Connor's P.O.V.

'CONNOR HELP!!!! I am at the wasteland junkyard! PLEASE COME QUICK!!' Was the first link message I had from Farrell since he told me Matt was taking him somewhere he didn't like. I started to ask around if people had seen Matt. It got really frustrating because nobody had seen Matt after he left when school was over.

So I kept pacing the place where Farrell's scent ended, I just couldn't make sense of it. That was until Mike came by and told me that someone (under the pressure of bodily harm) told him that they saw Matt hangout often at the abandoned Car shop at the edges of our land.

Then it clicked; wasteland junkyard! Of course! I told Mike to get Alex and meet me at the junkyard which was the car shop. Mike insisted I wait on them before going in, but I couldn't, I just couldn't wait any longer because Farrell was in great danger! I guess that Mike didn't understand because he hadn't find his mate just yet, but I couldn't wait another second to get to Farrell.

I hightailed out of the school parking lot towards the junkyard, 'Connor! Where the hell are you going man??' That was Alex, 'I'm going to save Farrell, and you can't stop me.' I heard him sigh at this; 'I know, I just want to know where you're going so I can give you backup man.' Always thinking I would need his backup, but I guess in this case I would need it. 'I send Mike to you so that you both can come help me out, Mike knows where Farrell is being held, and I'm on my way there now.'

I knew Mike and Alex didn't like each other, because before I knew Alex, Mike was destined to be my second in command, we knew each other inside out. Yet when we got to the age of sixteen something had changed about Mike and I couldn't call him my second anymore. All I want to say on this subject is that it has to do with his parents. So Alex got to be my second, it felt more natural for Mike to be my third.

But right now the only thing on my mind was Farrell, was he okay, and was he hurt, injured or anything like that. When I got there I was pacing around my car waiting for my Beta and Gamma to show up. I sighed when I heard Mike's mustang rumble up the dirt road which led to the junkyard. When they got out I told them the plan; it was simple and effective; get Farrell get out and strike down everybody else who would stand in our way.

I could tell by the way they glanced at each other that they didn't like the plan. Yet said nothing because they recognised my wolfs nervousness, because I was pacing so much and thinking of saving Farrell. I didn't notice the grove I made in the ground until Mike said so. "Will you stop pacing already? You're wearing out the ground."

After this we went over to the junkyard where we ran into a chick called Tania, and an older dude who was clearly in charge called Sean. I told him what I wanted, and they kept saying that he weren't here. That annoyed the hell out of me; I mean my nose doesn't lie!

Alex' P.O.V. (his first appearance ever!)

I could tell that Connor got annoyed the longer they stalled, which is dangerous for us all, I mean nobody knows how he will react to it. He could shift, which would result in most likely in a bloodbath, and that is something I would like to avoid thank you very much.

So I did what was expected of me; the Beta; "If you don't want to get seriously injured or worse I suggest you get yourselves outta here, and bring Farrell out here. We are not liable what our Alpha will do to you when he finds his mate Farrell hurt, injured or worse."

They paled at that, it took them quite some time before the threat registered, but the girl didn't seem to care as she charged Connor. Both I and Mike saw it happen, and Mike was quicker to react, seeing as he stood closer to Connor. While Mike held Connor, I pinned the girl to the ground with relative ease. The dude stood there gaping at us, "Don't just stand there! Get moving, bring us Farrell! That's the only way for this to end peaceful for everybody involved!"

So he scampered off to where ever they came from, more people poured out of every nook and corner, leaving us very, very outnumbered. Our biggest shock was seeing young kids, and then I mean really young kids like three or four years old.

'Do you think we should retreat or not?' That was Mike while I was wondering the same thing, Connor screamed 'I AM NOT LEAVING WITHOUT FARRELL DO YOU UNDERSTAND???' He was using his Alpha tone; we had no other way than to comply. 'Yes Alpha.'

