Jungkook lays in bed, Song sleeping soundly next to him as his thoughts drift back to the night before.

He had told her everthing...well, almost everyhing.
It's this first time he's ever done that.
He's never told any girl about any of his past, well except the one girl that broke his heart so many years ago.

2 years before...

Jungkook was very happy.
It was his 20th birthday and he's holding a big ass party for all his friends.

Everyone's coming, the boys, Mark and his new boyfriend Jackson, who he still had to meet, his friends from college and also the girl he's hopelessly in love with.

Cho Cecile.

She had moved to South Korea after living in America for a few years and began attending Jungkook's school shortly before they became friends.

Jungkook and Cecile, the two of them against the world.

She was there for him when his mother passed away and also when his sister passed away in the accident the year before.

She became his support in his time of grief and was there for anything he needed.
She came over to his house for sleepovers, where they talked all night, and laughed and cried together.

Cecile was close with his sister as well and they always felt and looked like siblings, especially to people that didn't know they weren't really related.

He never thought about her as more than a sister but that all suddenly changed.

He had woken up early to get ready for a visit from Cecile, who would be coming by his house later that day to tell him some good news.

He was so excited to see her, since he hadn't been able to get her off his mind for a few days now.

The days leading up to his birthday was confusing as he seemed to lose all his thoughts of Cecile as his sister and had changed them more to the girl of his dreams.

He wasn't really sure of his feelings but would figure them out at his party, where he was planning on asking Cecile to be his girlfriend.

That's why, when she told him that she would be making an appearance before the party, he was kind of freaking out and happy at the same time.

Thoughts of asking her when she came over crossed his mind, but he would save his plans for the party later in the evening.

His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door, and he knew it was Cecile.

He quickly checked his appearance in the mirror and went to open the door, smiling as his eyes rested on the small, short brown haired girl infront of him, smiling the smile he had gotten used to over the years.

"Hey Cece!", He greets the girl as she smiles at him before going inside the big house.

"Hey Kookie!", she replies, giving her tall friend a big hug.
"Happy birthday! I hope you are having a great day so far.", She says, Jungkook nodding his head, giving her another hug to say thank you.

"So what brings you here this early, you know the party starts at 5 right?", He asks the girl with a smirk, the female rolling her eyes at his comment.

"Obviously Kook, but I wanted to talk to you before the party.", She says, her voice cracking, her head feeling dizzy at the thought of what she was going to tell him.

"Sure thing! You want something to drink?", She hears his voice in the kitchen as she notices that she had not seen him walk away.

"Umm, no I'm fine thanks!", She shouts back before going to sit on one of the couches in the living room.

She takes a deep breath as she readies herself for the bomb she was about to drop on him.

He comes running back into the living room, looking extremely cute as the excitement for the rest of his birthday clearly shows.

She gulps as he looks at her in anticipation, waiting to hear what she wanted to tell him.

"Um, Kook, please come sit here, there is something very serious I need to talk to you about.", She says, Jungkook frowning at this sudden change in mood.

He complies to her request though, and moves to go and sit next to her.
She looks down at her hands as she goes over all the things she wanted to say, but no words seem to get past her lips.

"Uh, I just wanted to tell you that I am going to be a little late to your party, sorry, I'll try my best to be there as quickly as possible.", She blurts out, cursing herself inside for not going through with her plan.

"Oh? That's it? It's fine, just don't miss the whole thing!", He says playfully, feeling slight unease but shaking it off as nothing but pre-party jitters.

"You know you could have just texted me, right? It wasn't necessary to come over.", He points out, Cecile panicking at his point.

"I just wanted to make sure you got the message and that you're not mad at me or something.", She says quickly, feeling like a coward and betrayer for not telling him the truth.

"Oh, well that's fine then, you gonna stay over and help set everthing up or do you have to be somewhere else?", Jungkook asks, hoping she would stay so that they could spend more time together.

