i was starting to doze off when i heard the door open and i saw a tall brown haired man come in. the man turned towards me and then started walking towards the couch so i decided to get up and scoot over to let him sit down. he asked me what  my name was  and i told him that my name was nova and i asked him what his name was and he said his name is phillip.

Phillip and i sat in silence for what felt like an eternity and my brain came up with an idea i told Phillip that he had something on his face and i said that i will get it so i pulled his face closer to mine i kissed him and then i quickly pulled away my face burning with embarrassment. i turned back to see Phillip just as red as i was. i decided to speak up to break the awkwardness i asked Phillip what he did for a living and he said that he volunteers at the homeless shelter. i asked him which one he volunteers at and he told me that he works at the one on main street and then he asked me what i did for a living  son i told him that i volunteer at the animal shelter on main  street  and after a few minutes of talking my phone went off so i looked at it and saw it was Sean so i decided not to answer it. Phillip asked who was texting me and i told him that it was my boyfriend Sean i could feel the tears welling up in my eyes but i tried to keep them hidden but Phillip noticed them and immediately pulled me into  a hug which to be honest felt really nice but after a few minutes i told Phillip that i had to go back  to my house because Sean was home but before i left i gave him my phone number and he gave me his number i gave him one last hug  before i left to go back to Sean.
