Aiko's P.O.V.

Today is my second day of school... and also my birthday... and Artemis is following me to school!

"You need to go home, Artemis," I said, bending down to pet him. "You could get lost out here. I don't want you to get hurt."

Artemis turned around and went home, and then I ran to school.

Time skip to lunch...

"Wanna go somewhere after school?" Dara asked after we ate.

"I can't," I told her. "I have to head home right after... my mother said so."

"Why?" Bree questioned.

"Well... to be honest, today's my birthday..."

"WHAT?!?!"

"Happy Birthday to you," Dara started.

"Happy Birthday to you," Ena continued. Seriously?

"Happy Birthday, dear Ai," they all said together.

"Happy Birthday to you," Bree finished.

"...thanks," I told them. "But you really didn't have to..."

"We'll go shopping and get presents for you and everything!" Bree exclaimed.

"Thanks, girls..."

After school...

"I'm home!" I called as I came in.

"You're late, little sis!" Amanda yelled as I closed the door.

"I was out shopping with my friends for free period at the end of school, but we ran over."

"Mom!" Amanda called. "Aiko likes being with her friends more than she likes being with us!"

"I didn't say that!!!" I told her as mother came into the room.

"Happy Birthday, Aphrodite!" My mother exclaimed, giving me a present.

"You didn't have to," I told her. I already know what it is. It's a pen. My sister got one when she turned my age. I unwrapped the gift and I saw a pen. Called it!

"Uh... thanks?

Later that night...

I felt like sleeping. That's the one thing that I'm best at, I guess. I got a light load of homework today and I got it all done. I feel tired and want to sleep. Big parties are thrown to celebrate Amanda's birthday, but no one does for me. The one time someone actually gave me a Party was my friends at the mall today.

I opened the door to my room and saw Artemis on the bed.

"Hey, Artemis," I greeted, sitting next to him and petting him. "You feel for me, don't you?" Artemis crawled onto my lap and curled up into a ball.

"You've been with me my whole life, and you probably know me better than I know myself..."

He nodded.

"You're pretty unique, especially having that crescent mark on your forehead... I just wonder... why is it there?"

"It's because I'm not an ordinary cat." Did he just...

"ARTEMIS?!?!"

"Please, Aiko, calm down!" he told me. "We can't let anyone else know I can talk!"

I heard running and my door was thrown open by my mother and Amanda.

"You're too loud!" Amanda yelled at me.

"What's wrong, sweetie?" my mother asked. I was about to tell her when I remembered what Artemis told me. I mustn't tell anyone.

"I was just... Umm... startled by the fact Artemis was on my bed! That's all..." I lied, stroking Artemis' fur. My mother nodded and left. My sister glared at me before she walked out the door.

When I knew it was safe, I talked with Artemis.

"So... you can talk?" He nodded.

"And you take this better than anyone else who found out."

"Why did you tell me now?"

"Because you're special, and so is that pen." My... pen?

"What's so special?"

"Just twirl it like so and find out." Umm... ok?

I followed his instructions and then there was a bright flash of light... and my clothes changed?!

"What happened to my clothes? This skirt is uncomfortably short!"

"You're now a Sailor Guardian, Aiko," he told me.

"A Sailor... Guardian?" I asked. "What is that?"

"I'll explain on the way. You must help the others!"

"What?! There are others?!?!"

Third Person P.O.V.

"It's too strong!" a red Sailor Guardian exclaimed, being launched across the battle zone.

"We can't land a single hit!" a green Sailor Guardian yelled, joining the blue one in the floor.

"It's as if we don't have the right attacks!" a blue Sailor Guardian added, joining her comrades.

The monster was just about to deal the final blow when a beam shot it, causing it to stumble backwards. The three guardians looked up to the source. Standing on a building, with one hand on her hip, was another Sailor Guardian!

"What?!" the monster shouted in shock.

"Yay! Another Sailor Guardian has come to save us!" the blue guardian exclaimed with joy. The new guardian leaped from her moonlit perch and landed in front of them.

"Who are you?" the red guardian asked inquisitively.

"We can save the introductions for later!" the Sailor Scout said, taking a battle stance. "Right now, it's time to fight!" She threw a glowing chain at the monster and tied it up. The chain then shocked the monster so hard it disintegrated. The new guardian helped the others up and they began questioning her.

"Let me ask again," the red guardian began. "Who are you?"

"Me? Umm..." The girl thought about what to call herself. "You can call me Sailor A."

"Why do you not say anything for your moves?" the blue guardian asked.

"Because this is just a temporary form," Sailor A replied.

"What's your Guardian Planet?" the green guardian wondered.

"Sailor A's Guardian Planet is Venus, the planet of love," a white cat explained.

"The cat talked!" the red guardian shouted, startled by the voice that came from the creature.

"This is Artemis," Sailor A told them. "He's my Guardian Cat."

"He's your guardian?" the green guardian asked in disbelief.

"No. He is a Sailor Guardian Cat of the Moon Kingdom. He's a member of the team." The others nodded in understanding?

"Kinda like Luna," the blue one added.

"Oh yeah..." the red guardian remembered.

"I'm right here you know!" the black cat, Luna, exclaimed. The three guardians sweat-dropped in embarrassment.

"Now for my question," Sailor A began. "What are your names?"

"Sailor Mercury," the blue one answered.

"Sailor Mars," the red one responded.

"And I'm Sailor Jupiter," the green one introduced.

"Nice to meet you all, but I've gotta go. Until next time!"

Sailor A and Artemis ran off into the moonlight, and they left the three other guardians wondering: 'Who is she really?'

Aiko's P.O.V.

I detransformed and collapsed on my bed.

"Best. Birthday. Gift. Ever!" I feel so happy and unique! I finally feel special! No more being in the shadow of my sister. I can now be the Sailor Guardian of Venus, Sailor A!

I'm so happy...