Connor snorted, meaning he was satisfied with our response. Mike slowly let go of Connor seeing as the dude left, he calmed down considerably. Most of the kids made angry noises when they saw me pinning the girl down to the ground, I guess she is quite high ranked among them, seeing she is the only girl our age.

I let go of her, she glared at me, and I shrugged my shoulders it's not going to be my fault if she wants to be wolf shreds. She glared at Connor and muttered "I could have taken him." That made even Mike snort, "Right you and what army?" I asked her "He is the son of Alpha Lawson you know, so I guess it's safe to say you won't stand a chance against him, especially the mood his in now."

She tried to hide the fact that the news of him being Alpha Lawson son scared her, but I saw it and didn't mention it, she has enough trouble as it is.

Then this other dude who thinks he is some hot shit, successfully annoys Connor until he sees red and shifts and attacks him, Damnit! Where is Farrell when you need him? Me and Mike rush over and try to separate them before someone gets killed.

Well, that didn't go too well. Both me and Mike got bitten by Connor and slashed by the other dude; he pulled out a Swiss army knife from one of his numerous pockets. Mike was bleeding from a bite in his lower left leg, and I was bleeding from my lower right arm. And that's not counting the numerous shallow cuts were bleeding from. I praise that we're werewolves and heal fast, but I'll have to put up with Kate's bitching about it later.

Just when me and Mike decide to go back into the fray; it doesn't look good for the other dude,he is bleeding heavily, and is swaying around, Farrell comes rushing out. I let out a sigh of relief, and I see Mike slowly drop his tense shoulders.

Like magic Farrell says one word: "Connor!" and Connor backs away from the dude and rushes over to Farrell. Then the most awesome thing I have ever seen happened; Connor shifted in midstride from wolf to man, clutching Farrell to himself. I chough a little, making him glare angrily at me "You might want to put on some pants, there are minors here." He rolls his eyes but, accepts the sweatpants Mike handed him. While he was putting on the pants he didn't let go of Farrell, something that didn't escape the others.

I could hear Farrell talk to Connor; he face clearly said that he wasn't pleased about how things turned out. I looked at the dude with the Swiss army knife "Don't you need to go to the doctor? You're still bleeding." The dude snorted "We don't have one here at the moment, because he got killed in the last raid." The last part of his sentence fell into a murmur, it was the blood loss.

"Mike get them the first aid kit." Connor said, Mike scrambled off to do his bidding. He dude sneered "We don't need your help." "Be quiet Seamus! You're not in any shape to make that decision!" The other dude Sean says, he turns to Connor "We really appreciate it." Connor just nods.

After Seamus got the right treatment, and everybody was getting ready to leave, Matt made things worse by running out the building. Screaming bloody murder. Everybody tensed, but Sean stopped Matt in his tracks "He is not the one for you Matt; he obviously already has a mate." Then worst thing happened, everybody heard Farrell's little whimper at seeing Matt again. He snuggled further into Connor, really wanting to leave.

Not that anyone blamed the guy, Matt was the one that actually kidnapped him and held him hostage and professed his undying love for him. Talk about being a real creep. Of course Connor let out a threatening growl, he was warning Matt not to come any closer or there would be hell to pay.

And did he listen? Of course not, he just had to push his luck.

Farrell's P.O.V.

As soon I was out that door, I knew something bad had happened. I saw Alex and Mike bleeding and Connor fighting some dude with a Swiss army knife I had to stop him from killing him! "Connor!" Thank god he listened to me, and I got to see him shift in midstride, he really needs to teach me that. We rush towards each other, he clutches me close and I sigh of contentment at his scent, I feel myself relaxing in his warm, strong hold. Then I realised how much I missed him in the few days we were apart. I realised I never ever want to leave his side ever again!

I feel him shaking, "What's wrong Connor?" Instead of answering me, he looks at me and clutches me even closer before softly muttering "I thought I lost you, I don't want to be without you ever again!" My whole body tingles, and I feel complete. Ever since we found out we were mates he never really told me he wanted to be with me forever.