"Sorry, I have another appointment before the party, Kook. I have to go, I'm already late, see you later okay?", she says, Jungkook nodding in internal dissapointment, watching as Cecile dissapears as quickly as she appeared.

He sighs as he starts to perpare for the party, his servants helping him set up.

Cecile screams as soon as she gets to her car, feeling frustrated that she didn't come clean and tell Jungkook what she had wanted to tell him.

Why couldn't she just get it out in the open?
Was it because it would completely shatter his trust and friendship towards her?
Or was it because she was betraying him?

She grabs her hair in frustration as she starts the car, driving off towards apartment.

She needed to tell him, and it had to be today.

'I'm so sorry, Kook.', She thinks to herself as she drives, the feeling of guilt starting to eat her up.

Hours had passed and everthing was ready, the party venue was all set up and ready for the guests to enjoy.

Jungkook was busy getting ready in his room, his longer black hair being styled by Jin, who had come over extra early to help get his dongsaeng ready for his birthday party.

"Ah, you look so handsome Kookie, your lady guests won't be able to keep their hands off you.", Jin says as he steps away from his masterpiece, admiring how his youngest dongsaeng had grown up to be such a handsome man, even though he was still very young.

"Thanks for helping me get ready hyung, I hope you'll enjoy my hard work of planning this party.", He says with his cute bunny smile as Jin pinches his cheeks, laughing at how cute he was.

"I love everything you do, Kookie. As long as you also have fun, then I'm happy.", Jin says as he steps away, looking at his own handsome face in the mirror, admiring his features.

"Well, the time is getting near, you should go and greet your guests, I heard that some of them had already arrived.", Jin says, Jungkook nodding at the order of his hyung, going down the many stairs of his house towards the party room, which they had decorated in black and gold, with a stage, tables topped with various snacks and drinks and a DJ ready to make music for them the whole night long.

He smiles as he sees the rest of his group, his hyungs already stuffing their faces with the delicious snacks.

He laughs as they stop eating, all of them going to embrace their friend in a tight group hug.

"Aish, how are you so handsome, Kook?", Hoseok asks his friend and he looks at Jungkook's black suit and styled hair.

"Guess it's just how I am hyung.", He replies shyly, all the boys koo-ing at his cuteness.

"Happy birthday, Kook.", Namjoon says, Jungkook giving him a tight hug.
"Thank you hyung, thank you all for coming, I'm really glad you're all here!", Jungkook says happily as his hyungs laugh at his adorableness.

"Kookie! Jimin and I have a special surprise for you!", Taehyung screams happily, Jimin nodding in excitement as Taehyung drags the youngest member across the room, to where there was a considerable amount of presents already stacked on the table.

Jungkook opens the rectangular shaped present and sees that it's a picture frame with all their faces inside.

He remembered that day.
They were all at the arcade, playing games when Jin told them to take group photo.

He feels the love of his hyungs radiating out of the photo as he embraces his two hyungs in a hug.

"Thank you! I love this so much!", He says happily, clutching the picture frame to his chest.

"We're glad you like it, Kook!", Jimin says with a smile as he watches his friend admire their gift.

"Let's get back to the party! Almost all your guests are here already!", Taehyung says, pointing at all the new arrivals.

"Yeah, I should really go, please make yourselves at home okay hyungs?", Jungkook asks, the boys nodding.

Jungkook quickly moves towards the new arrivals, greeting all of his friends and telling them to enjoy the party.

Soon enough, the party is booming, all the young people dancing and drinking, enjoying themselves as they party on.

The time passes quickly as Jungkook sees on his new Rolex watch that 2 hours had already passed.

He looks around, hoping to spot Cecile in the crowd, but be doesn't.
So, he decides to take a quick break, taking some of his presents and taking them to his room, since the table was already reaching its capacity and wouldn't be able to hold any more presents.

As he approaches the room, he hears noises inside.
He frowns as he thinks to himself about what the noises could be.

He moves closer to the door, making sure not to be too loud, even though the music from downstairs was booming very loudly.

