Chapter 19

It was night time. The moon was shinning brightly in the sky. Ansh was sitting down on the bank of a lake. A platinum haired person was sitting beside him, leaning his head on his shoulder. Ansh turned to that person and the person turned to him. They kissed. The gentle kiss went on for a while before turning passionate. He laid the person down and undressed him. He took in the beautiful sight of the beauty beneath him. He kissed every inch of the exposed body lovingly as he prepared his lover. He made sweet, sweet love to his lover. The forest trees whose leaves were silver, were towering over their inhabitants, shielding them from prying eyes.

Ansh woke up panting. What is happening to him? Why is he seeing these types of dreams? And should he not be dreaming of Shreshth even if it is this type of dream? Ansh sighed and laid back down. He closed his eyes and saw Shreshth's smiling face. It has been a week since he returned from the trip and his dreams that once were innocent have turned into something else entirely. Not that he was complaining, which was weird in itself. He should be dreaming of Shreshth, which he did. But he also dreamt of the platinum-haired guy. He knew it was a guy. After all he was the husband of the guy who saved him from Avantika twice. He was a jerk for dreaming about someone else's husband. Ansh sighed. He got up and got ready for the college.

"The diamond is the hardest crystal found in nature. It is composed of...", the prof. went on and on about crystals while Ansh was distracted. Shreshth was absent today along with Vivaan. Ansh asked Somya the reason to which she replied by saying that Shreshth was not feeling well. He had fever. Ansh had been feeling happy all morning, but hearing this, his mood dampened. Shreshth was not feeling well and no one was there to take care of him. Well, Vivaan was there but Vivaan was not him. Ansh had got to go to Shreshth as soon as possible. So as soon as the college was over Ansh asked Somya to take him home. Somya was confused at first but agreed. He took her and Ishita with himself to his home and went inside the kitchen after asking them to wait for him. After a while, he came out of the kitchen with three tiffin boxes held in his hand and asked Somya to drive him to Shreshth's. Somya was touched by Ansh's concern over Shershth's health and took him to their home. As soon as Ansh reached his destination, he quickly got out of the car and ran straight inside the house only to pause in the middle as he did not know Shreshth's room. He looked back and asked Somya, "Which is his room?"

"Upstairs to the right? The second room is his," Somya replied.

Ansh quickly climbed the stairs and went to Shreshth's room, the tiffin boxes still held firmly in his arms. He knocked on the closed door and only entered after he heared a muffled 'come in'.

As Ansh entered the room, a beautiful scent of jasmine hit him. The room was huge and was sparsely decorated. The walls were painted lilac as the rest of the house. There were pictures of beautiful sceneries decorating one side of the wall while the other side had a walk-in closet. A study desk was placed near one of the windows. The bed was placed near another window and there, sitting on the bed, under the covers, was Shreshth. His eyes were teary and swollen, his nose red. He looked miserable.

"Ansh? What are you doing here?," Shreshth asked in a scratchy voice, trying to hide himself from Ansh, embarrassed that Ansh saw him in such an unappealing condition.

Ansh, on the other hand, wanted to comfort Shreshth. So he went to stand beside Shreshth and said, "Somya told me that you were unwell. So I wanted to visit you. Um, how are you?"

"I am fine, thank you."

Shreshth was definitely not fine and Ansh knew that.

"Um, I um, I made something for you," Ansh said placing the tiffin box beside Shreshth.

Shreshth opened the box. There was khichdi, masoor (lentil) dal soup and vegetable upma in there. Shreshth looked at Ansh.

Ansh blushed and explained that these foods were good for Shreshth to have right now. Shreshth nodded. He placed khichdi and vegetable upma down and drank the lentil soup. His eyes widened. It was delicious.

"Who made this?," Shreshth asked.

Ansh blushed as he answered shyly, "I did."

Shreshth was impressed. He took a sip of the soup, saying it was delicious.

It was silent for a moment before Ansh said, "I should get going then." But before he could leave Shreshth's desperate voice stopped him.

"Please stay," Shreshth called out causing Ansh to stop and turned to look at Shreshth.

"Please don't leave," Shreshth said again.

Ansh nodded and stayed, keeping Shreshth company and taking care of him. Eventually he did leave but only after Shreshth had fallen asleep.