As I was basking in the warm feelings from this realisation, I hear the door open and Sean coming out telling Seamus not to scoff at the help and just be glad he was getting treatment. I look up to Connor "We need to tell your dad about this, they can't patrol these enormous boundaries by themselves." He nods lost in thought, I think he is talking to his dad.

Everything went downhill from there; Matt came walking out, screaming profanities at Connor, saying he was my mate as Missy was Connor's true mate. Then it clicked in my head that was probably why I saw Missy talking to Matt that time in the courtyard at school. I face palmed; why didn't I realise this earlier? Missy was never very happy with the announcement of me being his mate. I also know I was the reason they broke up, but she should have known that when Connor didn't recognise her as his mate that it was someone else.

I guess Matt never got over the fact that even though he was nice to me, I never had the type of feelings for him as he had for me. I really hope and pray that he won't do anything stupid to set Connor of again; I don't think I can keep Connor in check, if Matt decides to do something stupid. Luckily Sean is here to keep Matt in check, you could see the obvious relieve on some faces with Sean being there, so he is obviously the leader.

During my stay here with them, I came to see them as a pack of their own, they all look to Sean for leadership so if we want to help them we need to talk to Sean about things. Maybe we could even get Alpha Lawson here and acknowledge them, and maybe even get them to join the pack! That would be awesome! Because some of these children look like they could use some pack bonding, especially the childless couples could be helped and them too, it was a win-win situation.

Before I could say anything to Connor about my brilliant plan, Matt broke away from Sean and was making his way over to us, with madness in his eyes. A lot of other people tried to stop him, but he managed to either dodge or evade them. So Alex took it upon himself to stop him and Mike was hovering near us in case Alex failed to stop Matt.

I know that I'm not Mike's biggest fan but, I was happy he was on our side. I know I can trust him with my life. As if reading my mind Mike snorted and rolled his eyes but kept watching Matt and Alex. As does Connor so I link to him instead of talking; Hey do you think we might get them to join the pack? What do you mean join our pack? Are they a pack of their own? No I don't mean it that way, what I mean is that they are rejected by either their parents or society and could use some pack stability.

He didn't answer me directly which meant he was thinking about it. I guess we could but then we first need to get them to agree to come to the pack house for a formal introduction. I don't know, I don't think they will, but you can always ask Sean about it, I think he is their pack leader.

Both of us look up when we heard a loud bang, it shocked everyone, and Matt saw his chance to attack Connor. The loud bang was the door from which I came; Ryan was standing there, just staring at Mike who was doing the same. But after a while he just shook his head and paled when he was that I was standing there alone. Matt and Connor were rolling on the ground, each trying to get the upper hand in this fight. I looked around for Alex and found him clutching a bleeding arm. I looked back at Mike, I will look after Alex will you go help Connor? I don't think he would be able to fight with me there. Mike didn't answer but I saw the slight nod he gave me, and rushed off to where Connor and Matt were fighting.

I rushed off in the other direction, Alex' bleeding needs to stop; he was already looking ashy pale, indicating he lost a good amount of blood. I turned to Seamus "Do you have any bandages left?" he nods, and hands me the kit and I root around looking for a suitable one to use on his other arm. "Don't you need to be near Connor?" I smile at his question "And get him distracted from the fight so Matt could badly harm him? No." As I start to wrap his arm, I sent out a link to our Alpha he needs to know about this, Alpha we are at the junkyard wasteland at the edge of our lands, Matt and Connor are having a big fight and Alex and Mike are wounded. And there is a small pack here with young kids who need a stable environment, could you please come, or send someone because I'm really afraid that Connor might kill Matt.

I'm coming. Was the only thing I heard, and when I told Sean what I did he went pale in the face. I told him it needed to be done or else the fight might end very badly for both parties. At that he seemed to calm down a little, especially when I told him the Alpha might even help them out about patrols and other security details, he will sort them out. We might even get them to join the pack, if they want to; because they don't need to if they don't want to.

