looked up at him and smiled, he seemed excited.

"Diane," he said as he squeezed my hand. "I'm so happy that you chose me. I promise to make your life happy." He didn't have the dark circles around his eyes anymore. He didn't look tired from the restless nights of fighting. He looked peaceful as we waited to board the ship which would take us to Rome.

"I just hope this place is going to be amazing." I smirked. "With so many tourists spots and parks." I kissed his hand and stepped onto the ship as they called out names.

To be honest, I don't know if what I did was the right or wrong choice. What if this doesn't work out in the end? Maybe he'll find another woman and leave me for her? Or maybe he'll find me boring... To be honest, I feel like I won't be enough for him, I hope to God that I am.

"Diane? Are you deep in thought?" he whispered as we were shown our room.

I snapped out of my thoughts and smile at him. "Yes sorry, I was just busy thinking."

We both chuckled as we entered the room. It would be our room for a few hours, Rome wasn't that far away. I set my things down and smiled.

"Erik!" I smiled and spun around. "This is our new life now! In a boat!"

He chuckled as he squinted at me. "Yes, in a boat my love. We'll sail the seas." He planted a kiss on my cheek and hugged me.

I smile and hugged him back. A life in Rome with a man like him will be good. I can imagine many children. I wanted dozens of them. I also would've liked a tiny singing career on the side to make things interesting. I felt his hand on my shoulder, turning me towards him.

"Let's get some rest." He pulled me to the bed. "You look tired from today and the week before." I nod my head in agreement and slip on a night gown.

"Goodnight, my love," I say as we climb into the bed. He says the same thing as he puts his arm around me. "I hope you have in dream of Rome, Diane."
I smile and close my eyes softly.

(2 hours later)

I woke up as I heard boats horns go off. I know where we are! In Rome! I quietly slipped out of his arms and grabbed a dress. His eyes opened and he looked around, confused.

"Diane?" he says as he looks around, "Come back to bed." I shake my head and open the blinds. "We're in Rome!"

He slowly gets up and walks to the blinds. "Wow... We're actually here." He smiles softly and grabs my hand. "We're home."

I smile too, because I knew that he was happy we were here. That was good sign. He grabbed his jacket and put it on while I put on my tight corset.

"Grab your luggage and follow me." he told me, and picked up all of his belongings and headed towards the door. "I want to be the first one off. I have something waiting for us when we just get off."

I nodded and quickly gathered the little things I had. I was about to see my new home and I have to admit, that's exciting. Maybe we'll live in a big house. Maybe even by an ocean. I cleared my thoughts and followed him to the front of the boat where many people were gathered with luggage.

"Stay close," he said to me as he grabbed my hand. "Rome is a busy city with a lot of people, I don't want you to get lost." I nodded and stayed close to him.

"I love you Erik," I smiled and nuzzled up to his arm. I know he didn't look or sound like he was excited, but I could tell deep inside that he was bursting with joy.

The doors slowly opened as we were docked, and everyone started to move quickly out of the door. I got my first glimpse of Rome, and I smiled as I saw civil people and children walking around a cute market. I focused my attention back to Erik, who was filling me towards something.

"Where are we going? To dinner? An opera house?" I questioned him. He shook his head. "No. You'll see in a moment, my angel."

I nodded and followed him to a big long car.
It wasn't even a car. It was something rich people ride in. I mean, Erik and I have a lot of money combined, which I'm happy about. He looked at me and smiled, stopping by the door.

"I booked us a limo. It will drive us to the house I bought." He let go of my hand as I looked inside the limo. It was so gorgeous and big inside. I went up to him and hugged him tightly. "Thank you so much, Erik!"

He helped me into the large couches in the limo. It was truly a beautiful vehicle, which I hoped to travel in a lot. Erik reached for a bottle of champagne and popped it open. The fizz of the bottle was poured into two champagne glasses and one was passed to me. I took a sip and smiled, squeezing Erik's hand softly.

"Erik?" I looked up at him. "Is our house big and beautiful? Maybe even by the sea?" I grin softly as he shrugged. "Well, three stories is small but I'm sure we'll be able to make it work."

I chuckle and nuzzled close to him. I looked out of the window and saw the passing scenery of Rome. My new home. I'm going to love it here for sure. It has so many beautiful tourist attractions and beautiful parks. We began to drive up to a gorgeous part of town. I mean, the part we were in was pretty too, but this part was even more beautiful! Some of these places look like they're made of gold.

Erik nudged my shoulder lightly and pointed somewhere out of the window. "We're to our new home, love. Just a few more blocks." I smile and look at the gorgeous houses, and then I see an ocean! Exactly what I wanted. "An ocean Erik!" I nearly yelled as I pointed to the blue substance on the distance. The limo soon came to a stop and parked by a gigantic house.

"Wow!" I squealed as I exited the limo and stared at the mansion. It was exactly what I wanted. I quickly grabbed my luggage and went to the to the door. I felt something metallic in my hand and smiled as I saw keys. "Thank you so much!" I quickly unlocked the door and ran inside. I could feel my mouth hang open as I see how huge the house was inside. It was bigger than my house in America.

"Someone likes it," Erik said, as he grabbed my hand and led me upstairs. "Let me show you everything. I'm sure you're going to love it."
I nodded and he pulled me upstairs.

As we finished walking up the staircase, he led me to this beautiful hallway with hand drawn pictures that were probably done by him. I smiled at each and every picture he had on the wall. After a while, he showed me some of the bathrooms.
They were just so beautiful. Marble covered the whole entire bathroom as well as sliver and gold.

"Erik..." I whispered as I touched the smooth counter of one of the many bathrooms. "This is so beautiful... It makes me want to cry." He smiled and kissed my head as he showed me around other rooms, which were just boring closets and some extra guest rooms. But soon he pulled me to the bedroom. The gorgeous bedroom with a comforter as white as the clouds in the sky. I went up to the bed and sat down gently. This was all too good to be true.

"This is absolutely gorgeous... This is even more beautiful than I could have imagined."
He sat beside me and touched his hand. "I'm glad you like it so much. Now let me show you a room which might even be my favourite."

I stood up once again, and we began to walk the long hallways, heading to this mysterious room which he claimed that he loved. He opened the door of the room and turned on the lights. Inside was the most adorable thing.
A beautiful cot and just so many things for a baby.

"Oh my God..." I could feel tears coming out of my eyes because of the beauty. "You're such a wonderful man... So thoughtful and sweet." He held me close and kissed my head as I complimented him.

I slowly broke free of his arms and walked around the room to see if everything felt right. And it did.
I touched the white drapes by the window. They were so beautiful. I slowly moved onto the dresser and shelves. Stuffed animals lined all of them. It was so beautiful. After I finished looking around the room, I went back to the cot and smile, imagining a little baby in it. I felt a sudden kiss on my neck as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

"I would love to have a little baby right now." I sigh and look up at him. "A family would be raised in here. Our family." He smiled softly as he kissed my neck again. "Well...Our wedding's in two days...That means we'll be able to start on that family soon." I grin with excitement as I was told I would be able to get married to the man I love in just two days.

"I love you." I say as I smile softly. "I want to spend the rest of my life with you...Forever and ever." He smiles too and kisses me. I was happy to be in his arms...I love him so so so much.
