*Johnny's P.O.V*

I followed the girls down the stairs of the cave and out the front door, outside it was dark and a thick blanket of fog covered the ground, giving it an eerie feel. I followed them to a building on the outskirts of the Underground. The sign outside the building read: Miss Cruncher's home for monster orphans.   

"Wha-what are we doing here?" I asked Stella.

"This is the bad future, where you broke up with mommy and left us" said Stella. 

 "Why would I do that?" I asked, disgusted with myself.

"You couldn't see what a family was worth..." said Stella sadly. 

"No Daddy?" asked Boo whimpering. It broke my heart to hear her say that.

Then I saw a hooded figure walk past us, holding a basket. The hood was pulled over their face so I couldn't see who it was.

The figure put the basket on the steps of the orphanage and removed the hood: It was Nessie! And inside the basket were two little monster babies that looked a whole lot like Stella and Boo. It slowly dawned on me that Nessie was giving up the babies! And it was all because I left her! 

"Nessie?" I said hoping-praying she could hear me "Nessie, please don't do this!"

She couldn't hear me though, instead she began to sob looking down at the sleeping babies.

"I'm sorry, I'm so-so sorry" she said, choking on tears "I just can't do it alone! I can't-" she stopped and took several shaking breaths. "It would have been better if your father was here... but he isn't!"

It started to rain, Nessie tucked the twins under a blanket, put her hood up and walked away.

"This is wrong" I said to the girls "it's wrong that I left her and the babies."

The girls said nothing, they were too young to understand. Instead they walked away, I followed.

 "Now where are we going?" I asked.

"Home" said Stella.

"Why?" I asked.

"it's time for you to choose" said Boo.

"Choose what?" I asked.

"The future you want for yourself and us" said Stella.

We walked back to our cave and they stopped at the front door. I looked at them as I reached for the door handle.

"You guys aren't coming in?" I asked.

They looked at each other."You have to do it on your own from now on" said Stella.

"Okay" I said, putting my hand on the door handle.

"Daddy?" said Boo.

I turned and  looked at her "Yes, Boo?"

"Whatever future you choose... we'll always love you" she said.

I smiled, happy tears in my eyes. "I love you too, girls" I told them.

Then I turned the handle and went in.

That's when I woke up on the couch, the phone was ringing I rushed over to it.

"Hello?" I said, sleepily.

"Hello, is this Johnny?" said a woman's voice on the other end.

"Yeah" I said, rubbing my eyes.

"This is Nessie's nurse, you have to get down to the hospital right now!" she said "the baby has grown miraculously in the past few hours and Nessie has gone into labor!"

"WHAT!" I yelled.

"She's refusing to give birth without you!" said the nurse "Please! get down here!"

"Tell her I'm on my way!" I said, dropping the phone and running for the door.
