2. WONDERful Revenge!
Dedicated to my friend Sophia L. who inspired this story!
A/N I am finally updating! Yay! Before reading this story, I want you to know that this story is intended to be fictional, please don't get any dangerous ideas from this (☺) or try the things mentioned in this short story. Also no offense to Canada's Wonderland, I also think your merchandise and food is overpriced. Enjoy!

"Kallie! Jen! Get your butts over here now before the security guards see you!" I was seriously beginning to regret bringing them with me. What are they doing just standing there?! Why don't they find somewhere to HIDE. Taking a deep breath, I remind myself that I would rather take the risk of being caught because of my confused friends, then carry all our REVENGE supplies by myself.
They were standing in the middle of the bridge right in front of the entrance to Canada's Wonderland, wondering where I went. From my vantage point, I saw the guards that had went into one of the shops coming out.
"Climb over the side and hang onto the bars" My voice coming out a little more strained and panicked. Finally figuring out where my voice came from they both hurried over and joined me.
Getting caught is the worst thing that could possibly happen to us right now.
We snuck in.
Bypassed the checkpoints. Didn't pay the fee for entrance tickets.
Canada's Wonderland already closed to the public for the night, the last stragglers on their way home and the rides all shut down. Yet we were still here. Hanging onto the side of a bridge.
And for what you may ask? Well, it's to get revenge on THEM. The people who work at the squishmallow stand because they overpriced my penguin!
(A/N In case you don't know what a squishmallow is, ((I definitely didn't, until a few months ago)) it is a plush toy. That is the best definition I could come up with...😅I posted a picture of some squishmallows up top.)
Summer break was slipping away fast, leaving only three mere days until school started. Of course being me, I wanted to make the most of it. I had sat up in bed hugging my new penguin squishmallow closer and grabbed my phone from my bedside table, opening up Instagram.
The first message I saw in the group chat instantly hooked me.
"Y'all got those squishmallow things for $20 each at Canada's Wonderland...Look what I found at Costco."
And then my friend sent me the proof. A picture of a box of 8 squishmallows, with the price tag saying $20, for the WHOLE box.
I had stared at the device in my hand. And remember thinking...WHAT! DO YOU MEAN TO TELL ME, THAT I PAID $20 FOR THIS ONE SQUISHMALLOW WHEN I COULD HAVE PAID $20 FOR 8?!?!
Jaw dropping I had thrown the little penguin I had in my arms across the bed even though I knew that it wasn't my squishmallow's fault, then I quickly typed back my response."Wow, I feel scammed." Fast forward our conversation and it pretty much ended with me saying... "You guys up for raiding Canada's Wonderland to get my money back?" I waited for someone to answer and the replies came 5 seconds later.
"U will need to pay more to get in than what you will get back!"
"Hmm...u could always sneak in. They must have a secret entrance somewhere."
"What about the 'rents?"
"We could say that we are having a sleepover at my sister Hilda's. She won't mind and will play along for a while after we leave, in case our parents call her to check on us."
Jen, Kallie and I, told our parents we were having a sleepover at my sister's house. It wasn't a total lie because after the job was done, we would come back and crash at her place for the rest of the night. At least that was the plan.
We were given the "go ahead" and that was how we ended up in Canada's Wonderland at 10pm.
"Ok, I think they're gone. If I remember correctly, I bought my squishmallow near the bumper cars."
Climbing back onto the bridge we quickly looked left, right and all around. The shops were ahead of us and the Guardian was behind so we turned left. Sticking to the shadows cast by Wonder Mountain and hiding every few minutes from the security guards turned our 20 minutes tops revenge plan, into a 2 hour long one. Including the time it would take us to sneak back out.
"Finally!" Callie sighed out, our target in sight.
Scanning the area, I begin to hurry towards the squishmallow stand, Callie and Jen hot on my heels.
"Drop your bags ladies and let's make this snappy!" I bark at them in my best sergeant voice.
The cardboard box came together quite nicely, we only had to use one roll of tape and trim a few overlapping edges. I opened up my bag and got the honour of being the one to gently place the eight squishmallows inside our box then seal them in. A few tears escaped our eyes as we placed the box in front of the stand and attached our note.
"Voila! Our masterpiece is perfect!" yelled Callie.
Jen and I shot her matching death glares as her eyes slowly widened with the realization of what she had done.
Pounding footsteps and beams of light were heading towards us.
So we ran out of there, throwing stealth out the window and hoping speed got us out.

*A couple of minutes later*
Guard (3rd person view)
The footsteps slowly faded away as they gained more and more ground, leaving him and Robert in their dust. Robert gave up on trying to chase them down at the same time he did. Both older men panting with their hands on their knees without enough breath to even voice their cursing out loud to the still night air. After a solid 10 minutes of trying to catch their breath, he recovered first and spoke to Robert."Ey Rob, wha'dya think they were doin' here at this time of night?"
"Dunno Joe. Let's go see if they did anything so we can put it in our report for today. We might even get a promotion from this lousy job!"
The guards carefully retraced their steps, flashlight's waving around everywhere to look for anything out of place. Robert suddenly cried out. "I found some sorta box and a scrap O paper attached to it! What should we do?"
Joe hurried over and stared at the horribly made box housing 8 brand new squishmallows. "Well we can just resell those and toss the box. What's the paper say?"
Huddled close together the guards puzzled over the misspelled word written in small neat handwriting, smack dab in the middle of the page.
Revenngee!