He hears two sets of voices, a female one and an older sounding male.

He then hears his own name being spoken between the couple and something along the lines of he needs to know something.

He feels confusion rise up in his head as he tries to decypher the conversation, but to no avail, the music is just too loud.

So, he decides to do something very risky.
He puts down the presents carefully, as to not break anything, and he slowly goes to turn the knob of the door, pushing slowly for a crack of vision to appear.

He knows it's wrong to snoop but it's his party and his bedroom!

When he looks through the small opening, he sees Cecile, talking with an older male.

When he turns his head a little to see better, he sees that it's his father that she was speaking to.

He still couldn't make out their conversation though and tried to open the door a little bit more.

But before he could do so, Cecile leans in and kisses the older male, Jungkook feeling disgust rise up in his throat.

He sees his father kiss her back passionately and he feels like he's going to pass out.

What was happening?!
Cecile and his father?!
Why were they kissing!?

Before he could stop himself, his sickened body falls through the door, scaring Cecile into a small scream.

"Kook?!", She asks as her eyes go big.
Did he see them kissing?
What was she going to do?

"Cecile what is going on?", Jungkook manages to ask as he sees Cecile looking down at her feet.

"Um, Kook, I don't know how to tell you this but-", she doesn't finish her sentence when Mr. Jeon chips in.

"We're engaged.", He simply says as Jungkook's vision goes dark.
He faintly hears Cecile trying to get him awake but he didn't want to be awake, he wanted to go away, he wanted the Earth to swallow him whole.

He opens his eyes though, hoping everything is only but a bad dream.

He sees Cecile on the floor next to him, trying to get him awake and his father to the side, a look of dissapointment on his face.

He sits up with the help of Cecile and looks around, hoping everthing that he remembers was only a dream but he knows it isn't when he sees the sparkling diamond on her finger.

Cecile sees him staring at her ring and she quickly retracts her hand, hiding it from him.

"Kook..I was going to tell you, I promise.", Cecile says as she looks at him with tears in her eyes.

"Cecile I love you, I'm the one that loves you not him!", Jungkook says quickly, hoping she would change her mind when she hears his feelings.

"I know you like me, Kook. And I'm sorry but I don't like you like that...I'm marrying your father. I hope you can accept it and find it in your heart to be happy for us.", Cecile says, standing up and going over to Mr. Jeon.

"Let's go Cecile, I have a feeling we're not welcome here anymore.", Mr. Jeon says, Cecile nodding as she looks at Jungkook's broken figure on the floor.

They leave and Jungkook starts to cry, not believing what was happening to him and wondering what he had done to deserve this, on his birthday of all days.

He sits there, in his room, feeling numb as Mark comes poking his head through the door, seeing the male on the floor, tear stains on his face.

"Kook what's wrong, what are you doing up here?", Mark asks, Jungkook looking at his huyng with a broken look on his face.

Mark quickly goes to his friend's side, trying to figure out what was wrong.
Jungkook just cries into his friend's shoulder when Mark goes to embrace him.

Jungkook spends the rest of his party up in his room, not talking to anyone, not even touching the food and birthday cake Jin brings him.

He wouldn't talk to anyone and didn't answer any of his calls or messages for a week.

When he finally did, he found out that Cecile and his father's wedding was in a month and that he was invited if he wanted to attend.

He didn't.
He stayed home and locked himself up in his room, once again shutting out the world.

He never trusted any woman after that time in his life and he became known as the playboy/party animal who had a different person in his bed each and every night.

It was unsure if he would ever recover, all his friends had given up trying to get him to stop because none had prevailed.

That was until Song entered his life.
After their meeting, he wanted to be better but he never let his guard down, still guarding his heart in a prison of ice.

But when he heard that he was going to be a father, he felt like he could let himself fall deeper in love again.

And that's precisely what he did, and it's the best thing that could have ever happend to him.

Finally his broken heart could be mended by the love of an angel.
