THE story of how the first wolf shifter came to be must first be told in the past before wolves could shift our forms. It all began when the Moon Goddess looked down on the word beneath her, as she always did. She wondered why it seemed so old and slow to her, everything had been the same for thousands of years and she had enough. Humans ruled the world as they always did, they were never challenged and she wanted to change that. So she decided to create a new creafure that would pose a threat to the humans. The Moon Goddess can down to the earth and there she walked, hoping to find the perfect creature that would be strong enough to fight back. Thus she walked, looking for a creature strong enough to fight back. Until one night, a lone wolf approached her. He had been watching the woman for many years and finally, he wanted to know who and what she was. He tried to talk to her but she understood nothing, so she decided that he would be the first. The Moon Goddess held out her hand urging the wolf closer and as he came near her, his body began to change. That night, under the glorious light of the moon. The first Wolf Shifter was born.

"You see son, our kind are needed in this world, we keep the balance. And when the moon shines on you, it'll be your time to show the world who you are." The young pup, that act on the mans lap looked up at him.

"But dad, why is it me?"

"You are an Alpha's son, you were born in this bloodline for a reason and one day you'll find that reason," the man flipped the pages, his son saw the drawing of a man and woman.

"Dad, what are those?"

"They are mates, each a half of the other. You have one out there my son."

"I do?" The man nods his head, the boy looks down at the drawing. "Where is she?"

"No one but the Moon Goddess knows and one day she'll bring your mate to you. Just promise me this son, you will always be kind to your mate, no matter what she may be."

"She could be something other then a wolf? But I thought that only wolves and humans lived in this world?"

"We are not the only ones, there are many. Just remember your mate, no matter what she may be, is your other half and you must be many things for her. Her knight that'll protect her, her husband that'll love her and the father to her children. Love, cherish, protect, be kind and enjoy her. Promise me you will son."

"I promise dad, I'll love her no matter what."

A promise made under the moons light, is a vow that'll last forever.
