11. Bad Omens
A/N This is kind of...weird. You have now been warned! Enjoy! ;)

Tears raced down my cheeks as I limped into the forest leaving a trail of their blood behind me.
I tried to be kind.
Golden leaves fell from above joining the mixture of the dead and decomposed. Some of the leaves that fell ahead were destined to meet the soles of my red speckled, ebony boots.
Nobody ever said it's a party for one. A lonely existence and an uphill battle.
Nothing could stop the inevitable creation of a new enemy because we made our own choices. She joins them and I become hunted. Nothing will mend a broken pinky promise. Witches aren't welcome here.
Even though I tried my best to be normal.
My mother's voice came to the forefront of my mind whispering how I should have known she could never truly accept me. I used the sleeve of my sweater to wipe away as many tears as I could and continued towards the heart of the forest. For this, I must summon my strength.
I've ignored you. I've wronged you. For that, I am sorry.
Miniature tornadoes formed between tree trunks and roots to lift up a few bits of colour, as if it acknowledged my thoughts. I could also see a few branches swaying in a sudden gust of wind.
It finally appeared just ahead. The heart of the forest took the form of massive tree covered in moss, lichen and knots. It dipped and curved, creating shadows in unnatural places before branching out into a dense golden canopy. The forest floor was dappled with sunlight.
I carefully walked up to the trunk and waited a few seconds before falling to my knees at its base. A strong gust of wind made my hair form into a dark cloud while I shut my eyes and placed a palm on the tree.
I give in.
The sound of thunder rumbled in the distance and I could hear the faint sound of rain droplets hitting leaves. The approaching storm could mean nothing or it could mean everything.
My choice is made.
I could feel a darkness closing in without having to open my eyes, yet I still kept my hand flat and glued in place. To put yourself at the mercy of another was to trust them wholeheartedly, it is a testament of how much strength you possess. I trust the heart of the forest.
I wish to be friends forever.
The forest suddenly went silent and still. The darkness closed in and blinded me. I started gasping for air and I was caught in a tight fist of terror, I could feel my body starting to shut down.
I meant to surrender to nature, not darkness.
My palm slipped off the trunk and I fell into his arms. The screams tearing from my throat broke the silence as he took me away.