Alpha Lawson's P.O.V

I was going through pack protocol about Missy when I got Farrell's distressed link about Matt and Connor fighting and the other kids that are present at the fight. I never knew they were there, and as I asked my security chef; Logan Crawford, who's also my beta, he said that they were very good at hiding their tracks and he didn't perceive them as a threat. But I would have liked to know that they were there, because that part is a sort of no man's land, meaning a lot of rogue's and wonderers come through there, and of course the boundaries with other towns and packs are there as well.

I told my wife what I was up to and she agreed we should see if they want to join our pack, so that they have some stability and better resources than they have now. And my Beta went with me to the junkyard to settle the fight. On our way there, he was silent; I could tell he wasn't very happy that he overlooked the place when we were looking for Farrell. "Look Logan it's not your fault that you didn't find Farrell okay? I know you were very busy with the scuffle between Missy's parents and making sure they won't go anywhere." He didn't look at me when he responded "That is not an excuse for not checking this place thoroughly, because if we did we might have found him earlier." He clenched his teeth, a sign that he is beating himself over it. I squeezed his hand "The most important thing is that Farrell is found and coming home."

When we reached the place Connor was, bleeding from several shallow cuts, and Matt looked like he went through a meat grinder. Luckily for him Mike was holding Connor from doing even more damage.

"Connor!" all heads snapped up in our direction, "Alpha! Please they need to stop!" that was Farrell, who was putting bandages on a beat up looking Alex. I surveyed the scene, a lot of underfed children, who were hiding behind a tall boy That is Sean Alpha; he is the leader of them. That was Farrell again; it was good that even though they are in a tight spot he thinks ahead.

Logan caught Matt, he was struggling with him, but Logan was having none of it, and cuffed him and put him in the car. I was waiting patiently for Connor to calm down enough to give me a report of the situation, when the tall boy walked over to me, he bowed his head "Alpha Lawson, it's an honour to meet you in person." I was surprised to see this boy has some pack training, so I nodded at him, saying that I was willing to listen to what he had to say.

Well I didn't expect that all these children were abandoned by their parents just because, they weren't careful. I also understood that they won't trust me I don't expect them too. But he would appreciate it that if what Farrell said was true, that they would like to join the pack, he also said that some might not like it, but he had to think of the small ones who would benefit from pack stability.

He was a very sensible and reliable guy. And what Farrell said would be true a lot of couples in the pack would love to have more children, even if they are not of their blood.

In the time I was talking with Sean, Connor calmed down enough to give me the report on the situation with Sean filling in the blanks and agreeing about the things Matt did, and hoping that we won't judge them too hard about the fact Matt was holding Farrell here, and they did nothing to help him.

I nodded my head; I made my decision on how to punish Matt and Missy accordingly. I also made a decision about what to do about the youngsters here. So I turned to face them, I saw some cringe in fear; they must have heard the things I did to my enemies.

"As you all know I'm alpha Lawson, also the mayor of the town of Clearwater and I offer you a place in my pack and my town. Should you accept my offer you will place yourselves under my care and thus under my rules. It won't be an issue if you don't want to join our pack you are free to choose not to and stay here. I will come back later this week for your answer, and now I need to take my son, his mate and my son's Beta and Gamma home." With that said I turned around and walked away a few paces when I heard "Alpha Lawson!"

I turned around and saw Sean holding up another young man in need of some serious treatment. "Of course you can take your friend to our hospital, and if you want my Beta Logan Crawford will take you there." At hearing his name Logan popped up offering them a ride to the hospital. With that sorted, I just needed to sort out the trouble of getting Connor, Farrell, Alex and Mike in my car and home. Farrell fixed the problem for me "Alpha I will take Connor home, I don't think it's a good idea to have him and Matt in a confined space together. We could take Mike's car back, since Matt is in Connor's car." At this Mike threw his keys to Farrell; who caught them in his hand, and helped Connor to Mike's car.

"Alright are we all set?" this was met with nods; we said goodbye to the other kids and drove home to the pack house.
