Dust

Holding his arm to his mouth, Namjoon slowly steps into the house of dust, shining the torch across the room. Seokjin quickly follows, with one hand on a gun and one on Nabi's sleeve. Confusingly, inside it looks exactly how you would think it would from the outside. Namjoon's torch, almost lamely, shines onto the walls and the simple furniture of the bungalow. A wave of sudden dust chokes Nabi as she lets out a splutter, breaking the tense atmosphere.

"Here, have some water," Namjoon says with a gentle smile, taking a bottle of water out of his bag and passing it to Nabi before turning to Seokjin. "Seokjin, I know what you're thinking..."

Outside, the sun begins to drift downwards.

"What? That someone has betrayed me?" Seokjin replies through his teeth, clenching his fists. "I have only told a select few, I'll easily able to track this traitor down... Why can't I just do one thing? It's my life, yet why do I feel like a puppet being played? I'm the good guy! Good guys win! I hate-"

"Jin!" Namjoon shouts, shaking his friend gently. "Get yourself together! I understand that you are angry, upset, hurt, but look around you. Everything has a blanket of dust on it, I mean, we are literally standing in a suffocating dust-cloud. Let's pretend this house was ransacked and we are too late, do you think they ransacked it so long ago that there is this much dust without you knowing?"

He lightly pushes the others hands off his shoulders and places himself on a small chair in the corner of the room, his head in his hands. The tense atmosphere returns to make everyone hold their breath. Namjoon takes her outside and as soon as the door is closed behind them, smashing and loud thuds come from the house. Nabi turns around but Namjoon takes her hand and shakes his head.

"He's mad," Namjoon delicately pulls her back to him. "There's no consoling him, he's not normally like this you must understand, he's gone through a lot. If you're sure you wish to be his wife, and remember that's always a choice, look through his disguise. I have known him for a long time, longer than he knows, he hides behind his humour and bottles everything up tight until it all blows up in his face."

"You really care about him, huh?" Nabi teases, jokingly punching his cheek. "You're sweet, Namjoon, I'll give you that."

"Thank you?" Namjoon cocks his head to side and shyly hides his smile. "You're not so bad yourself, considering you're the fiancee of the infamous Seokjin."

Nabi can't help herself zone out of their conversation and listen in on Seokjin. Who knew he had all this anger the whole time? Well, Namjoon, but that's not the point. Once again, Nabi wishes she had her camera with her, Namjoon covering half the sun with his face creates a heavenly glow around him that blinds Nabi if she looks up at him for too long.

"Wait, what do you mean 'infamous'?"

The door suddenly slams open and the duo turn around to see Seokjin in the doorway and screams, "get in!"

Namjoon shoves Nabi inside and slams the door closed only just before bullets penetrate the windows. She scurries backwards to the right side of the house to sit against a turned over table whilst the other two take cover on the left. A sigh of relief accidentally escapes Nabi's lips once she checks herself over and comes to the conclusion that she isn't hurt. The sigh is immediately regretted once she sees a shard of glass sticking out of Seokjin's stomach and at least two bullet holes in Namjoon. Nabi doesn't know what to do. Somehow help? Hide? Pray? The adrenaline makes her hands shake and her head spin, she needs to move before she explodes.

"Here!" Seokjin kneels underneath the window and shouts over the gunfire to Namjoon. "Come over here and take them out with me!"

She can only watch as Namjoon and Seokjin work together in shooting through the window, now more of a hole in the wall, shooting at whoever's out there and covering each other when one of them is reloading. Nabi would smile at their friendship if their lives weren't in immediate danger. After watching them for a few moments more, she gets back onto her feet, crouching, and makes her way to the front of the house. A bullet makes its way through the wall and into the table she was sitting against only seconds ago. Cautiously, she peeks over the window nearest to her and something catches her eye.

Curious, Nabi watches the figure jump from a tree and sprint towards the house. As they get closer, she can see who the figure is. He only looks like a boy, a frantic boy, with a black rucksack sellotaped around his waist.  She quickly realises that Namjoon and Seokjin are too busy shooting at a cluster of men in black and brown to notice the strange boy.

"Why is someone running towards us without a gun?" She whispers to the wind. "Wait- hey! You two! Look to your left!"

"Shit!" Seokjin throws his gun to the ground and runs to her. "Nabi-"

Sound hits her first, a high pitched shrill rings through her entire body before she witnesses Seokjin being thrown away from her, or is she being thrown away from him? She's not sure of anything as a shard of glass floats to her and steadily slices her cheek. Everything is going in slow motion, fastening with every hitched breath. The roof is tearing away like paper dolls. The walls fall like dominoes. She collides through the wall and down into darkness. The light fades before she hits the bottom.

A/N

Okay, this time I'm not going to apologise because I have legitimate reasons to not updating.

1) I have my mock exams for my GCSEs next week.

2) I put my health and my education before anything else.

3) I'm unsure whether I want to continue my journey on WattPad anymore.

Well, on that positive note, hi! If you're confused as to why I would ever even think of leaving WattPad let me explain it a little. I don't enjoy writing fanfiction as much as I used to, this could just be a phase and I'll enjoy it again later, I think it might be (as selfish as it may seem) that because now I have reached a level of popularity that I can now say with confidence that I have a little army of people that love and support me that I am no longer motivated. This may seem hard to hear. I get that it would be disappointing for you if I did leave WattPad for a while, or forever, but at the end of the day it's my time and effort going into these fanfictions for free and for you satisfaction. As much as I love compliments and recognition, sometimes this website's a bit much for me to handle. I haven't decided yet, but I just want to make you aware. Please be understanding.

Anyway, I'm re-opening admissions for the pen-pal letter thing. If you want to send letters to me and me send letters back, message me and I'll send you my address. I may be a little slow with replying as I'm a little busy (ask @kinKtaes (btw I'll be posting your letter soon)).

Also, Avengers Infinity War stole my heart bye.
