"Aww," Chloe sighed. "Little Miss Dreamy is a peacemaker."

Dream glared at her. "Do not call me 'Little Miss Dreamy'. That's a truly sacrilegious nickname. I can do without, thank you very much."

Chloe shrugged it off. "Like I was saying, you did wondrously today."

"What is up with your vocabulary today?" Dream frowned. "You're seriously freaking me out."

"Sorry," Chloe smiled innocently. "I use big words when I get excited."

"Since when?" Dream asked. "I've known you for over a year and you're excited 24/7 and you never use big words."

"That's what you think."

"Right," Dream said sarcastically.

"Anyways, I'm so impressed," Chloe said, clapping. "You successfully nulled the feud between the Baren family and," she paused for dramatic effect. Or, she didn't know what to call the group. "The random students of Pebblebrook Creek High who hate Francesca Baren."

Dream sighed, sitting on the bottom bunk of the bed, where she was going to be sleeping that night. "I did no such thing. I wish I did, though," she said somewhat bitterly. "Just because Fatima stayed for dinner and everyone seemed to like her doesn't mean they completely forgive Francesca. They probably all still hate her."

"Zac doesn't hate her," Chloe pointed out.

"Yeah, but she kind of saved him when he got knee-deep in some serious..." Dream paused, searching for the right word, "trouble. He pretty much owes her his life."

"Yeah," Chloe said. "If I were you or Zac, I wouldn't hate Francesca either."

A loud "ping" woke Dream up. She groaned, rubbing her eyes. What time was it? She reached for her phone, seeing that it was just after midnight. A text message just came through.

Savannah: We have an emergency.

Dream: What?

Savannah: Remember I told you that they found two dead Pebblebrook Creek High students in the same stream where we found Lili Robinson?

Dream groaned. The last thing she needed was more of this.

Dream: Yeah?

Savannah: The police have been searching through their phones and found some disturbing stuff.

Dream: Really? What did they find?

Savannah: Some text messages between the two students.

Savannah: Apparently they were talking about something related to illegal money printing.

Savannah: And illegal drugs, that kind of thing.

Dream: And this is relevant?

Savannah: Somehow this ties back to Mrs. Woods.

Dream: How?

Savannah: IDK

Dream: Wait.

Dream had an evil idea. Chloe's suggestion of bringing everyone together with a common goal and focus brought some interesting thoughts into her mind.

Savannah: ??

Dream: I think there might be one person who knows what is going on.

Savannah: You think this person can help us?

Dream: Yeah, most likely.

Savannah: Great! Who?

Dream: That's the problem.

Dream: You probably won't like this person.

Savannah: Honestly whoever it is can't be worse than Francesca. Unless it's like, Mrs. Woods.

Dream: Yeah, that's the problem.

Savannah: It's Mrs. Woods?

Dream: No, it's Francesca.

Savannah: What the freak?

Dream: She can help us though...

Savannah: Can't you find anyone else?

Savannah: How about her twin sister Fatima?

Dream: I bet Francesca knows more than Fatima.

Dream: After all, she was the one who saved me and Zac.

Savannah: Fine.

Savannah: But just to let you know, I'm not happy.

Dream: You will be once we get to the bottom of this.

---

"You guys, need my help?" Francesca sniffed. "About Mrs. Woods?" her jaw was clenched and she was clearly debating.

"This was a bad idea, I told you," Savannah pulled on Dream's arm.

Dream sighed. "Look Francesca. You know what happened to me and Zac, and what would have happened to us if you hadn't rescued us. And look what happened to Lili Robinson. She almost died. And two other students who actually died. I bet they're not the only ones."

"Yeah, of course? What else do you expect from a psychopath?" there was something hard in Francesca's voice.

Dream sighed. "We need to prevent this from happening to other students. And, who knows, maybe there's some kids who are still alive. We need to rescue them."

"I've already rescued everyone who is still alive," Francesca pulled on her hair in frustration. Which didn't work very well because her black hair was in curlers.

"Huh?" Dream frowned in confusion.

"That night in the forest. I was there too. But you guys just had to show up before I could rescue Lili Robinson and take this whole thing to the police. Do you think that you and Zac are special?"

"Well..." Dream shrugged.

"I try to save everyone. But I don't always succeed, okay?"

"How?" Dream asked. "How did you know that Zac and I were at that building? You weren't just searching in random places, you wouldn't have made it on time. And if you were really there in the forest that night...how did you know Lili Robinson was going to be there?"

Francesca bit her lip.

"She's nothing but a liar," Savannah spat. "She was probably just lucky. Let's go."

Dream shot Savannah a look. "She has answers," she said, gesturing to Francesca.

"If she knows so much, then have her explain the money printing and drugs then," Savannah shot back.

Francesca's eyes grew wide. "W-w-what?" she stammered. "M-money printing? And d-drugs?"

"Yeah," Savannah said icily. "Explain what Mrs. Woods has to do with money printing and drugs."

Francesca grew silent.

"She clearly knows nothing. Let's go," Savannah insisted.

Dream sighed. "Fine. But it's your fault if we never find out anything," she said, reluctantly following Savannah back to their own cabin.

"Wait!" Francesca called after them. They turned.

"I know what's going on, okay?" she said, sounding frustrated. "I've been trying to lay low because I--well, I need to protect her. But I guess since you guys got the police involved, it's only a matter of time before the police find out everything."

"But, don't the parents of all the kidnapped children call the police?" Dream said, confused.

"Yes but they've never had a living, breathing witness to tell them the truth. So they can only make assumptions. No hard facts. Until now."

"So," Dream said softly. "What's going on?" Beside her, even Savannah looked intrigued.

"Francesca, what are you doing?" Fatima came from inside the cabin to stand beside her sister in the doorway.

Francesca looked like she was about to cry. "I almost told them," she whispered to her sister.

"What?" Fatima said, shocked. "How could you?"

"I'm sorry. It's just so much, and so hard."

"Sh," Fatima comforted her twin. She shot Dream and Savannah a nasty look that they didn't think was possible for someone as sweet as Fatima to send. "I thought you guys were nice," she said harshly. "Just, go away! I never want to see you guys again!"
